The secret is now revealed… Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets will be playing early Pink Floyd at four intimate live shows across London. The tickets go on sale from 10am today here.

This is a unique opportunity to experience Pink Floyd’s celebrated and significant early body of work played live; Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets are Nick Mason, Gary Kemp, Guy Pratt, Lee Harris and Dom Beken.

Say goodbye, sometime next decade, to the CD. Watch the vinyl sales do whatever it does – personally a big fan of the format, but it’s not going to save the industry. Rumours are that Apple will close their downloadable service next year, too.

In recent years, on-demand streaming has emerged as a possible solution for the industry’s pains and after years of decline, the music industry has returned to growth. But despite looking like the music industry’s lifeline, streaming services such as Spotify have often been criticized in the past for not paying artists adequately.

The following chart by Statista shows that a single stream doesn’t bring a lot of money rolling in if you’re an artist with a few thousand streams, but you really don’t hear the bigger artists complain as those pennies truly add up. However, there is a substantial difference between the many services competing for the listeners’ money.

Sebastian Bach announces North American summer tour

Celebrated rocker Sebastian Bach is recognized globally as a vocalist, television star, actor and beyond, and he’s just announced a North American tour.

Bach hit the spotlight in the late 1980’s as the iconic frontman for mainstream heavy metal / hard rock act Skid Row. Since his departure from Skid Row in the mid 90’s, Sebastian Bach still remains one of the most relevant rock figures in pop culture today, with three solo records, network television appearances on MTV, VH1 and CMT, guest appearances on Gilmore Girls, Trailer Park Boys, Californication and other popular television shows, and several acting stints on and off Broadway. Bach’s most recent album, Give ‘Em Hell impressively, landed on the U.S. Top Hard Rock and Top 200 Billboard charts, proving his prowess decades after his initial debut. Bach’s Harper Collins memoir 18 And Life on Skid Row was released in 2017. He also appeared in the recent seasons of the Gilmore Girls and Trailer Park Boys in Fall 2017 via Netflix.

Lottie From Goat Girl Gets It Right When It Comes To Gender And Music

Do you think being part of a band with only women has been a good thing or do you see it as a neutral point?

Lottie, Goat Girl: I don’t think you should strive to create an all-female band, that’s not what we intentionally did, it’s just because we love working together and we’re all really good friends; at the end of the day, that’s what you need over everything. That relationship with each other when you know what each other is thinking and this almost telepathic way of working, where one of us comes up with a song and everybody instantly kind of gets it. That’s the kind of connection you need to strive for to build a band, and gender isn’t necessarily important to that. Maybe it is in a way as we’re all female, maybe there’s a certain energy that we have working together because of that, but it’s not something we intentionally went for to have an all-female band.

That in itself is strange, that people see us as a “female band” – not just a band – that you have to have the gender associated with it. It’s something that just doesn’t exist for guys. It becomes a selling point, which is when I have a problem with it. It’s good to use your gender to inspire people, to show that everyone can do it and it’s an open opportunity, but I don’t think people should necessarily acknowledge that it’s just because we’re females.
