Jason Mraz Announces “Good Vibes” North American Summer Tour

0

Multiple GRAMMY Award winner Jason Mraz has today announced plans for a North American summer tour, joined by his SuperBand and featuring special guest Brett Dennen. “GOOD VIBES” begins Friday, July 18th at Cleveland, OH’s Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica and then continues through early September.

Prior to “GOOD VIBES,” Mraz – who only last night concluded his acclaimed (and twice extended) Broadway debut run in the hit musical, Waitress – is poised to embark on a more intimate live tour, dubbed “An Evening With Jason Mraz, Solo Acoustic.” Those dates begin Thursday, March 8th at Raleigh, NC’s Raleigh Memorial Auditorium and then continue through the month.

Brett Dennen’s new single “Already Gone” from his forthcoming EP “Let’s…” has been consistently climbing the BDS Radio Charts since its January debut at #23 (most recently reaching #10), and is Dennen’s fastest climbing AAA song of his career.

Mraz recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of his RIAA platinum certified major label debut album, “WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME,” with the album’s first-time-ever vinyl release. The “WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME” double LP is available now on standard black vinyl at all music retailers carrying vinyl records (see here); an orange vinyl edition is exclusively available via Barnes & Noble. All vinyl editions feature expanded artwork by Robert Fisher and Alison Dyer, plus lyrics and new liner notes by Mraz.

As PEOPLE recently noted, “WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME” launched Mraz “from the Southern California coffee house scene into global stardom and the forefront of contemporary American singer-songwriters.” Released October 15th, 2002, “the album indeed propelled Mraz to the forefront of contemporary American pop, fueled by a trio of indelible hit singles in “You And I Both,” “Curbside Prophet,” and the #1 favorite, “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry).” The latter single proved Mraz’s breakthrough, ascending to the top 15 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” while also reaching the top of the “Top 40 Adult Recurrents” chart.

How to learn piano online

With the growing technology, we’ve seen a lot of materials being produced to aid with the learning process. These materials include eBooks, software, blog posts and articles among others.

Well, for today, we are going to focus on software as a way of learning how to play piano. Learning to play a piano should be interactive and fun and this is why many emerging materials are usually updated with more interactive features to help facilitate the learning process. (are you interested in the history of the instrument?)

Choosing the best software can be a relatively difficult task especially when you have to consider some things. Anyway, worry not as this article will go through some of the best available software you can use to help you learn.

Software you might want to consider

  1. Piano Nanny

Many times when you want to access the internet but the page you want to view takes ages to load, you will always feel like throwing away your device through the window right?

Well, with piano nanny, you won’t experience any of this. The most liked feature of this product is that, it has minimal graphics. This means that it will be easier for you as a learner to access the pages a bit faster with a lot of ease.

It is suitable for use in areas with low internet connection. It is also available at no cost.

  1. Piano for All

If you are looking for something that will serve you with a lot of convenience, this would be a great place to start. It incorporates the use of embedded audio and video that can instantly be accessed to help with the learning process.

With piano for all, you won’t have to bother about looking for extra files separately to view or to listen to the audio files. Their availability makes your learning process to go easily and smoothly.

Piano for all also gives you a good foundation for music versatility and a specific clear focus.

  1. Zebra keys

Did I forget to mention that you can be able to learn how to play the piano without worrying about the bank? Yes you can. Zebra keys will provide you with everything you need when learning how to play a piano completely for free.

Zebra key is an impressive product considering the fact that they offer good quality lessons and materials without asking for any form of payment.

All you need to pay is attention. It is an ideal product for beginners as it also gives you the ability to hear and view songs as you continue playing them.

  1. Learn Piano online

Even the more accomplished artists or even song writers don’t usually have any idea of how their musical ability has been made from the earlier concepts they learned at the basic level.

Learn piano online will take you from an armature to a pro while equipping you with the full understanding of the music you are playing. With learn piano online, you can find yourself even becoming a tutor within a short time.

  1. Playground Sessions

Just from the name alone, you can already have an idea of what this software is about.

It gives you the ability to actually see the music how it looks like and feel it then concludes everything by giving it an approach that will make sense to you regardless of your level of skills.

Practically, this is what everyone who is aiming to be a great musician should be going for. This software also has the ability to allow you to play any song of your choice when learning.

It also incorporates things like rewards, progress charts and points just to help you in tracking your progress.

Conclusion

There are many software products and materials, like the ones provided on this website, that you can use to help you with your learning process.

Well, even though the decision to choose which one best suits you is yours, I have taken the liberty to help you find a better product by putting together the above list.

For some musicians, they would always describe music s a calling but for ordinary people like you and me, you only need to have a passion for it and believe in what you do.

With the list already in place, it’s your turn to make the pick. Remember, perfect practice always makes perfect. Enjoy your lessons.

Retro Muppet Concert Posters That Never Happened

0

Michael De Pippo had a wonderful idea a few years ago – to create concert posters for a show that never happened. He designed these five posters for a gig by The Muppets’ rock and roll band Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

Michael says on his website, “I love the Muppets. And with the movie coming out in the next couple of months, there is no better time for a fun little side project involving the best band ever conceived: Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

“My idea was simple; create a vintage concert poster for each band member (Dr. Teeth, Janice, Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Zoot and Animal). Using clean, crisp vectors, negative space and few colours, I wanted to keep them as simple and stylized as possible; reminiscent of retro posters from back in the day.”

The posters were later officially licensed by Disney and available to purchase, but are now sold out, sadly. Let’s hope there’s a new run.

Short Cuts: The Best Songs Heard On February 10, 2018 From The Indie World

Andy OK
Remembering You
The words from performer to fan: ” I remember when you were coming to my shows I was playing for you, darling, and you, alone.” Not sure if he ever saw again, but he got a great song out of it, which is even better to musicians.

Livingmore
Egg Shells
Passionate and incredibly catchy, you’ll be excused if you go hunting for their other releases immediately and starting to sing along after a few listens to their recent album. It’s ok. I did.

Ryan Dunlap
It’s Late
From Perrysburg, OH, there’s a lot going on in this grab-bag of jumpy, rootsy rock, and if Dave Matthews ever needs an opening act, this is your guy. He might just take a lot of his fans with him, too.

Simple Forces
One More Time
The namesake of bassist Chuck Cote, the track injects you with a massive shot of pure rock with roaring guitars and killer hooks all the way through. If this came out in the 90s, it would be huge. Today, there’s still a shot for success. Don’t bet against him.

Bloom
The Sweetest Love
Perth Singer/Songwriter, Amanda Canzurlo, who has long performed under the pseudonym of Bloom, is set to release her new single just in time for Valentines Day. You might think that all that needs to be said about love has been sung, but this is your new definitive start to the romanitic holiday.

Kent Besocke
California Arrow
With his cowboy hat set to rocker, he’s got an engaging style of songwriting. Worthy of your attention if you love that classic Americana sound.

Heart XO
How I Feel
Deisnged to showcase the great variety of his flows, all of them downright cool.

TOLEDO
Crane Song
Ten years ago Daniel and Jordan of Toledo were 12 years old, separately busking in a small port town in northeast Massachusetts. They have have bought a really great record collection with their new-found money, because they definitely learnt from the greats of Radiohead, Nick Drake and Feist. Ladies and gentlemen, you are now floating into space.

Mezmah
Silver Lining
From London, United Kingdom, the rapper sends along his single, produced by Keith Classiq. He goes into places others would never even seek.

Vargas & Lagola
Roads
The dynamic duo have gone from successful solo artists to Swedish Grammy-winning songwriters and producers. With prior writing credits as varied as Madonna, David Guetta, Avicii and Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Katy Perry, Sia and Swedish House Mafia, they’ve kept the best thing they’ve written to themselves. Smart move.

Adam Gross
Energy (feat. Mat Layton)
Go on and put this one when you’re having a bad day. On a good day. Either way, you’ll be grinning when you hear lines like Today’s the best day / Tomorrow’s better / That’s all inside of you / So let it shine through.

Ruler
Not Your Friend
The latest single from new Barsuk Records artist that teeters on exploding into choas if you just took hold of the guitars, but gets to the steady walk into the void. Fans of R.E.M.’s Automatic For The People’s genius should best seek this out.
