The Carpenters: The Vinyl Collection To Be Released November 17

0

On November 17, A&M will release The Vinyl Collection, a new career-spanning 12-LP vinyl box set chronicling the recorded output of one of the most celebrated and best loved duos in pop/rock history, the Carpenters.

The Carpenters’ The Vinyl Collection box set includes all 12 albums replicated on 180-gram black vinyl and housed in a stylish slipcase. Each album features lovingly restored original packaging and related artwork. Mastered for vinyl by Ron McMaster (The Beach Boys, Don McLean) at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, each album will also be released individually. The box set does not include their two Christmas albums.

This unprecedented box-set collection chronicles the runaway success of the Carpenters’ super-successful 14-year career, which resulted in 11 studio albums and a greatest hits collection, The Singles 1969 – 1973, that has been certified at seven-times platinum and features such indelible chart-topping hits as We’ve Only Just BegunTop of the World, Superstar, Rainy Days and Mondays, Goodbye to Love, Yesterday Once More, It’s Going to Take Some Time, Sing, For All We Know, Hurting Each Other, and (They Long to Be) Close to You.

The Carpenters – vocalist/drummer Karen and her older brother, pianist/composer/arranger Richard – are one of the most successful sibling duos in pop/rock history, having garnered over 100 million album and singles sales to date. Their unique blend of smooth vocal harmonies and classically influenced pop arrangements frequently vaulted them to the top of the charts, resulting in three No. 1 singles and five No. 2 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and a dozen Top 10 singles overall, not to mention an astonishing 15 No. 1s on the Adult Contemporary chart.

Karen and Richard have more than earned their superstar standing as one of the world’s most popular and bestselling duos of all time, and their influence as songwriters, performers, and composers  spans  multiple generations and genres. The Carpenters have long elicited critical praise as well as numerous accolades from their contemporaries, from such notable artists as Paul McCartney, Gwen Stefani, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé. Showing the scope of their reach, the 1994 If I Were a Carpenter tribute album showcased entries from alternative-rock icons ranging from Sonic Youth (Superstar), Shonen Knife (Top of the World), The Cranberries ((They Long to Be) Close to You), Sheryl Crow (Solitaire), and Matthew Sweet (Let Me Be the One), to name but a few.

The Carpenters were nominated for numerous GRAMMY Awards throughout their storied career, and they won three of them: Best New Artist (1970), Best Contemporary Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus for (They Long to Be) Close to You (1970), and Best Pop Vocal Performance for a Duo or Group for Carpenters (1971). Two of their most cherished songs have also been inducted in the GRAMMY Hall of Fame: (They Long to Be) Close to You and We’ve Only Just Begun. Following Karen’s untimely death in 1983, the Carpenters received a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

No matter what your walk of life is, the Carpenters have a song that touches your soul and finds a place where there’s room to grow.

“The Rolling Stones – On Air” Featuring BBC Performances To Be Released December 1

0

December 1 will see the release of The Rolling Stones – On Air, a collection of rarely heard radio recordings from their formative years. The songs, including eight the band have never recorded or released commercially, were originally broadcast on bygone UK BBC shows such as Saturday Club, Top Gear, Rhythm and Blues and The Joe Loss Pop Show between 1963 and 1965.

Available as CD, double CD deluxe edition, heavy-weight vinyl and special limited-edition coloured vinyl via Polydor Records, these flashbacks offer an insight into the band as a vital and constantly surprising live unit. Such was the frequency with which they visited BBC studios in the ’60s, the group constantly set out to offer listeners something different. As well as songs that never appeared on singles or albums, there are seven tracks that were debuted over the airwaves before featuring on albums or EPs.

The group’s take on familiar R&B staples like Roll Over Beethoven, Memphis, Tennessee and Beautiful Delilah (all originated by Chuck Berry) illustrate the verve and energy the Stones regularly brought to their live shows. The BBC would urge them to perform their current singles, and while happy to do so they also relished the opportunity to showcase a fuller picture of their prowess as Britain’s foremost blues outfit, packing clubs and ballrooms night after night.

Among the 32 tracks, first heard ringing out of transistor radios over a period of just under two years, is Come On, the group’s debut single and also the first number laid down for the iconic Saturday Club, hosted by the late, legendary Brian Matthew. Come On is released as the first track from the album and is available now on digital and streaming services. Other highlights include the strutting Fannie Mae (originally recorded by bluesman Buster Brown in 1959), Tommy Tucker’s Hi Heel Sneakers, and Bo Diddley’s Cops And Robbers.

Nestling among the illustrious and well-chosen cover versions, are raw and vibrant renditions of Stones Jagger/Richards originals, such as (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, The Last Time and The Spider And The Fly in a form closer to the thrilling immediacy of the band’s live shows than on vinyl. These recordings bring the listener as near as possible to the excitement of the era without actually being there in person.

If last year’s collection of new recordings of past masters Blue & Lonesome presented the Stones returning to their roots after more than 50 years, On Air is the perfect “sister” compendium, a lovingly curated and restored treasure trove that puts the listener front and centre in the eye of the original storm.

To help recapture the spirit of the songs when they were first performed, the tapes have gone through a process called ‘audio source separation,’ which involved de-mixing the transcripts and allowing engineers at Abbey Road access to the original instrumentation and voices within each track, so that they could be rebuilt, rebalanced and remixed to achieve a fuller, more substantial sound. The end result is the Stones at their most passionate and intense, transporting listeners back to the band’s lean and hungry years when their standing as household names was already assured, and global domination was just 12 bars away.

The variety of radio shows from which the material is compiled is testament to the special relationship the Stones had with the BBC from the very beginning of their recording career. The music speaks for itself, but On Air also serves as an important historical artefact, and an essential of the group’s impressively evergreen canon.

The Rolling Stones – On Air offer a unique insight into the formative days of The Rolling Stones a few years before ‘The Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in the World’ became a reality this was a band playing the music they loved so much – Blues, R&B, Soul and even the odd country song. Performing these songs night after night in clubs and dancehalls meant they are all honed to perfection and performed with the genuine love and affection that The Stones have for their musical heritage.

This album follows the recent release of The Rolling Stones – On Air coffee table book, by Richard Havers and published by Virgin Books.

The Box In Black: Johnny Cash’s Beloved Unearthed Collection Returns As 9-LP Vinyl Box Set On November 3

0

In the last decade of a career that spanned half a century, Johnny Cash capped off his musical legend with a breathtaking final act, recording a series of raw, stripped-down albums with producer Rick Rubin. Those albums reestablished Cash as a vital artist, while adding a remarkable closing chapter to his incredible body of work. To celebrate the Man in Black’s enduring and influential legacy, this monolithic collection has been reconfigured for its first-ever vinyl release. Unearthed is available for pre-order now and out globally on November 3 via American Recordings.

The newly designed set expands on the original box’s distinctive packaging for the long-playing format. Spreading Unearthed’s 79 songs over nine high-quality 180-gram vinyl LPs, the box set also features a pair of cloth-bound books housed in an LP-sized black slipcase. One book holds the nine LPs, while the other is a gorgeous 60-page coffee table book that incorporates Sylvie Simmons’ extensive liner notes, drawn from five days of interviews at Cash’s home in Tennessee. In addition, the book captures Cash and Rubin’s comments on every song on the set, plus a copious selection of photographs from the recording sessions, including some of the last photos ever taken of Cash.

Initially released in November 2003, two months after Cash’s passing, Unearthed arrived as an expansive box set of material, most of it previously unreleased, recorded during the artist’s graceful twilight years. The set was originally planned to celebrate Cash and Rubin’s decade of recording together, and the final mixes had been sent to Cash, but he passed away before receiving them. The recordings, which run the stylistic gamut from stark balladry to punchy rockabilly to heartfelt gospel to classic covers, offer a stunning encapsulation of Cash’s wide-ranging musical vision, and provide a fitting epitaph for his iconic career.

Unearthed is divided into five thematic sections. Who’s Gonna Cry focuses on acoustic solo recordings, and finds Cash revisiting several classic songs from his legendary catalogue. Trouble In Mind is oriented towards electric performances, and includes guest appearances by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Carl Perkins and members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as Cash’s wife and longtime duet partner June Carter Cash. Redemption Songs is largely acoustic, and features duets with Joe Strummer, Fiona Apple, Nick Cave and Glen Campbell. My Mother’s Hymn Book demonstrates Cash’s lifelong affinity for gospel music, encompassing 15 time-honoured gospel standards. Best of Cash On American offers a memorable 15-song selection of highlights from Cash’s first four albums with Rubin.

In its original CD format, Unearthed was acclaimed as an instant classic. Rolling Stone named it as one of the “100 Best Albums of the 2000s” and declared the set “a slice of American culture as monumental, and as enduring, as Mt. Rushmore.”

Indeed, in the years since Cash’s passing, the artist’s legend has grown and his music has gained in power. It’s hard to think of a more appropriate and impressive sendoff for this one-of-a-kind American original than the massive musical statement that is Unearthed.

Whitney Houston – I Wish You Love: More From The Bodyguard will be available on CD and digital configurations as well as a limited edition 2LP 12″ purple vinyl edition (to be released at a later date.)

Some highlights from the album include an alternate mix of “I Will Always Love You,” which features a spoken word intro of Whitney as Rachel Marron, an A Capella version of “Jesus Loves Me,” which has never been heard before and a live recording from The Bodyguard World Tour 1993-1995 of “Run To You,” which Whitney rarely performed. Also included are film and live versions of “I Will Always Love” You,” “I Have Nothing,” “Queen of The Night” and more.

Originally released on November 17, 1992, The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album–co-executive produced by Whitney Houston and Clive Davis–was the first album verified by SoundScan to sell more than one million copies in a single week, won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide (and is certified 17x Platinum in the US by the RIAA) and is the top-selling soundtrack album of all-time. “The Bodyguard” marked Whitney’s debut as a movie star while the soundtrack–driven in part by Whitney’s monumental interpretation of “I Will Always Love You”–became of one of the best-selling albums of any genre in history.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard with the addition of previously released special features for select digital retailers on 10/31. The film marked the acting debut of multi-Grammy award winning singer/actress Whitney Houston (The Preacher’s Wife, Waiting to Exhale, Cinderella) Whitney Houston and also stars Academy Award® winner Kevin Costner (Dances With Wolves, Field of Dreams, Tin Cup, JFK). Written by Lawrence Kasdan (The Big Chill, Silverado, The Accidental Tourist, The Empire Strikes Back), and directed by Mick Jackson (L.A. Story, Volcano) The Bodyguard stars Costner as a former Secret Service Agent-turned-bodyguard who is hired to protect Houston’s character, a music star, from an unknown stalker. The bodyguard ruffles the singer’s feathers and most of her entourage by tightening security more than they feel is necessary. Eventually the bodyguard and the singer start an affair, and she begins to believe his precautions are necessary when the stalker strikes close to home. The film is also available on Blu-ray and DVD.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is celebrating 25 years of the critically-acclaimed film “The Bodyguard” with an invite only listening party/movie screening on Saturday November 4, 2017, as well as announcing special activations throughout the resort in honor of the 25th anniversary. Fontainebleau served as a backdrop for much of the film where Houston, as Rachel, performed live on camera two of the film’s hit songs in the resort’s Fontaine Ballroom. The first, “I Have Nothing,” is one of two Oscar nominated songs from the movie and the other, “I Will Always Love You” is one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Bob Dylan’s “Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981” Released November 3

0

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Bob Dylan – Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 on Friday, November 3.

The latest chapter in Columbia/Legacy’s highly acclaimed Bob Dylan Bootleg Series showcases the music Dylan wrote and performed during one of the most surprising, controversial and inspired periods of his career.

As the 1970s ended and the 1980s began, Dylan responded to the changing of the decades with a three album trilogy–Slow Train Coming (1979), Saved (1980) and Shot of Love (1981)–of spirit-filled songs of praise, worship and devotion. These songs were as deeply personal and packed with poetics as any Dylan had ever written, but the force of conviction and power of faith evident in these performances baffled segments of Dylan’s fanbase (just as Dylan’s “going electric” had alienated folk purists in 1965).

The previous two volumes in Columbia/Legacy’s Bob Dylan Bootleg Series each took home the Best Historical Album Grammy Award for its respective eligibility year: Bob Dylan – The Cutting Edge 1965-1966, The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 in 2017 and Bob Dylan – The Basement Tapes Complete, The Bootleg Series Vol. 11 in 2016.

The live concerts from this crucial epoch in Dylan’s history contain some of the most intensely jubilant and transcendent performances of his career. Bob Dylan – Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 offers fans and music lovers the opportunity to fully experience for the first time this extraordinary chapter in Bob Dylan’s musical journey.

The deluxe box set includes a hardcover book featuring an introduction by Dylan scholar Ben Rollins with liner notes by Amanda Petrusich, Rob Bowman and Penn Jillette.

Available exclusively on the deluxe box set is a DVD which includes “Trouble No More: A Musical Film,” a new feature-length cinematic presentation combining unreleased footage from Dylan’s 1980 tours with new material written by Luc Sante and performed by Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon. Directed by Jennifer Lebeau, “Trouble No More” has been selected to premiere at the prestigious 2017 New York Film Festival. Bonus extras on the box set’s exclusive DVD include a rare performance of “Shot of Love” from Avignon 1981 and more.

Bob Dylan – Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 will also be available in 2CD and 4LPS configurations featuring the first two discs from the deluxe box.

With the exception of “Ye Shall Be Changed,” released in 1991 on The Bootleg Series, Vol. 1-3), none of the tracks on Trouble No More have been previously released. This collection debuts 14 previously unreleased songs and a multitude of unreleased live performances, rare studio outtakes and more.

Roy Orbison With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Album Out November 3

0

It has been revealed that, within the last few weeks, “Pretty Paper” has been recorded as a last-minute addition for A Love So Beautiful: Roy Orbison With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The album’s release had been previously announced before the session that yielded the addition of “Pretty Paper.” Utilizing Roy’s original 1963 vocal track, the Royal Philharmonic laid down instrumentation for the holiday standard written by Willie Nelson. It joins 15 other Orbison classics tracks that comprise the album. Due out November 3, A Love So Beautiful is to be released through Sony Music’s Legacy Recordings in partnership with Roy’s Boys LLC, the Nashville-based company founded by the late icon’s sons to administer their father’s catalog and safeguard his legacy. Available on CD, vinyl LP and digital formats, this brand-new album infuses Orbison’s best original vocal performances, consisting of hits and fan favorites such as “Oh, Pretty Woman,” “Crying” and “Only the Lonely,” with the emotion and world class musicianship of the Royal Philharmonic, London’s most notable orchestra. Roy’s sons Wesley (guitar), Roy Jr. (guitar) and Alex (drums) provided instrumental backing on selected tracks, along with ten-month-old grandson Roy III (guitar, tambourine).

When made aware of the new recording of his “Pretty Paper,” Willie Nelson commented, “Back in 1963, right after I wrote it, I brought the song to Fred Foster the head of Monument Records, the label I was with at the time. He really liked it and said ‘It’s perfect for Roy Orbison.’ I was more than ok with that idea since I had wanted my tunes to be covered by big stars and Roy was certainly that. Fred told me he was going to play the song over the phone for Roy who was in London at the time and that’s exactly what happened. I was glad that he liked ‘Pretty Paper’ enough to record it over there. It’s kind of amazing that the same song by the same great artist, recorded again in London 54 years later, is now having a second life.”

Nelson was inspired to write “Pretty Paper,” when he remembered seeing a man with no legs selling paper and pencils in front of Leonard’s Department Store in Fort Worth. The man, later identified by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as Frankie Brierton of Santo, TX, was hawking his offerings to passersby, calling out “Pretty paper!,” referring to holiday wrapping paper. Like all the orchestral backing for the current project, Orbison’s original vocal, as noted by Willie, was recorded in London. Ever the trouper, Orbison, suffering from a 102 degree fever at the time, entered Pye Studios there and put down the vocal track for the original record that would be released in November of 1963, a mere month after Nelson had written the song. It became a holiday classic and reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Nelson recorded his own version the following year.

Another addition to A Love So Beautiful: Roy Orbison with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is an alternate version of “I Drove All Night” that features a virtual collaboration between Roy and British modern country duo Ward Thomas. Consisting of 23-year old twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas, the duo has been dubbed “Britain’s first country stars,” and their 2016 sophomore album Cartwheels became a UK #1 hit. Their vocal performance enriches the song that was originally recorded by Orbison in 1987 and covered by Cyndi Lauper in 1989.

A Love So Beautiful was produced by Don Reedman and Nick Patrick, who were also at the helm for the hugely successful albums If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and The Wonder of You: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestral component was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, Studio 2, in London (a mere 1.5 miles from where Roy’s “Pretty Paper” vocal track was first recorded), while Roy’s sons recorded their parts in Nashville at Black River Studios, which was previously owned by their father.

Also out this fall (release date: October 17; Center Street/Hachette) is the first ever estate-sanctioned Roy Orbison book, The Authorized Roy Orbison. Filled with over 300 photographs, many never before seen, gathered from across the globe and uncovered from deep within the Orbison Vault, The Authorized Roy Orbison shows Roy as a young child and follows him all the way through to the peak of his stardom and up to his tragic end. Written by Wesley, Roy Jr. and Alex Orbison – Roy’s Boys – with the help of Jeff Slate, no stone has been left unturned in order to illustrate the people, places, things and events that forged their father, the man behind those famous sunglasses.

The album will be highlighted as part of An Evening of Orbison at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on October 17, where Roy’s three sons Alex, Wesley and Roy Jr. will be discussing the making of A Love So Beautiful as well as The Authorized Roy Orbison.

Universal Music Group Launches Accelerator Engagement Network

0

Universal Music Group (UMG) announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind accelerator engagement network by a major music entertainment company aimed at promoting the development of innovative music-based start-ups around the world.

To support the key contributions that accelerator programs provide to the global start-up ecosystem, UMG will work closely with key entrepreneurial programs based in countries around the world to assist in the evaluation and development of music-based start-ups. UMG will contribute music industry expertise during the application process and mentor accepted digital music companies, while accelerators will guide these new companies in developing, launching and raising funding for innovative new products.

UMG anticipates working with as many as ten programs in the first year of launching the accelerator network. The first accelerators to join the network include Axel Springer’s Plug and Play, a media-focused accelerator based in Berlin; LeanSquare, a music technology accelerator launched by the Liege, Belgium-based investment firm; and NYC MediaLab, which runs programs for student and faculty entrepreneurs at New York-area universities who are interested in launching digital media start-ups.

In making the announcement, Michael Nash, UMG’s Executive Vice President of Digital Strategy, said, “UMG is launching the Accelerator Network to build on the company’s stellar track-record of supporting entrepreneurs around the world and licensing more than 400 digital services globally. By developing a robust network of accelerators, UMG will play a more central role in helping to support the next generation of entrepreneurs who are already hard at work to bring innovative ideas to market that will create exciting new experiences for artists and fans everywhere.”

Tuhin Roy, UMG’s Vice President of New Digital Business, said, “UMG has the potential to serve as a strategic bridge between the creative minds working in the epicenter of the entertainment industry and the immensely innovative start-up communities in entrepreneurial centers around the world. From this vantage point, UMG is uniquely positioned to help foster the next wave of innovative digital music start-ups, while also learning from these amazing entrepreneurs about new ways to apply digital technologies in our own businesses to benefit artists and labels.”

Axel Springer Plug and Play
Launched in 2013, the Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator is an early-stage startup accelerator based in Berlin. It is a joint venture between Axel Springer SE and the Plug and Play Tech Center from Silicon Valley. Three times a year, Axel Springer Plug and Play runs a 100-day program to provide startups with coaching, workshops, networking, 25,000 eurosin funding and office space. The program ends with a Demo Day, where startups pitch in front of an elite audience of local and international venture capital firms for additional seed and Series A funding. Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator takes a 5 percent stake in the companies in return for its support.

Joerg Rheinboldt, Managing Director ASPnP, said, “With our partner The Venue Berlin, there already exists a hub for artists, entrepreneurs and makers from the music industry in our local ecosystem. We are delighted to build on that with our relationship with UMG, which will enable us to better accelerate digital music-related startups.”

LeanSquare
LeanSquare is a Belgian-based VC investing in start-ups that present real growth potential. The company offers the best tools for start-ups to bring them to a mature stage and help them set up the best investment proposal. LeanSquare also hosts and organizes each year different thematic acceleration programs on MusicTech, e-Health, and e-Logistics, among others.

José Zurstrassen, LeanSquare’s chairman, said, “We are more than happy to join UMG’s Accelerator Network as a strategic player. Indeed, in our different programs, we want our startups to meet the best industry experts and VCs to enable them to validate their hypothesis, to find new customers or partners, to go quickly internationally and to raise funds. Building bridges between key industry actors and the creative ecosystem is key for us, and we are looking forward to this collaboration.”

NYC MediaLab
Now in its seventh year, NYC Media Lab is a public-private partnership seeded by the New York City Economic Development Corporation and a consortium of participating universities including ColumbiaNYUThe New School, CUNY, IESE, and the School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute. By building engagements between institutions of higher education and the digital media and communications industry, NYC Media Lab fosters innovation, talent development and ultimately job growth and wealth creation in New York City.

“We’re excited to connect Universal Music Group to entrepreneurs across New York City’s universities that want to advance concepts at the intersection of emerging media technology and music,” said Justin Hendrix, Executive Director, NYC Media Lab. “Mentors from UMG will no doubt help to refine fresh ideas from the campuses, and we look forward to seeing the result.”

No Doubt Celebrates 25th Anniversary Of Self-Titled Debut Album With Special Vinyl Reissue

0

No Doubt’s eponymous 1992 debut album  introduced the world to a one-of-a-kind band that would soon dominate the music world with their dynamic sound. With such early hits as “Trapped In A Box” exemplifying the group’s original ska-pop sound, No Doubt kicked off the band’s career with a bang, laying the groundwork for the multi-platinum success that they’d achieve over the next twenty-plus years.

On November 10, UMe celebrates the 25th anniversary of No Doubt’s original release with a sparkling new vinyl edition of the album that originally put No Doubt on the map. In addition to marking the debut disc’s first-ever vinyl release, the new LP will be pressed on high-quality 180-gram vinyl.  Additionally, exclusive limited-edition colored-vinyl versions will be available through No Doubt’s official website, as well as the online retail sites uDiscover and The Sound of Vinyl. In addition to the album’s original front cover art, the back cover of the new vinyl edition features a never-before-seen band photo from the original photo session by photographer Chris Cuffaro.

No Doubt — Gwen Stefani on vocals, her brother Eric Stefani on keyboards, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young — originally became a local sensation on their Southern California home turf, before bursting onto the national and international scenes with an effervescent, new-wave infused sound that offered an upbeat alternative to the angst-driven grunge-rock that dominated the charts at the time.  No Doubt’s early ska leanings are balanced on the album by a state-of-the-art pop sensibility that manifests itself on such tunes as “Let’s Get Back,” “Move On” and “Get On The Ball.”  Although the debut album was not a major hit at the time of its original release, it emerged as a fan favorite as No Doubt subsequently became one of their era’s most popular bands.

After releasing No Doubt, the band would score a series of smash singles and massively popular  albums like Tragic Kingdom, Return of Saturn, Rock Steady and Push and Shove, helping  to  secure Gwen, Tony, Tom and Adrian their place in the American rock music pantheon. The   band’s massive success can be traced back to No Doubt, whose definitive new vinyl edition cements its pivotal place in pop history.
