International music agency MassiveMusic has teamed up with War Child, In Case of Fire, Sony and Universal to create a timely and powerful new film that highlights the plight of young refugees.

A young refugee boy strikes up an unlikely friendship with Batman in this charming film that also packs a pertinent punch. Set to Queen’s feel-good track, ‘You’re My Best Friend’, it follows the inseparable duo as they transform the refugee camp into their playground – playing football, arm-wrestling, and hide-and-seek. The heart-warming mood takes a surprising twist as the masked crusader is revealed to have been the boy’s father all along, and a result of the fantasy world constructed by the child as a coping mechanism to escape the grim reality of his life.

On March 20, 1990, Nirvana helped themselves late at night at Evergreen State College campus and walked right into their TV studio and recorded some footage. This was a few months before their debut a;bum, Bleach, came out, such the mood of the band at the time. The production is a step above, but not much, of those late-night, low-budget cable shows, please don’t try this at your local university. And if you do, don’t mention this blog.

The Full 24-Minute Documentary of The Making Of R.E.M.’s “Automatic For The People”

Widely considered to be one of the best albums of the 90s, 1992’s Automatic For The People features R.E.M.’s iconic hit singles “Nightswimming,” “Man on the Moon” and “Everybody Hurts.”

Commemorating the album’s 25th Anniversary, this remastered Deluxe edition boxset features previously unreleased material, including 20 never-before-heard demos, and the previously unreleased tracks “Mike’s Pop Song” and “Devil Rides Backwards.” A Blu-ray disc offers the full album (with bonus track “Photograph” featuring Natalie Merchant) mixed in Dolby Atmos, plus a high-resolution master of the album, music videos, and the original 1992 EPK. Also included is Live At The 40 Watt Club 11/19/92 – a live set performed in R.E.M.’s hometown of Athens, GA.

Housed in a 12” x 12” box, the Deluxe edition features a 60-page book, offering photos by Anton Corbijn and Melodie McDaniel, plus expanded liner notes by Tom Doyle who conducted new interviews with all 4 band members.
