Produced by George Martin and engineered by Geoff Emerick, there used to be some confusion to who is actually singing here but as told by Emerick in his book Here There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of The Beatles: “Paul’s vocal was being dropped into the same track that contained John’s lead vocal and there was a very tight drop-out point between the two- between Paul’s ‘went into a dream’ and John’s ‘ahhhh’ that starts the next section.”

You all remember Mr. Potato Head, right? You likely decorated it with a variety of plastic parts like ears, eyes, shoes, a hat, a nose, and a mouth that attached to the main body.
But he’s recently been given a very drastic makeover, like it was designed by Picasso or Dali.
Meet Wonky Mr. Potato Head, created from a partnership between Hasbro and UK grocer ASDA to get people to appreciate imperfect vegetables.
Why?
Because every year 6 billion pounds of produce in the U.S. is unharvested or unsold because of cosmetic reasons.
It looks a bit different, but is perfectly fine and has the same taste. “Food waste for a long time didn’t get the airtime it deserves, so we welcome celebrity allies like Mr. Potato Head,” Ben Simon, a rep for the company, said. “I hope he can make people smile and realize how silly these cosmetic standards for produce really are.”

Spirit of the West’s John Mann and his documentary Spirit Unforgettable is now airing on HBO Canada
This Canada Day, viewers might need to stay “home for a rest” for the documentary Spirit Unforgettable. Commissioned by Bell Media and a favourite at this year’s Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, the 90-minute film shares the deeply personal story of John Mann, frontman for famed Canadian band Spirit of the West, and his struggle with early-onset Alzheimers.
At 52, Mann is confronted with the reality that he’s losing grasp of the poetic and political lyrics he has shared with millions, since the band formed in 1983. With the support of his wife, Mann and his lifelong bandmates decide to give their fans a goodbye, hoping Mann will be able to make what could be his final performance at Massey Hall. Including archival material and interviews with bandmates, musicians, and doctors, Spirit Unforgettable is an emotional tribute to an incredible artist making the most of every moment as he fights with dignity against a crippling disease.
Spirit Unforgettable premiered at the Hot Doc’s film festival this past spring to rave reviews, and placed in the top 5 films for Hot Docs’ Audience Award. The Globe and Mail called the film, “…smart and sensitive – without being sappy,” and Now magazine declared that “the joy just flows”, giving it 4/5 stars.
