SORRYNOTSORRY Release Intimate New Single “Disappear” Ahead Of Upcoming Album ‘The Other Side’

0

Psychedelic rock duo SORRYNOTSORRY returns with “Disappear,” an ambient track with cathartic lyrics that get to the core of loss, tumultuous passion, and heartbreak.

The single, which is the final track off their upcoming album The Other Side, out on October 17, will be followed by an official music video featuring a performance by dancer Camilia Araque, directed by Samantha Dagnino. “Disappear” is out now on all digital platforms worldwide.

With hypnotic vocals, fuzzy and ethereal arrangements, and stripped-down production, “Disappear” stands as SORRYNOTSORRY’s most intimate track to date. Written and produced by the duo, the single was mixed by Andres Cottin and mastered by Zach Kornhauser (Portugal. The Man, Sia, Kelly Clarkson). “If you pay close attention, you can hear the emotion in my voice. I didn’t replace the vocals in the studio even though I was sobbing while recording this song,” says vocalist Samantha Dagnino. “I was singing from a broken heart. There’s something about capturing a moment like that, where you are alone in your room with a guitar expressing a deep feeling, you can’t replace or replicate that in a studio or on a computer.” Leaning into themes of yearning and heartache, the track unravels the complicated weight of loss through soul-baring lyrics that feel like free-falling. The production enhances this vulnerability, with Cottin’s guitar work stretching between melancholy and lift, creating a wistful atmosphere before climaxing into a storm of epic, roaring guitars that bring the song to a cathartic close. “Samantha suggested that I record a couple of guitar takes to give the song an arc,” explains Cottin. “My idea was to introduce elements from ambient guitar and make the song feel like it’s growing and add some shimmer.”

SORRYNOTSORRY is a Brooklyn-based psychedelic rock duo formed by Venezuelan artists Samantha Dagnino and Andres Cottin. What began as an impromptu jam session in a Long Island City recording studio quickly evolved into a lasting creative partnership, one defined by spontaneity and authenticity. After stepping away from music for eight years, Dagnino found in Cottin a collaborator who mirrored her experimental instincts and fearless approach to songwriting. Together, they craft music that is intuitive and genre-bending, blending elements of trip hop, indie rock, and electronic into soundscapes that are as vulnerable as they are boundary-pushing. Already earning praise from outlets including EARMILK, glamglare, NYS Music, The Indy Review, and Up To Hear Music, the duo’s forthcoming album, The Other Side, captures the adventurous spirit and soul at the heart of their artistry.

“Disappear” marks a bold and vulnerable milestone for SORRYNOTSORRY, distilling the duo’s signature blend of raw emotion and experimental sound into their most personal work yet. As they continue to carve out their place in the psychedelic rock landscape, The Other Side promises to further showcase their dynamic artistry and vision.

John Prine’s ‘Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings’ Celebrates 30th Anniversary With Digital Deluxe Edition

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings, the digital deluxe edition of John Prine’s beloved and GRAMMY-nominated album is out today via Oh Boy Records.

The release features five previously unreleased demos and alternate takes, along with the never-before-heard track “Hey Ah Nothin’.” The album is also available on vinyl for the first time ever, newly remastered from the original tapes.

Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings is widely cherished for its warmth, wit, and depth, and this new edition provides an even closer look at one of the most joyful and creatively fertile periods in Prine’s storied career. Stream it here.

Originally released in 1995, Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings followed Prine’s Grammy-winning album The Missing Years and further cemented his legacy as one of America’s greatest songwriters. Produced by Howie Epstein of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the album captured Prine at a personal and artistic high, filled with the joy of new love, fatherhood, and unshakable creative chemistry.

Backed by an all-star ensemble including Heartbreakers pianist Benmont Tench and guest vocals from Carlene Carter and Marianne Faithfull, Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings is a vibrant showcase of Prine’s unmatched lyrical gifts. The album flows effortlessly from the wry contentment of “Ain’t Hurtin’ Nobody” to the epic storytelling of “Lake Marie,” a song Bob Dylan once cited as one of his favorites.

With its blend of heartfelt ballads, surreal narratives, and playful humor, Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings remains one of Prine’s most expansive and beloved works. At 14 tracks and nearly an hour in length, it captures the richness of the midlife experience, honest, relaxed, and fully alive. Thirty years on, this release offers a fresh invitation to revisit an album that continues to comfort, surprise, and inspire.

Additionally, the Prine family will host the fourth annual You Got Gold: Celebrating the Songs of John Prine in Nashville from October 9-12, 2025. Dave Stewart, Daryl Hall, And Vanessa Amorosi Release Peace Anthem “Peace One Day” With Peter Frampton And London Community Gospel Choir

0

Legendary songwriter, musician, producer, innovator and co-founder of the globally celebrated duo Eurythmics, Dave Stewart and songwriter, producer, guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist Daryl Hall are proud to announce that this year’s annual Peace One Day Celebration digital broadcast will be marked by the world premiere performance of the anthem, “Peace One Day” — in support of non-profit organization Peace One Day. The song will be released exclusively through the Stewart-backed platform SongBits on Friday, September 19.

SongBits, the platform co-founded by Dave Stewart, alongside entrepreneur Russell Sheffield, leverages cutting-edge blockchain technology, and gives fans the opportunity to own a “bit” of their favorite songs and share in the royalties. In the case of “Peace One Day” all the proceeds will go to the nonprofit organization Peace One Day.

The anthemic, poignant guitar-and-piano-led duet is co-written, produced, and performed by Stewart and Hall, and features Australian powerhouse singer Vanessa Amorosi — Dave Stewart’s Eurythmics vocalist — along with guitarist Peter Frampton and the London Community Gospel Choir. The song embodies unity, hope, and humanity’s collective yearning for peace. Stewart and Hall, long-time musical pioneers and collaborators as well as Peace One Day Ambassadors, have joined forces on this historic track and will appear at the Peace One Day virtual concert on September 21 where they will debut the anthem live during this global broadcast on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM BST at peaceoneday.org.

Peace Day 2025 will be marked by this historic digital broadcast celebration, and will feature several performances and speeches from the likes of Dave Stewart Eurythmics feat. Vanessa Amorosi, Daryl Hall, Emeli Sande, Basement Jaxx, Sir Richard Branson, Jude Law, Dr Bernice King (daughter of Martin Luther King) and founder Jeremy Gilley MBE. The Peace One Day initiative is also supported by the anti-gun-violence organization Artists For Action, whose members include Billie Eilish, Sheryl Crow, Patti Smith, and Nile Rodgers, as well as Stewart and Hall.

Peace One Day Ambassador Dave Stewart shares: “This global stream is a powerful act of unity. At a time of unprecedented global suffering, we must come together — beyond borders, beyond politics, beyond creed — to take a stand for peace. I’m honoured to be part of it. I’m honoured to share this message with Daryl and with millions around the world.”

The release of “Peace One Day” comes at a critical moment. In 2025, more wars are raging than at any time since the Second World War, with over two billion people living in conflict zones. The song will serve as the unifying soundtrack of Peace Day, a day unanimously adopted by the United Nations in 2001 as a global annual day of ceasefire and non-violence.

Since its founding in 1999 by filmmaker Jeremy Gilley MBE, Peace One Day has worked tirelessly to institutionalize and promote September 21 as a day of ceasefire and non-violence, unanimously adopted by the United Nations in 2001. Through major broadcast events, campaigns, and partnerships across education, sport, climate, and business, Peace One Day has inspired millions to participate and helped generate measurable reductions in violence on this date.

The Peace One Day Celebration 2025 digital broadcast is a timely and urgent rallying cry — connecting humanity beyond borders, beyond politics, beyond creed — to inspire awareness and action on the UN International Day of Peace.

Hosted by Laura Whitmore and Jeremy Gilley MBE, the livestream will feature world-class performances and powerful contributions from peacebuilders, activists, and changemakers. Alongside the debut of the “Peace One Day” anthem, the musical line-up includes:

Vince Gill Releases Extended Version Of “Go Rest High On That Mountain” For 30th Anniversary

0

Vince Gill’s iconic and beloved song “Go Rest High On That Mountain” celebrates its 30th anniversary with an extended version that includes a new verse. The now RIAA-certified double-platinum single is one of the most significant and enduring songs in country music, having resonated with listeners around the world over the last three decades. In 1996, the song was awarded two Grammys for Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song, a CMA Award for Song of the Year, and in 1997, received BMI’s Most Performed Song award.

Gill was inspired to write the song following the death of his friend, country singer and at-the-time labelmate Keith Whitley, but it was the death of Gill’s brother Bob in 1993 that compelled him to complete it. However, in 2019, during one of his Christmas at the Ryman performances with wife Amy Grant, Gill performed the song but included a new verse.

“The last thirty years I’ve always felt like something was missing from this song,” Gill explained recently. “With this new third verse, I finally feel like the song is complete.”

In updating the recording, Gill used all the original tracks, adding only his vocals for the new verse that reads, “You’re safely home in the arms of Jesus / Eternal life my brother’s found / The day will come I know I’ll see him / In that sacred place, on that holy ground.”

On Sunday night (Sept 14th), Gill will be joined by Lainey Wilson to perform “Go Rest High On That Mountain” on the 77th Emmy Awards on CBS as part of the In Memoriam segment. A live version of the song will appear on the upcoming Opry 100: Country’s Greatest Songs album, recorded live on The Grand Ole Opry on March 14, 2015.

Gill has just wrapped up his most recent tour, which culminated in five sold-out nights at the historic Ryman Auditorium. His over three-hour, no intermission performances packed houses with his stellar musicianship, humor, storytelling, a talented band line-up, and the reveal of new music. He now rejoins the Eagles as they return to the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Canadian country artist Julia Vos is excited to share the official music video for her current single, “I Only Kiss Cowboys,” which is available now on YouTube. Written by Julia Vos and Troy Kemp and produced by JUNO Award winner Bart McKay, “I Only Kiss Cowboys” is a high-energy, honky-tonk anthem with a playful, boot-stompin’ groove.

The new music video was produced and directed by Chris Doi and features the Edmonton, Alberta-based artist enthusiastically line-dancing and two-stepping along as she witnesses the transformation of a “suit man” into her ideal cowboy suitor.

The music video arrives after a warm reception for “I Only Kiss Cowboys,” which has included Spotify placements on the “All New Country“ and “Fresh Finds Canada” editorial playlists, regular spins on SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, and an ambitious social media reel series coined “Reasons I Love Cowboys,” which earned 2 million Instagram views throughout July and August.

Bernie Leadon Releases New Song “Go On Down To Mobile” And Prepares Album ‘Too Late To Be Cool’

0

Bernie Leadon released his new song “Go On Down To Mobile” today ahead of his highly anticipated solo project, Too Late To Be Cool. “Go On Down To Mobile” is a tune about a man’s complicated love with a girl from Alabama.

“‘Go On Down to Mobile’ is about a clueless guy having a long-distance relationship. She’s down in Mobile, and he’s a ways away. He’s in denial about what she is really like. Something’s going on, and we generally know what it is. He pretends he doesn’t. He has an awakening in his near future. Late in the song the singer admits he’s talking about himself. ‘I’m addicted to you, my dear, wish you’d get out of my head.’ But not yet,” said Leadon.

Leadon wrote all of the songs on the project, with the full album being produced/engineered by 2025 GRAMMY Trustee winner, Glyn Johns. Leaning into his playful personality, Leadon shares his perspective on life’s journey and how he gracefully moves through the chaos.

Leadon is performing at City Winery Nashville this evening as a headliner of Nashville’s AMERICANAFEST. This marks his return to the stage, after a decades long hiatus from the spotlight. Since the announcement of his October 10 album, he is entering a new era of his esteemed music career.

Receiving praise from major media outlets including Rolling Stone, Variety and Parade, Leadon is ready to rock once again. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member teases additional live shows to come, planning to tour next year performing hits from his catalog, Eagles’ favorites, and the new album.
