Ax and the Hatchetmen Announce ‘So Much To Tell You’ Tour With 28 Headlining Dates

0

Today, Chicago indie-rockers Ax and the Hatchetmen announce the So Much To Tell You Tour a 28-date headlining run bringing their recent acclaimed EP Constant Change to life. The band will be joined by Edgehill, Kids That Fly, Foxtide, Good Boy Daisy and John-Robert. Tickets will go on sale Friday, August 15th at 10AM local time. There will also be an artist presale starting today, August 12th, at 10AM local time, a Spotify/Venue presale starting Wednesday, August 13th at 12PM local time, and a local presale starting Thursday, August 15th at 10AM local time.

Sharing his excitement for the tour, lead singer Axel Ellis shares, “Just wrapped up a damn good time on tour with Fitz and the Tantrums, but there’s still some gas left in the van. If we missed you this summer we’ve got good news… we’re hitting the road again in the fall for our headlining ‘So Much To Tell You’ Tour. Very excited to bring out lots of friends as well- Edgehill, Kids That Fly, Foxtide, Good Boy Daisy and John-Robert will be joining us along the way. Endlessly grateful for your support, can’t wait to get back out there. See you soon.”

Constant Change was brought to life in part by storied producer Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco, Weezer, Avril Lavigne), who not only connected the group with their hero Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes for the explosive lead single “Blurry Lights,” but also helped source a long-lost Cuomo demo for the backbone of “7×9.” The sunny, carefree love song is pure fun, incorporating Beach Boy-style harmonies, oohs that seem to nod to Weezer’s Blue Album era, and the band’s signature brightly driving sound.

Fans have also previously heard “Hotel Room,” an infectious mix of jangling guitars, upbeat drums, and glistening horns that captures the ache of long-distance romance, and the racing bliss bomb of a single “Stay // Honestly” a palpably pining tribute to unrequited love. Before the band shared the songs gathered on Constant Change, they served up 2024’s Love Songs EP, which included the single “Love Songs” and fan favorite “Where tf Did I Park My Car.”

Formed in 2018, Ax and the Hatchetmen came roaring out of Chicago with feel-great, crowd-pleasing shows, tight-knit musical camaraderie, and a wide range of influences spanning generations and genres. Led by guitarist/singer Axel Ellis, the band also features Sal Defilippis on guitar, Hunter Olshefke on bass, Nick Deputy on drums, Phil Pistone on trumpet, and Quinn Dolan on saxophone. Along with Ellis, the road-tripping sextet originally met in music school, where they were studying jazz. Though each band member has a formal music education, together Ax and the Hatchetmen have a loose, organic, rollicking vibe, channeling everyone from the Strokes to the Specials to the Rolling Stones, the Black Keys, Pink Floyd, ELO, Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Cage The Elephant, and Hippo Campus.

Over the past few years, the guys have sold out headlining tours, played the hometown festival they once looked at with stars in their eyes (Lollapalooza), blessed fans with a 2023 live album, scored a deal with Arista Records, and released a steady stream of singles including recent drops like 2024’s brightly explosive “Where tf Did I Park My Car” and the racing bliss bomb of a 2025 opener “Stay // Honestly,” also produced by Sinclair. Ellis is also launching his on-screen career this year with a featured role in the upcoming Amazon episodic series The Runarounds.

As the band gears up to unveil more music and go back out on the road they hope crowds will connect with their uplifting sound and, as Axel puts it, “aspirationally optimistic” lyrics. If you do catch them live or even in headphones, though, you can bet on one thing: as long as you’re with Ax and The Hatchetmen, all will feel right in the world.

David Archuleta Drops ‘Dulce Amor’ Ahead of Earthly Delights EP and North American Tour

0

Basking in the huge success of his worldwide hit “Crème Brulée” HERE (& the remix HEREand follow-up single, “Can I Call You” HERE, David Archuleta is ready to share more from his first collection of new music in over five years with his Earthly Delights EP due this Friday, August 15 HERE.

Today, David delivers the sweetest high yet with “Dulce Amor” the third single off of the Earthly Delights EP. A seamless fusion of English and Spanish, “Dulce Amor” is a shimmering pop track that captures the rush of falling hard and fast for someone you just want more of. Building on the playful flirtation of “Crème Brûlée” and the sultry ache of “Can I Call You,” “Dulce Amor” brings the two together—bright, irresistible energy with effortlessly, smooth vocals.

David explains, “It’s that kind of love that just makes life sweeter. It’s romantic, it’s physical, it’s emotional. It’s truly indulgent and leaves you wanting more. I wanted to capture the full flavor of that.”

With its addictive Spanish hook and dynamic vocals, “Dulce Amor” is the ultimate step in David’s evolution into the realm of earthly delights. The entire EP marks a bold, confident chapter, giving fans a ‘good sugar high’ they won’t want to come off of.

Questioning his beliefs and the indoctrination of his youth, the innately angelic David has fallen out of graces with the church and his family. Traversing through his own personal hells, he finds a connection with his inner strength in the process— and grounding in his own authentic queer identity. David now re-emerges into the realm of earthly delights. Here, he explores the pleasures and pain of terrestrial life: the sweet indulgences of connection and heartbreak, sensuality and physicality. Innocent at the core, but now balanced and rounded by newfound flirtiness and sass, boldness and humor— he’s an embodied being of the earth, here to take in the full spectrum of what life has to offer, with courage, playfulness, and a beaming inner light.

L.A. Rams QB Matthew Stafford to Host “Let’s Go!” on SiriusXM for 2025 NFL Season

0

SiriusXM announced today that Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who led the Rams to a championship in Super Bowl LVI, will join the SiriusXM show, “Let’s Go!” as a host for the 2025 NFL season.

In his first media role, Stafford will join Hall of Fame broadcaster Jim Gray for weekly discussions on the Rams and other trending topics around the league. Stafford and Gray will also be joined throughout the season by special guests from the worlds of sports, entertainment and beyond.

The fifth season of “Let’s Go!” begins Monday, September 1, ahead of the kickoff of the 2025 NFL season later that week. New episodes will debut every Monday at 6:30 pm ET/3:30 pm PT on SiriusXM NFL Radio (channel 88). After debuting on SiriusXM, the show is available on all major podcast platforms, with additional bonus content available only on the SiriusXM app.

Stafford is entering his 17th NFL season this fall, continuing a career that ranks among the best in NFL history. He was the first player selected in the 2009 NFL Draft after a decorated career at the University of Georgia and played 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions before being traded to the Rams in 2021. In his first season in Southern California, he led L.A. to victory in Super Bowl LVI. Today Stafford ranks among the top 10 quarterbacks of all-time in four major passing categories – TDs (377), yards (59,809), completions (5,174) and attempts (8,166) – and is one of only two active players on that list.

“Over the years, I have enjoyed watching & listening to “Let’s Go” on SiriusXM, and Jim is one of the true icons of sports broadcasting,” Stafford said. “To have a chance to work with him, Maxx and Peter this season was too good to pass up. Nothing is more important than winning football games, but Jim makes it so easy and fun to do this on Monday nights that I am really looking forward to it this season.”

“Matthew is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the ‘Let’s Go!’ team,” said Gray. “Since its inception, our show has featured legends Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Larry Fitzgerald. Welcoming Matthew to the lineup alongside Maxx and Peter this season is a great addition. His insight and energy will make the show a great experience for our listeners.”

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby and Hall of Fame NFL journalist Peter King also return for their second season on “Let’s Go!” and will host alongside Jim Gray each week.

Maxx Crosby is one of the leaders of the Raiders franchise and one of the league’s premiere defensive talents. He has been voted to the Pro Bowl the past four seasons and in 2022 and 2023 he led the league in tackles for loss. Crosby was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft out of Eastern Michigan University and made an immediate impact on the field. He finished second in the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year voting after ranking second among all rookies with 10 sacks that first season. Among all defensive linemen in the NFL since 2019, Maxx ranks first in tackles for loss (105), fourth in tackles (364), tied for fourth in sacks (59.5), fourth in quarterback hits (144) and fifth in quarterback pressures (346).

Crosby also remains very involved with his alma mater. He is a member of Eastern Michigan’s Ring of Honor and, this past April, was hired as the assistant general manager of the school’s football program, making him the first active NFL player to hold a college football personnel position.

Peter King has covered the NFL for more than four decades, was voted National Sportswriter of the Year by his peers three times and is one of the most influential and trusted journalists covering the sport.

The first four seasons of “Let’s Go!” have delivered listeners one-of-a-kind insights and enlightening and entertaining conversations from an extraordinary group of hosts and guests – including Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Larry Fitzgerald, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Judge, Andy Reid, Lamar Jackson, Lawrence Taylor, Snoop Dogg, Oprah Winfrey, Roger Staubach, Josh Allen, CJ Stroud, A’ja Wilson, Denzel Washington, Adam Sandler, Shaq, Peyton Manning, Kevin Durant, Joe Burrow, Deion Sanders, Charles Barkley and many others.

“Let’s Go!” is produced by Scratchy Productions and SiriusXM.

Kula Shaker Drop Fiery New Single ‘Broke As Folk’ Ahead of North American Tour

0

Prime purveyors of Psychedelia and one of the biggest bands of the ‘90s, Kula Shaker are back and stronger than ever. Featuring their classic lineup – Crispian Mills (vocals/guitar), Alonza Bevan (bass), Paul Winter Hart (drums) and fan favourite Jay Darlington (Hammond organ) – the band’s previous album, 2024’s “Natural Magick,” topped the UK indie charts, achieving their highest chart position in a quarter-of-a-century. Now Kula Shaker build on that momentum with today’s release of the brand new single “Broke As Folk” — accompanied by an epic video directed by Mills, filmed on the furthest south-western cliffs of Cornwall, England.

Howling wolves, foreboding keys and sparse gothic guitars set an ominous tone before “Broke As Folk” suddenly changes gear. What emerges from the shadows is a luminous flourish of Cadillac choruses and Doors-esque grooves, led by Darlington’s inimitable swirling Hammond and Mills’ beguiling lyrics — “Now Day is Night, and Night is Day…”

Crispian Mills: “‘Broke As Folk’ is a song for everyone who didn’t fly in for Jeff Bezos’s wedding; who isn’t part of the 1%; who’s ‘feeling the heat’, courtesy of our toxic overlords. Being ‘broke’ isn’t just about money, it’s a condition of the soul, a near-constant state of PTSD, which applies to most of us, if we’re honest. What do we do when reality itself is broken? When everything we read or hear (at least in the ‘official’ narrative) has lost all credibility. What replaces it? The song is also about the flip side, about counting one’s blessings, being grateful for the joys that money can’t buy. Like faith and family and friends, and foraging for wild mushrooms. It’s also got a really cool organ solo by Jay, which is what the world needs right now.”

“Broke As Folk” is written by Kula Shaker, produced by Alonza Bevan, and mixed by Ash Howes.

As Kula Shaker put the finishing touches to their 8th studio album (TBA) the video for “Broke As Folk” continues the theme of the “Charge of The Light Brigade” (released by the band in April) with its mystic twist on Madchester, and allusions to spiritual vampires and war mongering. This Spring, the band also made a high impact return to the live arena, with a sprawling UK tour as special guests to Ocean Colour Scene. Their new era has been supported with coverage including The Guardian, Loaded and Northern Exposure, as well as fresh airplay from Amazing Radio.

Kula Shaker emerged during the Britpop era, very much as an anomaly: their sound evoking echoes of Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and Deep Purple but with a spiritual ethos reminiscent of George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass,” an energy befitting the optimistic zeal of the mid-’90s. Their debut track “Grateful When You’re Dead/ Jerry Was There” a launched series of classic hits: the free-spirited rush of “Hey Dude” (#2), the unstoppable hooks and Indian mantra vibes of “Tattva” (#4) and “Govinda” (#7) plus their famous take on the classic “Hush” (#2).

Their debut album ‘K’ shot to #1 in the UK and achieved double-Platinum status as it simultaneously climbed charts across the world. Their second record, ‘Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts’, (produced by Bob Ezrin and Rick Rubin) also hit the Top 10 and delivered more hits in the shape of ‘Shower your Love’ and Sound of Drums’. They resurfaced sporadically between 2007-2016, during which time Mills wrote and directed two feature films, until they began a new era of creativity with ‘1st Congregational Church of Eternal Love and Free Hugs’ in 2022, followed soon after by ‘Natural Magick’ in 2024 which was supported with coverage including NME, The Line of Best Fit and Louder.

Kula Shaker have a final pair of UK festival dates on the calendar before they head to North America in September. That tour starts with a run of headline shows before they perform as special guests to The Dandy Warhols.

Belong Center Joins Above & Beyond’s North American Tour to Turn Concerts Into Connection Hubs

0
As loneliness reaches epidemic levels worldwide, Belong Center is stepping into the spotlight with a powerful new partnership: joining the North American tour of internationally renowned electronic music trio Above & Beyond to bring real-world connection to tens of thousands of fans.

At the heart of the collaboration is a significant charitable initiative: $1 from every ticket sold on Above & Beyond’s Bigger Than All of Us tour will be donated to three nonprofit organizations — with one-third directly supporting Belong Center and its mission to end loneliness and build a culture of belonging. This partnership brings Belong Center’s work into the heart of live music culture, turning concerts into moments of presence, purpose, and community.

Beginning next month, Belong Center will activate five major tour stopsQueens, NY (Sept 5), Boston (Sept 6), Atlanta (Sept 13), Austin (Sept 19), and Denver (Sept 27) — with immersive, on-site experiences designed to spark meaningful connection. At each stop, fans will encounter the Belong Bench, a bright yellow interactive art installation wrapped with the message: “This is not a selfie-taking spot. It’s a connection spot. Take a risk. Sit. Talk. Belong.”     Fans who engage with the installation will be invited to scan a QR code to join the Belong Center movement, sign up for its upcoming Belonging Method™ community training platform, and access tools for creating community in their own lives. Pocket-sized Connection Cards will be distributed onsite – featuring playful, soulful prompts like “What’s a song that’s helped you feel less alone?” – to continue the conversation long after the show.

The partnership brings Belong Center’s mission into new territory: the heart of live music culture. Founded by Radha Agrawal, the social entrepreneur behind the early-morning sober dance movement Daybreaker, Belong Center exists to end the loneliness epidemic and help people feel re-connected – to themselves, to each other, and to the planet.

“Above & Beyond creates spaces where people feel seen, lifted, and connected – and that’s exactly what Belong Center is here to do,” said Agrawal. “We’re honored to join forces with a band whose music already brings people together, and to invite fans into a deeper experience of community while they’re already open, dancing, and alive.”     Local Belong Ambassadors will be present at each stop, helping fans engage with the bench, sign up for resources, and take their first steps into the Belong Center ecosystem. Fans who join the movement onsite will be entered into a giveaway to win a signed Above & Beyond album.

Declared a public health crisis by the U.S. Surgeon General, loneliness is now one of the most urgent issues of our time – with profound effects on mental, physical, and societal well-being. Belong Center is building a movement to meet that crisis with joy, play, and purpose.
