Hot Water Music and Bane Announce Explosive Co-Headline Tour for November 2025

Hot Water Music and Bane have just announced its co-headline tour for late 2025. Spanning the month of November, the tour will take in nine evenings across the U.S. midwest and east coast, visiting markets such as Cleveland Heights, OH on Wednesday November 5, Chicago, IL on Thursday, November 6, Richmond, VA on Sunday, November 9, Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday, November 12, Providence, RI on Friday, November 14 and more. Tickets for all shows will go on sale this Friday, August 1 at 10 a.m. local time.

Sacrifice. Loyalty. Camaraderie. These aren’t just words, they are the qualities that have defined Hot Water Music’s songs, lyrics and ideology for the past three decades. However, instead of celebrating 30 years of existence with a nostalgia lap or formulaic album, the band decided to mark this milestone with their most ambitious collection of songs to date. Correspondingly, Vows sees the band taking their pioneering punk sound to bold new heights via inventive arrangements, pop-friendly sensibilities and a new generation of musical guests that include Brendan Yates and Daniel Fang of Turnstile, Thrice, Dallas Green of City and Colour and Alexisonfire, The Interrupters, and Popeye Vogelsang of Calling Hours and melodic hardcore greats Farside. Additionally, Hot Water Music also recently released its four-song split EP with Quicksand in late 2024. Featuring classics covered by each band from Quickand’s Slip and Hot Water Music’s No Division, the EP also features the unreleased tracks “Supercollider,” Quicksand’s first new song since 2021’s Distant Populations, and “Undertow,” a new Hot Water Music song lifted from its Brian McTernan-produced Vows sessions.

Recently, Equal Vision and Bane released the 25th anniversary edition of It All Comes Down To This, the band’s celebrated debut album. Fully remixed by Brian McTernan and entirely remastered, this new, updated collection gives this hardcore classic the justice it finally deserves. After more than 20 years and a long process of tracking down the tapes, the band finally got them transferred and into the hands of McTernan in 2023. In December 2023, the band got the first rough mix and were blown away by how good it sounded. After a few more months, McTernan turned in the final mix and it literally brought tears to the band’s eyes; Steve Austin captured the songs for that time and McTernan’s talent brought it to life and made it sound the way it was always intended to be heard.

Last month, Equal Vision also issued the digital release and vinyl pressing of Boston 6:58 PM from Bane, a collection of 7″ offerings being presented as a single release for the very first time. In 2009, the band released two EPs across the world called the Cities EPs, which were all limited releases and never released digitally. After waiting over 15 years, Bane wanted to give these a proper release and have them available everywhere, including streaming services. To some, Boston 6:58 PM will give the appearance of an entirely new album since it was not widely available.

 Today, rising country artist Lanie Gardner was revealed as the latest “Highway Find” for SiriusXM’s The Highway (ch. 56). The announcement came as a surprise during her appearance on SiriusXM’s Highway Mornings with host Cody Alan, where he broke the news live on air.

Gardner joins the ranks of past “Highway Finds” like Luke Combs, Gabby Barrett, and Parker McCollum. From her viral cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” to her genre-blending debut album A Songwriter’s Diary, Gardner has quickly made a name for herself with a sound that fuses country, classic rock, and soul.

Country With a Kick: HASTING Brings Heart, Humor and ‘Truck Talk’ to the Country Music Scene

Born and raised on a farm in Clark County, Ohio, HASTING, stage name of songstress Kate Hasting, has all of the cow tippin’, tailgate sittin’, and dip dippin’ know-how you could want out of a rising Country Music Artist. “The farmer’s daughter with a twist,” she’s the kind of artist unafraid to take a simple, “low-hanging fruit” song idea and transform it into something unexpectedly rich and complex-like a bottle of wine…or in this case…box of wine. HASTING exemplifies this on her upcoming single “Truck Talk,” due out August 15th, ahead of several new songs and leading into her family’s annual Hasting Farm Fest on September 26th and 27th.

Hasting’s tongue-in-cheek while sincere writing style is catchy and relatable: “There’s always a lot of…how do I say it…’Truck Talk’ in country music. See what I did there?. I’ve heard people say, ‘country music has enough truck songs.’ I’d argue that I fell in love with country music for its truth telling and ability to fit a story into a three minute format. There’s nothing more exciting than authenticity. The songs I am releasing are from my vantage point and what I have lived…my childhood and adulthood is full of trucks. To me, there will never be too many truck songs. “Truck yeah!’ The past six years, I feel like I have lived a million lifetimes. There has been death, heartbreak, and recently, illness. Sometimes I think the new songs I am putting out are divine because they have been so hard to bring to life. That’s due to my own stubbornness, but also just the weight of the last few years. I am excited for ‘Truck Talk’ and the songs that follow to finally have their moment.”

She continues, “I recallI asking someone what the term ‘pillow talk’ meant and they said, ‘It’s when you say a lot of I love yous, make plans, or talk about the future in the moment while hooking up with someone. It just might be more intense or exaggerated because y’all are in bed together.’ I am paraphrasing, but I remember it being very close to that sentiment. I remember thinking…that is exactly what guys do while you are in their truck. I don’t really remember when I started thinking the term ‘Truck Talk’ was funnier than ‘Pillow Talk,’ but I have had this title in my brain for years. That weird pathway is how a lot of songs come to be for me…”

As HASTING shared in a 2020 interview with People Magazine, “What the accident did was give me a chance to be 100% me. For a long time, I tried to be the pretty girl in the sundress singing breakup songs, but the accident was this lightbulb moment telling me that life is too short… why try to be anything other than what you are?”

This turning point also marked the beginning of her journey in recovery, a theme HASTING embraces both candidly and with a healthy dose of humor. As she puts it, “Trash not trashed is the future of my music…” It’s a philosophy that infuses her songwriting and performances with both vulnerability and wit. Her fresh perspective has also inspired HASTING to take a more active role in her community and the music industry. She co-founded “Meet Music Row,” an initiative dedicated to fostering creative collaboration among up-and-coming artists and established names. Acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Kathleen Edwards shares two new songs today—“Little Red Ranger” and “When the Truth Comes Out”—the latest offerings from her highly anticipated new album, Billionaire, out August 22 on Dualtone Records (pre-order). Produced by Jason Isbell and Gena Johnson, the new 10-song project recalls the lyrical sharpness and unflinching candor of Edwards’ acclaimed debut Failer.

Of “When the Truth Comes Out,” Edwards shares, “I wrote this for a good friend who had a lot of people fall out of her life in a short period of time. Watching her go through it reminded me: people have short memories, they love the safety of keeping the most famous person in the room comfortable, a false narrative is more convenient than rocking the boat. The truth isn’t always popular, but in time it’s the thing that you can hold on to when other’s backs are turned.”

Additionally, of “Little Red Ranger,” she reflects, “Part love letter to the Canadian boy who moves to LA to pursue his dreams and his heart, part holding the hand of the mom and dad wondering if their kid will decide to set down roots somewhere far away. Bird in a tree if you look away, you miss the chance to see it fly away. Life unfolds before you in real time, looking back just to see you weren’t paying attention when it was happening. This song pulls at my heart more than most songs on the record, it’s my story, it’s every parent’s story, like the follow-up to Empty Threat. Matt Sucich sang on this song before we even recorded it, and his backing vocal just sits so right with mine.”

Ahead of the release, Edwards has shared three additional tracks: “Say Goodbye, Tell No One,” “Pine” and “Save Your Soul,” which is currently top 10 and rising on the Americana Radio chart and #23 and climbing on the Triple A chart.
In celebration of Billionaire, Edwards will embark on an extensive headline tour this fall including stops at New York’s Bowery Ballroom, Boston’s Brighton Music Hall, Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, Ottawa’s Bronson Centre, Minneapolis’ Fine Line, Lexington’s The Burl, St. Louis’ Off Broadway and Milwaukee’s Vivarium among others. In addition to Edwards (vocals, acoustic guitar), Isbell (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keys, synth, background vocals) and Johnson (engineer, piano, background vocals), the album includes Anna Butterss (bass), Annie Clements (bass), Chad Gamble (drums and percussion), Jen Gunderman (piano, celeste, Hammond B3 organ, Wurlizter) and Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer (background vocals).

Of the album, Edwards shares, “I decided to call the record Billionaire because the word is used in such a caustic way these days. But we should all want to be billionaires in life, to be rich in experience, friendship, purpose, and the pursuit of the things that bring us joy.”

Of working with Edwards, Johnson shares, “Kathleen is as funny as she is deep. She loves to rock, have fun and nerd out on guitar tones, which both Jason and I love to do as well. It was important to us to make sure we were featuring all the sides of her in the production of this album from tracking to final mix. She totally thrived on the energy of the full band when we were in the studio and was also open to an idea I had for the song, ‘Little Pink Door.’ That song ended up being a live one-take performance of Kathleen singing while playing acoustic guitar, accompanied by Jason on electric guitar and Jen Gunderman on piano. Both Jason and Jen were right there with her every single breath, only playing when it felt right. I remember when the take finished, Jason said he wouldn’t change a thing about it, and I couldn’t have agreed more. It’s in those moments when you know that something truly special is being made. I am so looking forward to attending a live show and experiencing both the energy and intimacy these songs and stories will bring to the audience.”

Celebrated as one of the forebears of modern alt-country and Americana music, Edwards is beloved by fans and fellow musicians, and praised by The New York Times for her, “droll, observant and unsparing tone that is all her own. In her best lines, Edwards has the conversational vernacular and emotional eloquence of a great short-story writer.”

Since debuting in 2003, Edwards has released five albums, including 2020’s Total Freedom—her first after stepping away from music for almost a decade. Alt-Funk Journeyman Kyle Hollingsworth Drops Soulful Final Single Ahead of ‘All We Are’

Kyle Hollingsworth has released “Waiting on Time,” the final sampling of his new album All We Are, out this Friday, August 1, 2025. “This was an organ based tune,” Hollingsworth says. “I was thinking about Greg Allman when I was writing it. Some of the imagery came from that style. The lyrics speak of the struggle with addiction and staying on track. Falling down and getting back up again.” 

All We Are marks a bold new chapter in a career defined by creative risk-taking. With more than 20 years of solo work, seven solo albums, and over three decades with The String Cheese Incident, Hollingsworth continues to push boundaries, delivering a sound that’s fresh, unexpected, and uniquely his own.

“Waiting on Time” follows the release of two earlier singles: “Colorado” and “All We Are.” 

“Colorado” is a song that was inspired by mountain living. “All the images come from above 9,000 feet,” reflects Hollingsworth. “From the fall colors to the sparkling snow and spring flowers, these mountains fill my spirit.”  

“All We Are,” the title track to the album, is a shimmering, alt-rock-leaning single that trades extended solos for song-focused structure and lyrical introspection, yet remains undeniably funky in true Kyle fashion.  Pre-save the new album now.
