CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee Cody Johnson has premiered the video for his current hit single “The Fall” via COJO Music and Warner Music Nashville, with a YouTube after-party following the debut featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. Directed by award-winning director Dustin Haney, who also helmed Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t,” “Human,” “The Painter” and “Dirt Cheap” clips, the video bridges two sides of Johnson’s life as both cowboy and entertainer. World champion bull fighter Cody Webster stars in the leading role, playing the rider who gets beaten up and thrown down but gets back up to ride again, with the lyrics brought into clear focus as the film shifts between imagery of Cody performing the song in a dark field in pouring rain and the bullfighter who proves over and over again the ride is indeed worth the fall. Written by Bobby Pinson, Jeremy Stover and Ray Fulcher, “The Fall” is the second single off Johnson’s ‘Leather Deluxe Edition’ album.
YUNGMORPHEUS Announces Album ‘A Spyglass To One’s Face’ With Lead Single “Way The Rose Wilt”
Prolific rapper YUNGMORPHEUS has released his new album ‘A Spyglass to One’s Face’ via Known Agitators with distribution by Fat Beats. Made in collaboration with Charlotte producer Dirty Art Club, the album marks the rapper’s first offering of the year following his 2024 collaborative album with Alexander Spit, ‘Waking Up and Choosing Violence.’ The lead single “Way The Rose Wilt” arrived with an accompanying music video directed by Grant Spanier, described by Morph as a dive into the rabbit hole written during an interesting watershed period where cliches prove themselves for a reason and time is indeed fleeting. On an intricate sonic canvas from Dirty Art Club that draws cues from hip-hop, psychedelic rock and jazz, Morpheus’ lyricism cuts through with his conversational delivery of heavy realities and caustic humour in equal measure, carving out a path in the rap landscape that’s respective of the foundational canon but not beholden to it.
Inherently in the name and lyrical themes, the 16-track album is an exercise in personal growth and expansion with YUNGMORPHEUS’ keen introspection interwoven throughout, featuring guest appearances from YL, Cavalier, Lukah, Zeroh and Ba Pace. Through his career, YUNGMORPHEUS has crafted incisively written bodies of work that stretch listener expectations of rap’s limitations, adding his quintessential style to collaborative projects with diverse artists ranging from underground hip-hop icons like Pink Siifu and Real Bad Man to punk pioneer Eyedress and Japanese electronic savant Fumitake Tamura.
Falling Into View Releases Emotionally Resonant Third Single “Things (that I Thought Might One Day Be Useful)”
BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcester Featured Artist Falling into View has released their third single “Things (that I thought might one day be useful)” on October 24th, 2025. Written and composed by prolific songwriter Allan in just thirty minutes while packing boxes and preparing to move from the family home after many years, the track transforms the experience of clearing out sentimental items into a breakup song with a clever twist. The song explores how everyone has that drawer or cupboard shelf full of precious things gathered across the years, turning the discovery of these objects into a metaphor for the way we bank memories, using them to look back fondly over our journey or remind ourselves not to take certain pathways again. Recorded at Magic Garden Studios in the West Midlands and produced by multi-platinum and BMA award winner Gavin Monaghan, the track has already received BBC Introducing airplay and regularly stops people in their tracks at live shows, creating moments of stunned silence before applause when Lyss and Allan perform it in a stripped back way.
Following successful releases and reviews of their first two singles “What is it like to Lose?” and “On with the Show,” the band continues to blend the best of Country and Americana with an unashamed nod to Pop, delivering a sound that resonates across multiple genres. Singer Alyssa previously made waves as a BBC Introducing featured artist, while Allan carries the torch as the band’s most seasoned musician, having played alongside drummer Gordon in previous band The Idle Quiet. After that chapter closed, Gordon suggested Alyssa take the microphone for a new project, bringing ex work colleague and long-term friend Rob on board to play bass with lead guitarist Bernie, a former bandmate of Rob, joining soon after to complete a lineup that came together as if it were meant to be.
Just six months into their story as a band, Falling into View has received radio airplay across multiple stations and earned reviews praising Alyssa’s vocals as the kind that stop you mid-conversation, with critics noting the band arrived fully formed and crafted a sound that feels far bigger than their roots. With a rich mix of influences, undeniable chemistry and an ability to not take itself too seriously, the group continues making its mark one song at a time.
Kit Major Unleashes Horror-Punk Energy In Cinematic Music Video For “Teenage Wannabe”
Punk and alt-rock firebrand Kit Major has dropped the music video for “Teenage Wannabe” via Futureless, a snarling, cinematic track brimming with horror-punk energy that serves as a tongue-in-cheek anthem of identity, chaos and survival in a world thriving on manufactured personas. Directed by longtime collaborator Noël Dombroski, the clip brings the camp and spectacle of B-horror and sci-fi films to vivid life, capturing the chaos of Major’s live shows while blending it with surreal horror imagery. Written by Kit Major alongside AJ Peacox on guitar and Rob Nagelhout on drums, bass, production and mixing, the single is both nerdy and seductive, stuffed with twists, turns and a scream cameo by Major’s sister Emma Lev. The track pulls inspiration from punk and horror icons like The Ramones, Misfits, The Cramps and even the Castlevania video game series while carving out Major’s own razor-edged lane.
Known for fusing post-punk energy, Britpop shimmer and garage rock grit into glitter-bomb anthems that linger long after the final note, Major has been featured in PAPER, Alternative Press, Post-Punk, Wonderland, Flaunt and Under The Radar while landing placements on Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds and New Rock. Her electrifying live performances and sharp lyricism continue to build momentum as she carved out a distinct space where imagination, glam and spectacle collide.
Austin Art-Pop Band Alma Muñeca Shares “Anhelo” From Healing EP ‘Deseo Un Brillo’
Austin-based art-pop band Alma Muñeca has released “Anhelo,” the latest single from their EP ‘Deseo un Brillo’ out now. The four-piece group led by Panamanian immigrant Cocó Allegra and produced by Ernesto Grey alongside Matt Russell and Wade Stephens has their song written entirely in Spanish, and the five-track project chronicles an empowering search for self-confidence, peace and healthy, fulfilling relationships while diving into desire, love and heartbreak. “Anhelo” sinks into breakup tension and desire, functioning as a personal phone call to an ex during that typical moment where you’re going through a separation but still strongly desire intimacy without caring about consequences. The song’s wonky instrumental hook came first from a modular synth followed by a bouncy bassline, living in an ambiguous state for months until the band needed one more song to complete a 30-minute live set and discovered their sound hinged on a simple four on the floor dance beat that brought all the dissonant and experimental textures to life.
Written during a bout of heartbreak, the project explores the dynamics between being on and off with someone as well as familial heartbreak and disappointment, navigating the intricate difficulties of nuanced relationships. Allegra felt inspired by old salsa music she would play on repeat during breakups, particularly Oscar D’León’s “Lloraras,” while also drawing motivation from FKA Twigs’ “oh my love” and Fiona Apple’s “I Want You to Love Me.” Grey has worked his whole life for this moment, from early life in Mexico where he was exposed to 2000s Latin pop led by rock instrumentation to his formative teen years in Austin where he discovered electronic producers like Trent Reznor, Thom Yorke and Jon Hopkins. Through their live performances, Alma Muñeca aims to uplift the Latin and queer communities while pairing honest stories with experimental, synth-filled production and dreamy vocals.
Tonio Armani Channels Southern Soul Energy On Dance-Ready New Single “Trailride” Via Death Row Records
Death Row Records’ Southern Soul sensation Tonio Armani has released “Trailride,” a dance-ready track that fuses Southern Soul, blues and country-influenced R&B into an infectious groove. Driven by funky bass lines and Tonio’s rich, inviting vocals, the song captures the joy of community gatherings from line dancing at cookouts to riding out at trailride events, perfectly bringing to life the energy, movement and celebration of Southern culture. Tonio tips his hat to Quad City DJs and their classic “C’mon N’ Ride It (The Train),” taking that same spirit and movement while giving it a new Southern Soul flavor for grown folks to two-step to in 2025. The track carries the torch of a culture that lives and breathes through music, movement and community, delivering something that still feels good but hits different.
Liam Foody Explores Emotional Struggle Of Letting Go On Introspective New Single “The One”
Ballyhaunis singer-songwriter Liam Foody releases “The One” on October 10th, an introspective track exploring the emotional struggle of holding on to things we don’t want to let go of while delving into the difficult realization that everything happens for a reason. The single came together unexpectedly when Foody was in the studio working on a different song and the chorus melody suddenly came to mind. The rest of the track developed quickly as he and longtime collaborator, fellow Mayo musician Kriss Kurda, shifted focus to getting this song finished. Kurda brought the track to life with synthesisers, live guitar and heavy drums before Dublin-based producer Gavin Doyle added his finishing touches.
Since his 2024 debut, the “New Local Hero” nominee has earned widespread acclaim across Irish media with features in Hot Press, The Beat, Pure M Zine, The Daily Music Report and more. His atmospheric indie sound and heartfelt songwriting have positioned him as a sure one to watch in the Irish music scene. With only his third original release, “The One” deepens the promise Foody has shown from the beginning, marking another confident step forward as he emerges as one of Ireland’s freshest new voices in indie.
Cyan Kicks Delivers Most Powerful Album Yet With ‘Come Hell, Come High Water’ Featuring Ten Uncompromising Tracks
Helsinki-based alt-rock band Cyan Kicks has released ‘Come Hell, Come High Water,’ their most powerful and ambitious album yet. Formed in 2016 by vocalist Susanna Alexandra, guitarist Niila Perkkiö, bassist Leevi Erkkilä and drummer Pietari Reijonen, the band worked on this 10-track collection across four cities over two intense years in Los Angeles, Gothenburg, Helsinki and London. Each song received dedicated time and attention as the band pushed their music into heavier, angrier and more aggressive territory than ever before. The raw intensity throughout reflects emotions and struggles that inspired the record, making it less a collection of songs and more a statement of determination and strength.
Niila Perkkiö recorded, produced and mixed all songs on the album except for “Dancing with Demons,” which was finalized with producer Dan Lancaster, known for his work with Muse, Bring Me The Horizon and Blink 182. The Finnish quartet has always displayed a knack for presenting incredibly strong and uplifting music in a genre known for emotionally misplaced bombast, and that cavalier spirit shines through alongside the sincerity and directness of their songwriting. Born out of the most difficult times the band has faced, ‘Come Hell, Come High Water’ represents Cyan Kicks at their most uncompromising, creating something they can proudly look back on decades from now knowing there’s not a single weak moment across its runtime.
