Heavy Rock Upstarts Stud Farm Mafia Ask The Ultimate Question On Debut EP “Did You Have A Good Weekend?”

0

Stud Farm Mafia arrived with a question and a six-track gut punch. The Oxford heavy rock four-piece released their debut EP “Did You Have a Good Weekend?” on March 17th, a self-released slab of baritone riffs, stop-start grooves, and shout-along choruses that sounds like a band who have been waiting for exactly this moment. The wait was worth it.

Recorded with David Radahd-Jones at Red City Recordings in Manchester, the EP takes a throwaway piece of Monday-morning small talk and turns it into something with real teeth. The guitars snap between clipped rhythm patterns and warped, twisting lines. The bass barges into the mid-range and carries hooks of its own. The drums favour bounce over bludgeon, and when the choruses hit they feel less like rock moments and more like slogans the room already knows.

The songs hit specific targets with precision. “Ten Past Ten” dismantles the 9-5 loop. “So Pretty” and “Gun Show” take aim at gym-floor toxic masculinity through falsetto hooks and rap-rock swagger. “S.O.S.” builds its main riff around Morse code and doubles as a charity track supporting ActionAid, turning doomscroll-era anxiety into something loud and strangely hopeful. This is heavy music with a brain and a smirk, and it works.

The band, Cole Bryant on vocals, Nath Digman on guitars, Rikard Ridemark on bass, and Luke Evans on drums, rebuilt from previous projects with one clear goal: make something that actually sounds like them. Heavier, funnier, and a lot more honest. “Did You Have a Good Weekend?” delivers on all three counts, and then some.

Atlus Drops 15-Track Label Debut ‘Art Of Letting Go’ And Hits The Road On The “RussellMania Tour”

0

Atlus built this moment from the ground up. The Denver-raised singer-songwriter spent years writing lyrics behind the wheel of a commercial truck, balancing driving shifts, UPS runs, and rideshare work to fund studio time and support his family. That foundation shows on ‘Art of Letting Go,’ his 15-track label debut via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, and it is out now.

The album is named after its title track, written in direct response to the loss of his sister to addiction. It doesn’t flinch. Blending country with rock, pop, and hip-hop, ‘Art of Letting Go’ covers the full range of Atlus’ story, from grief and survival to resilience and release. Produced primarily by Andrew Baylis, the record includes radio single “Devil Ain’t Done,” lead track “Spare Key,” and release day focus “Still Haven’t Stopped.” All three land with the kind of emotional directness that has driven Atlus past one billion on-demand streams.

“This time, with this album, it’s about moving through moments and experiences that shaped me as a person, as a brother, as a son, and as an artist,” Atlus shares. “My deepest hope is that someone out there hears these songs and connects with the stories and the music and feels like their load is a little lighter because we are sharing the experience.” That sincerity runs through every track on this record, and it hits.

“Devil Ain’t Done” continues to climb country radio charts and reached the Top 5 in Australia. “Spare Key” features an appearance by artist and influencer Demps in its music video. “Still Haven’t Stopped” digs into the complicated weight of loving someone through active addiction. These aren’t radio filler. They are songs with real stakes, written by someone who lived them.

Atlus continues touring through 2026, joining Russell Dickerson on the “RussellMania Tour” this spring alongside festival appearances and headlining dates.

Duane Betts Announces ‘Isle Of Hope’ On Sun Records, Drops New Single “Down To Houston”

0

Duane Betts has announced ‘Isle of Hope,’ his second solo album, arriving June 12 on Sun Records. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Dave Cobb and recorded in five days at Cobb’s Savannah studio, the record is ten tracks written with longtime collaborator Stoll Vaughan. The first single, “Down To Houston,” is out now, and it hits with the kind of unhurried confidence that defines Betts at his best.

The album was forged during one of the most significant periods of Betts’ life. While his career was thriving as both a solo artist and founding member of The Allman Betts Band, he lost his father and mentor, Dickey Betts. ‘Isle of Hope’ is the direct result of that reckoning. “With Isle of Hope, I wanted to show my life’s experiences,” Betts shares. “In these anxious times in the world, music is always a sanctuary and gives people a feeling of purpose and strength.”

The record features a tight band of serious players, Johnny Stachela and J.D. Simo on guitars, Brian Allen on bass, Philip Towns on keys, and Derrek Phillips on drums. Sun Records Chief Strategy Officer Dominic Pandiscia calls it “an all-time great album showcasing the depth of his songwriting and musicianship.” That’s not hyperbole. This is Betts operating at full creative capacity.

‘Isle of Hope’ follows his acclaimed 2023 debut ‘Wild & Precious Life,’ which featured Derek Trucks, Marcus King, and Nicki Bluhm. Betts has been road-tested for years, as co-founder of The Allman Betts Band and through relentless solo touring with his band Palmetto Motel. The upcoming run includes two nights at The Barns at Wolf Trap, stops at Capitol Theatre, Amaturo Theater, and select Allman Betts Band dates, among many others.

Isle Of Hope Tracklist:

  1. Heartache
  2. Reckless
  3. Into The Void

Irish Rock Guitar Ace Paul Sherry Drops Video For ‘Peace In Mind’ Title Track Off Fourth Album

0

Paul Sherry has released the music video for “Peace In Mind,” the title track from his fourth album, out now. Filmed on location in County Monaghan by Brendan McElroy of Pixil Media, the video carries the same quiet, searching energy as the song itself. It’s a strong visual companion to one of the more grounded rock records to come out of Ireland in recent years.

‘Peace In Mind’ earned four stars from RnR Magazine, with the publication calling it a “tight, well delivered album, filled with great songs with no unnecessary frills.” Hot Press tagged it “heart-on-sleeve, anthemic roots rock.” Back-to-back No.1 singles on UK Future Hits Top 40 Radio followed. The record is built on ten songs delivered with Sherry’s trademark feel-first approach, produced by longtime collaborator Rocky O’Reilly, with Davy Cassidy on drums and Paul McCabe on bass.

The title track draws its inspiration from philosopher Alan Watts, specifically his teaching that true serenity comes from merging with the flow of existence rather than resisting it. Sherry translates that idea into something direct and personal. “As we all walk our own paths in life, we are all just trying to find peace in mind wherever we can,” he says.

Sherry’s resume is extensive. Best known as lead guitarist with the Gráinne Duffy Band, he has collaborated with Marc Ford, Dale Davis, Arron Sterling, Jorgen Carlsson, Kenny Aronoff, and Justin Stanley. He brings that same level of craft and seriousness to his solo work, and ‘Peace In Mind’ reflects exactly that, a rock and roots record made with real skill and zero wasted space.

Charli xcx And Takashi Miike’s Untitled Kyoto Slasher Adds Hailey Benton Gates To Cast

0

With principal photography having recently commenced, Live Nation Studios has joined Takashi Miike’s highly anticipated, untitled slasher-horror feature starring Charli xcx as executive producers.

Aidan Zamiri is joining as a producer.  Zamiri most recently co-wrote and directed A24’s “The Moment,” which Charli also produced and starred in.

Hailey Benton Gates is joining the lead cast. Gates, who also starred in “The Moment,” most recently had her Sundance Grand Prize Winner, “Atropia,” released theatrically. Next up, she’ll be seen in A24’s “The Drama,” starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya.

Previously announced cast includes Norman Reedus (“The Walking Dead”), Kiko Mizuhara (“Attack on Titan”) and Show Kasamatsu (“Tokyo Vice”).

Set in Kyoto, the film follows three best friends who reunite and rekindle their lifelong friendship during what is intended to be a carefree girls trip. The getaway spirals into terror when Katie (Charli xcx) becomes possessed by a violent, tortured spirit (Mizuhara), unleashing a nightmare steeped in Japanese horror tradition.

The screenplay, inspired by an original idea from Charli and Director Miike, was written by Ross Evans and Yumiko Aoyagi.

“Live Nation Studios helps artists tell bold stories that go beyond the stage,” said Ryan Kroft, Head of Film & Television at Live Nation Studios. “This film represents the kind of creative collaboration we love to champion from top filmmakers with distinctive voices that can connect to global audiences.”

Among Miike’s more than 100 feature films are cult classics including “Audition” (1999), “Ichi the Killer” (2001), “13 Assassins” (2010) and “Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai” (2011).

Charli is producing through her studio365 banner. Misako Saka, Director Miike’s longtime producing partner, continues to produce on behalf of OLM, in conjunction with Live Nation Studios and Good World Productions.

Devon Allman Marks 20 Years With a Tour That Covers His Entire Remarkable Career

0

Polish Rap Star Mata Teams Up With Chicago’s Polo G on Cross-Continental New Single “PANGEA”

0

Warsaw’s biggest rap export just made his most international move yet. Mata, the most-streamed Polish rapper on Spotify, has released “PANGEA,” a new single with Chicago heavyweight Polo G that lands as the first preview of his upcoming project #MATA2040. Shot in Los Angeles and built around a track that moves between Polish ambition and American confidence, “PANGEA” is exactly the kind of record that travels. Save it here.

Mata drives the record with rapid-fire Polish bars rooted in growth, travel, and long-term vision, weaving in reflections on his upbringing in Warsaw’s Praga district and his push to expand beyond it. Polo G brings a hard-hitting, introspective flow that balances swagger with substance, reinforcing the track’s global appeal without softening its edges. The official video brings both artists together on screen, trading verses with the kind of chemistry that makes cross-continental collaborations feel earned rather than assembled.

Mata’s rise in Poland has been nothing short of seismic. A New York Times profile described his track “Patointeligencja” as his “explosive entrance into Polish cultural life,” a record that ignited widespread cultural debate around youth and privilege in Poland. He broke through on the strength of sharp bars, viral momentum, and a no-rules approach to the genre that resonated far beyond Warsaw’s Praga district.

“PANGEA” sets the tone for #MATA2040, a project that appears to be framing Mata’s ambitions on a genuinely global timeline. The combination of Polish cultural specificity and international reach is what makes this single work, two artists from different worlds finding common ground in the universal language of leveling up.

Myles Smith Announces Debut Album ‘My Mess, My Heart, My Life’ and His Biggest Tour Yet

0

Myles Smith has been building toward this moment for two years, and now it is here. The Luton-born singer and songwriter has announced his debut album ‘My Mess, My Heart, My Life’, due June 12 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records, alongside an extensive 2026 tour that runs through North America, Europe, and the UK, culminating in a landmark headline show at London’s The O2. General on sale begins March 27 at 10 a.m. local time.

The album features his global breakthrough “Stargazing,” which has amassed hundreds of millions of streams and established Smith as one of the UK’s most compelling new voices, alongside the reflective duet “Drive Safe” with Niall Horan, fan favorite “Nice To Meet You,” the uplifting anthem “Gold,” and the euphoric “Stay (If You Wanna Dance).” Smith is direct about what drives the record. “This album is the most honest thing I’ve ever made,” he says. “These songs come from moments I never thought I’d share. Nights that felt endless, mornings that felt like starting over, memories that will always stay with me.”

The emotional architecture of ‘My Mess, My Heart, My Life’ is built on a deliberate choice to resist resolution. “One of the biggest shifts while writing this album was resisting the urge to resolve everything,” Smith explains. “Not every feeling has an answer, and sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is sit inside that emotion rather than wrap it up neatly.” That approach gives the album its tension and its honesty, and makes it land harder for it.

The North American run this summer sees Smith supporting Ed Sheeran on the North American leg of his LOOP Tour at stadiums including Soldier Field in Chicago, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Rogers Centre in Toronto (three nights), and Ford Field in Detroit, before a run of his own headline dates across the continent with support from Hazlett, Lily Meola, Michael Marcagi, and others.
