 aron!, the 21 year old singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist, shares his debut EP cozy you (and other nice songs), out now on Verve Records/Universal Music Canada. It’s an intimate six-track introduction to aron!’s world of cozy music. Along with the EP, aron! shares the lyric video for “eggs in the morning,” a romantic, tongue-in-cheek waltz of a song that showcases aron!’s charm.

It’s important to know that when you listen to aron!, you’ll hear his virtuosity, but you’ll also hear his authenticity. When he isn’t making music, he’s either on a long walk outside, eating pho and ramen (his diet almost exclusively), or watching an episode of Gilmore Girls.

aron! has amassed millions of streams and built a loyal, dedicated following as he gears up to make his Verve Records debut. This EP is all about how everyone wants to get “cozy” sometimes — “My songs are little vignettes from my life,” he observes. “To me, ‘cozy’ is the perfect word for the vibe of this project. Hopefully, you’ll think so too!

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, aron!’s mom and dad introduced him to rock icons like Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, but it was the game Guitar Hero that first made him pick up a real guitar at eight-years-old and enroll in lessons at a local music school. He eventually met an “80-year-old jazz guitar teacher at Sam Ash.” The instructor taught aron! how to read music and further inspired his passion for jazz. Maybe it was the pre-teen rebellion inside that pushed him from rock and into jazz. In high school, he also regularly played music for the residents of retirement homes, performing old classics from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra for dementia patients. “I’d put on my little bow tie and a dress shirt to make it official,” he laughs.

aron! studied classical composition at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, developing an appreciation for Chopin, Ravel, and Bach. During COVID, he dedicated himself to learning piano, waking up at 7:30am daily and exploring all that you can do with 88 keys. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Miami and majored in jazz voice and film scoring. Simultaneously, he cut his teeth live by playing dozens of shows in his indie pop band Sunny Side Up!.

In 2023, he explored what he calls “a vintage pop sound,” and started building a strong following online. Labels started to call, and he signed to Verve to further develop his brand of ‘cozy pop’ on this new EP. “It’s like singer-songwriter jazz,” he goes on. “I’ve always resonated with the real old-school romantics. People are going through the same things now as they were back then. Heartbreak is heartbreak, and love is love. We’re all humans, and that’s what most of these songs are about.”

Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe Release Twin Albums ‘Luminal’ and ‘Lateral’

Today, Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe share their collaborative albums, Luminal and Lateral and you can listen here to Luminal and Lateral.

Eno and Wolfe first met through their environmental work when they gave a SXSW featured talk on ‘Art and Climate’. The talk was recently selected as one of the festival’s best in 25 years.

The pair then met again when they were each showing their visual and conceptual art pieces at separate galleries in London. Their musical collaboration grew out of those meetings.

Commenting on the new single Eno says “In Play On the piece took us somewhere unusual, a place where some quite incompatible feelings became restless bedfellows – there’s anger and ecstasy, some kind of desperation mixed with some kind of force – and some kind of joy. Is there a word for that mixed feeling? Even if there isn’t, there’s now a piece of music for it.”

Reflecting on their collaboration on this project, which was recorded sporadically by the pair through 2024, Brian and Beatie said:

“Music is about making feelings happen. Some of those feelings are familiar, while others may not be – or may be complex mixtures of several different feelings. There are many beautiful words for such feelings in other languages and cultures – words that don’t exist in English. By giving a feeling a name, we make that feeling more likely to be felt, more tangible. Art is able to trigger feelings, or feeling mixtures, that we’ve never quite felt before. In this way, a piece of Art can become the ‘mother’ for a type of feeling, and a place you can go to find and re-experience that feeling. Some of the feelings we found ourselves working with were these…

Beatie Wolfe has recently held a solo exhibition of her design work at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, has been appointed a UN role model for innovation, and alongside Michael Stipe, was one of the artists on the world’s first bioplastic record, released by EarthPercent. Wolfe was named by WIRED as one of “22 people changing the world” and is at the forefront of pioneering new formats that bridge the physical and digital. Wolfe’s latest innovations include a visualization of 800,000 years of NASA’s CO2 data, which premiered at the Nobel Prize Summit; a brain installation which was exhibited at the London Design Biennale in Somerset House and is currently on show at the Museum of Science Boston, and a Big Oil x Methane project which won Prix ars Electronica Golden Nica. Other recent projects include the world’s first bioplastic record with Michael Stipe and Earth Percent, a collective mail art project with DEVO’S Mark Mothersbaugh and of course, a new body of work with Brian Eno. Wolfe is also the co-founder of a groundbreaking research project looking at the power of music for dementia. If you have not heard of her yet, you will.

Brian Eno bio – musician, producer, visual artist and activist first came to international prominence in the early seventies as a founding member of British band, Roxy Music, followed by a series of solo albums and collaborations. His work as producer includes albums with Talking Heads, Devo, U2, Laurie Anderson, James, Jane Siberry and Coldplay, while his long list of collaborations include recordings with David Bowie, Jon Hassell, Harold Budd, David Byrne, Grace Jones, his brother, Roger, on ‘Mixing Colours’ and recently with Fred Again. In January 2024, ‘Eno’, a generative film about his life was screened at Sundance film festival to critical acclaim. It was accompanied by a soundtrack release with new unreleased songs and classic Eno recordings spanning five decades.

Eno’s visual experiments with light and video continue to parallel his musical career, with exhibitions and installations all over the globe. He has exhibited extensively, as far afield as St. Petersburg’s Marble Palace, Ritan Park in Beijing, Arcos de Lapa in Rio de Janeiro and the sails of the Sydney Opera House. He is involved in multiple activist work, such as the climate charity Earth Percent and HardArt, both of which he co-founded, as well as the Stop The War coalition. He is a founding member of the Long Now Foundation, a trustee of Client Earth and patron of Videre est Credere. In 2023, Brian was awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement by the Venice Biennale Musica. He has recently written his second book, “What Art Does” co-authored with Bette A. and based upon his experience as an artist. Published by Faber, it was released in January 2025.

“‘Demonic Depression’ is based on one of my really good friends and the state of mind that he was in for a couple of years,” says Poulsen.  “I’ve played it for several friends, and they’ve all asked, ‘Did you write that about me?’ Which is a little scary and just shows how many people are dealing with mental issues in certain parts of their lives and how many are constantly struggling.”

He furthers, “It’s about some heavy mental issues, so I guess the message is pretty universal. Depression is so all-consuming, and it affects so many people, and the best way to help someone struggling with it is to talk to them and listen what they have to say. I’ve had my share of mental issues throughout life, so I guess I’m part of the lyrics, too.”

With God Of Angels Trust, the Danish band — which has scored 11 No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock airplay chart, with the latest being the new album’s first single “By a Monster’s Hand,” marking the most ever for a band based outside North America — has thrown caution to the wind, ignored comfort zones, and paid little heed to traditional songwriting in the search for something more immediate and surprising. Lil Wayne Unleashes Star-Studded ‘Tha Carter VI’ with Bono, Bocelli, and a World Tour to Match

Five-time GRAMMY Award-winning multi platinum rapper Lil Wayne has released his highly anticipated 14th studio album, Tha Carter VI, via Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records. The 19-track album was produced by an all-star lineup including Lil Wayne, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Wyclef Jean, and more.

 For the past six years, Lil Wayne has been writing and crafting his massively anticipated sixth installment of his legendary Tha Carter series. The album includes features from Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Wyclef Jean, Kodak Black, along with his sons Kameron Carter and Lil Novi.

Reflecting upon THA CARTER VI, Wayne says, “Real art can’t be rushed — and y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine. Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. This album is for the ones who’ve been riding with me through all Tha Carters. We takin’ it further than ever before with this one. Tunechi back. The first public glimpse of the album debuted during last night’s 2025 NBA Final Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers, where “The Days” feat. Bono appeared in marketing and creative promotions and will continue throughout the series and extend into broadcasts.

To celebrate the release, Wayne will hold his first-ever headlining show at Madison Square Garden tonight, June 6, giving fans an exclusive first listen to the new music live in New York City. 

Additionally, tickets for his recently announced ‘Tha Carter VI’ tour will be available starting at 10am local today, and will be a special North American run following the release of the new record and celebrating over 20 years of his iconic Tha Carter album series. Aside from this tour he is also planning something special for his hometown at this year’s Weezyana fest in New Orleans, to be announced at a later date. 

Lil Wayne rewrote the entire game in his image. The five-time GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum rap icon, Young Money Entertainment founder, acclaimed author, pro skater, philanthropist, and history-making superstar left an indelible tattoo on the culture. By 2020, he cemented his legacy forever as “one of the best-selling artists of all time,” tallying sales in excess of 100 million records worldwide with 25 million albums and 90 million digital tracks sold in the United States alone. In 2022, Wayne earned his first Diamond certification from the RIAA with his generational smash hit “Lollipop” feat. Static Major. Not to mention, he garnered 11 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two MTV VMAs, and eight NAACP Image Awards. Among many milestones, he emerged as “the first male artist to surpass Elvis Presley with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100,” logging a staggering 183 entries – the 3rd most of all time. 

With a discography highlighted by five career spanning #1 debuts beginning with 2008’s 6x platinum, 3x GRAMMY Award-winning opus Tha Carter III and its 5x platinum, 2011 successor Tha Carter IV, he released the latest version of the series – Tha Carter V – in 2018. Not only did it clinch #1 on the Billboard 200, but it also achieved “the second-largest streaming week for an album in history.” Every song on the tracklisting charted on the Billboard Hot 100 as he became “the first artist to debut two songs in the top 5.” It all bulldozed the way for his thirteenth full-length, Funeral, a year later. Simultaneously, Wayne owns and operates Young Money Entertainment as C.E.O. The company ignited the careers of two of the most successful artists ever—Drake and Nicki Minaj. Pop’s rising star Sofia Camara returns with her fresh single “Girls Like You,” released today, accompanied by a vibrant lyric video, the track marks a bold, danceable step for the 23-year-old singer-songwriter, as she pivots from ballads to breezy summer pop.

Speaking about the track, Camara shares, “This song is about emotional muscle memory… There’s something so beautiful about a little bit of danger and the unknown – especially when it feels so familiar, like love.”

“Girls Like You” brings together a high-profile songwriting team: Mike Wise, Nathan Ferraro, Lowell, and Donny Bravo. The team previously worked on Camara’s hit “Who Do I Call Now?
