Calum Hood continues his solo era today, with the release of his new single “Call Me When You Know Better” alongside the official video. The track is featured on Calum’s recently announced debut solo album ORDER chaos ORDER out June 13th via Capitol Records.
For Calum, “Call Me When You Know Better” was a sonic breakthrough when making the album. The track not only welds digital and organic sounds together to create the sonic skeleton of what would become ORDER chaos ORDER, but also became a representation of the erratic noise in Calum’s mind and the chaos of contradicting thoughts, reflections, regrets and beyond.
Calum explains, “‘Call Me When You Know Better’ is a love letter in the form of an apology. For maybe not being the best lover or friend to the people who mean the most to me. Thoughts contradicting one another, talking over each other and stretching reality. It’s a reflection on mistakes made, perpetual regret and self pity.”
The single follows “Don’t Forget You Love Me” – released in March and deemed a “Song You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone – the track serves as the album’s emotional cornerstone and introduced listeners to the raw honesty and sonic depth that defines it.
Having spent the past 14 years touring the world and releasing music as one fourth of global phenomenon 5 Seconds of Summer – which claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard 200 with three consecutive albums and has amassed over 7 billion combined global streams across its songs – Calum strikes out on his own for the first time, and emerges not just as a solo musician, but as an introspective storyteller. The result of a deeply personal creative journey, the album explores the strength it takes to look inward and to move forward through pain.
Crafted primarily alongside Jackson Phillips, aka Day Wave, with key contributions from David Burris (Lauren Spencer Smith, ITZY) and TMS, ORDER chaos ORDER is heady, raw, tender work that is unflinchingly sincere, buoyed by hints of a coiled intensity within – a record that showcases the 29-year-old musician’s mastery of nuance and emotional depth. While ORDER chaos ORDER marks a new beginning, it is also a reckoning with Calum’s past.
“This album was made in a tumble dryer of knowing and not knowing,” said Calum. “I started out with a vision-order-but quickly became overwhelmed by the process-chaos. Eventually, I learned to embrace both, and that balance became the heart of the record. There are things I’ve never been able to sing about in the band-my upbringing, my family, the places life has taken me. This album is about laying those things to rest and allowing listeners to connect in their own way.”
If Janis Joplin had joined Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac…. It might have sounded a lot like this.
Eric Gales needs no introduction. Guitar World’s Best New Talent for 1991, Billboard blues chart-topper, and a 2022 Grammy nominee, Gales is also a Cleopatra Records regular (most recently his 2023 collaboration with Doug Pinnick, covering Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love”), as well as a regular on the official Jimi Hendrix tribute tours.
Mick Jagger is a fan, and so is Joe Bonamassa, who has described him as“one of the best, if not the best, guitar players in the world.” Now he’s playing alongside Swedish born, LA based Linn Holmes, on her Cleopatra Records debut single, spreading molten guitar across an audacious cover of the Allman Brothers’ “Whipping Post.”
“He is such a phenomenal guitar player and musician,” says Linn. “I’ve listened a lot to his previous work. I am beyond honored that he wanted to work with me on this track!
Linn was still a child the first time she heard Gregg Allman’s “Whipping Post” – not on the Allmans’ debut album where it first appeared, but via the southern rockers’ 1971 Fillmore live album, where it consumes one entire side of vinyl.
It remains one of her all-time favorite songs, but taking it into the studio with Gales, plus producers Daniel Jakubovic and Rev. Tom Chandler, she adopted an altogether different approach to the number.
Condensing the Allmans’ 22 minute epic to less than three-and-one-half minutes, without losing an iota of the energy, was a tall order after all. But drenching the song even deeper in the blues, Linn’s vocal is spellbinding and Gales’ guitar is electrifying. There’s ears out there that have been listening to the Allmans’ version for over half a century. But with Gales at his most incendiary, Linn makes it her own regardless.
”As a massive Allman Brothers fan, recording ‘Whipping Post’ – I have never had more fun in the studio, getting to pay tribute to one of my favorite bands of all time and to get to create our own take on the song.
“I hope the listeners can feel the pure excitement of working on this track, as we are beyond thrilled to share it with you.”
Of course, none of this should come as a surprise. A long standing stalwart of the LA session scene, Linn’s magnificent voice is familiar too from her work alongside the 12-piece vintage rock group Harry Katz and the Pistachios, with the duo Asteron, Canadian rockers Elderoth and Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright’s Ultimate Jam Night all-stars.
Her own solo career, too, is exploding. Invited to appear on Fernando Perdomo’s 2025 tribute to Hall & Oates’s epochal War Babies album, Linn turned in what has to be one of the vocal performances of the year.
Two 2024 singles, “Cut Me” and the vivacious “Baby Blue,” meanwhile, set the stage for her debut EP Introducing Linn Holmes, described by The Source as “reflect[ing] Holmes’ deep appreciation for the rich musical heritage of the past while infusing it with a contemporary flair.”
Now Linn has joined the Cleopatra family, and her label debut, accompanied by a captivating video, can only embed her even deeper into the vanguard of modern rock’s most dynamic vocalists.
Catch Linn live with an acoustic set at the Foundation Room at the Los Angeles House of Blues, on Saturday May 31.
Primus have released the final episode of Interstellar Drum Derby, the band’s behind-the-scenes YouTube series chronicling their global open-call audition for a new drummer. The finale brings the journey full circle, showcasing the last round of in-studio auditions, final interviews, and the now-iconic moment when Les Claypool surprised John Hoffman with a cake and the news that he’d officially joined Primus.
The episode features appearances from Fred Armisen and Bob Odenkirk, commentary from longtime drum tech Tim “Soya” Solyan, and footage of both Hoffman and fellow finalist Gergő Borlai performing, bonding with the band, and reflecting on the stakes of the opportunity. What began as a cosmic call for submissions ends here as a celebration of chemistry, instinct, and a hard-earned seat behind one of the most storied kits in modern rock.
In its final stretch, the episode transitions into the studio for an exclusive look at the making of “Little Lord Fentanyl,” the band’s first new song in over three years—and the first to feature Hoffman. Captured during what would become his final audition, the footage shows Hoffman recording with the band before being officially offered the gig, offering fans a rare glimpse into Primus’ creative process at a pivotal moment of transition. The track, which includes a guest vocal from Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer), has been praised by Stereogum as “transgressive and comforting at the same time,” and described by Metal Hammer as “pure brain-melting oddness.”
Director Agent O called the finale “a challenge to put together” due to the sheer volume of compelling material. “There was so much to fit into a single episode,” he said. “The biggest challenge was figuring out how to showcase both drummers, Gergo and John, without repeating the same songs and keeping things moving forward. I think the back-and-forth editing between the two during the same track is fun to watch. You can hear the subtle differences, but it doesn’t disrupt the flow of the music. It was crucial to highlight their incredible talent, but it was just as important to show that these guys are humans, too.”
Hoffman’s full-circle rise—from gigging in Shreveport to front-page stories in Stereogum and a cover feature in the May issue of Modern Drummer—has resonated across the industry. The final episode of Interstellar Drum Derby offers a moving portrait of a drummer who, as Claypool put it, “rose above over 6,100 applicants to win the Interstellar Drum Derby and become the latest, and possibly the greatest, drummer to sit on the Primus drum throne.”
With Hoffman now in place, Primus are charging ahead—currently on the Sessanta Tour with Keenan’s Puscifer and A Perfect Circle, and gearing up for their Onward & Upward Summer Tour, which kicks off July 5th in Paso Robles, CA and hits 24 cities nationwide with support from Ty Segall and MonoNeon. Texas Headhunters—the blistering new band uniting Lone Star guitar heroes Ian Moore, Jesse Dayton, and Johnny Moeller—unleash their debut single “Maggie Went Back to Mineola” today, with their full self-titled album Texas Headhunters to follow on August 22 via Hardcharger/Blue Élan Records.
Tracked live at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Studio over five fire-breathing days, Texas Headhunters strips the paint off the walls: 12 gut-punch tracks, snarling and hard-lived — Texas blues at its coolest and most combustible.
The sessions were engineered and co-produced by Grammy-winning veteran Steve Chadie (Willie Nelson, Los Lonely Boys), whose no-frills approach captured the band’s unfiltered fire—raw, smoky, and as dangerous as a late-night pull of mezcal.
The first taste, “Maggie Went Back to Mineola,” is a Jesse Dayton-penned tale of hard living and harder redemption. “A girl from Mineola goes to Dallas and becomes a stripper,” Dayton says. “She gets into all this stuff, then comes home to work at the Dollar General and try to go to church. That’s Ian on lead.”
Driven by deep-pocket rhythms and barbed guitar licks, “Maggie” channels the same gritty spirit that powered early ZZ Top—bluesy, swaggering, and built to blast from a car radio with the windows down.
The magic is in the mix: Moore’s psychedelic edge, Moeller’s deep-pocket sting, and Dayton’s outlaw grind. All three sing. All three write. All three can burn the house down—but they also know when to lay back and let the groove breathe. It’s a dance, not a duel—and it hits like nothing else on the American roots scene right now.
This summer, Texas Headhunters make their live debut supporting Samantha Fish’s Paper Doll World Tour on a tight run of East Coast preview dates.
An official album release tour will follow in August, September, and October. Expect fireworks.

Formed by three veterans of the Austin blues explosion—Ian Moore, Jesse Dayton, and Johnny Moeller—Texas Headhunters isn’t a side hustle or a nostalgia act. It’s a statement.
Moore, the genre-bending guitarist who opened for the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan before forging his own soulful path.
Dayton, the Beaumont native who’s split time between punk, outlaw country, horror film scores, and Grammy-nominated modern blues.
Moeller, the secret-weapon guitarist of the Fabulous Thunderbirds and one of the deepest grooves ever to hit Antone’s.
The roots run deep. All three were among the last wave of young guns mentored by Clifford Antone himself—and Texas Headhunters lands fittingly as Antone’s celebrates its 50th anniversary. “We all grew up on that sound,” says Moore. “Tailgators, LeRoi Brothers, T-Birds, Stevie. The blues in Austin was just cool. That’s what we’re feeling here.” Texas Headhunters isn’t a throwback. It’s a revival. It’s the sound of the real thing kicking the doors open again.
In the fast-paced world of digital finance, cryptocurrency continues to redefine traditional concepts of investing, trading, and liquidity management. As the crypto space evolves, crypto market making has emerged as one of the most vital components in ensuring market efficiency and stability. But what exactly is market making, and why should investors, exchanges, and token projects care?
In this article, they’ll explore the role of crypto market making, how it benefits both traders and projects, and how strategic partnerships with specialized firms can create a significant competitive edge.
What Is Crypto Market Making?
At its core, market making involves continuously buying and selling assets to provide liquidity to the market. In crypto, market makers place buy and sell orders on exchanges to reduce the bid-ask spread, stabilize pricing, and encourage more trading activity.
Unlike traditional stock markets where institutional players handle this job, the crypto space relies on specialized service providers to perform the same role. These firms operate with advanced algorithms and high-speed execution systems to ensure constant availability of buy/sell orders across multiple platforms.
Why Market Making Matters in Crypto
Crypto markets are known for their high volatility and fragmented liquidity. Without market makers, many tokens would suffer from thin order books, erratic price swings, and poor user experiences. Here’s why market making is essential:
1. Improved Liquidity
By ensuring there’s always an order on both sides of the trade, market makers improve the overall liquidity of a token. This not only makes it easier for traders to enter or exit positions but also boosts confidence in the asset.
2. Stable Pricing
With narrow spreads and consistent order flow, prices remain more stable, protecting both traders and token issuers from harmful volatility that can discourage participation.
3. Higher Exchange Rankings
Many exchanges rank tokens based on trading volume and liquidity. Good market making strategies can help boost visibility, attract investors, and even increase token valuation over time.
Who Needs Market Making Services?
Market making isn’t just for large crypto exchanges or top-tier tokens. Projects at all stages of development can benefit:
New Token Launches: Market makers help ensure that new tokens launch smoothly with enough liquidity to attract early investors.
Existing Tokens: For tokens already listed, continuous liquidity improves investor confidence and trading volumes.
Crypto Exchanges: Exchanges rely on market makers to fill their order books and keep trading active around the clock.
Choosing a Reliable Market Making Partner
Not all market makers are created equal. Token projects and exchanges must carefully evaluate providers based on technology, transparency, performance, and reputation.
CLS Global stands out as a trusted partner in crypto market making, offering tailored solutions for digital assets. Their advanced algorithms and deep market knowledge help projects achieve optimal liquidity, boost trading performance, and gain credibility in a crowded market.
By working with seasoned experts like CLS Global, token issuers can focus on growth and innovation while their liquidity needs are handled by professionals.
Challenges and Misconceptions
Market making is sometimes misunderstood as price manipulation or artificial volume generation. However, legitimate market makers operate within strict guidelines and aim to enhance the natural functioning of markets—not distort them.
Challenges such as changing regulations, exchange policies, and algorithmic competition require continuous adaptation. This is why partnering with a firm that offers real-time optimization and support is crucial.
Final Thoughts: A Strategic Investment in Success
As the cryptocurrency industry matures, liquidity becomes more than a convenience—it’s a necessity. Crypto market making plays an indispensable role in ensuring that projects are not only tradeable but also competitive and credible.
Whether you’re launching a new token or scaling an existing one, market making should be a core part of your strategy. Choosing the right partner can make the difference between a token that fades into obscurity and one that thrives in the global spotlight.
If you’re looking to enhance your project’s visibility, performance, and trustworthiness, consider partnering with a top-tier market making service like CLS Global.

Today, New York singer-songwriter ROSIE returns with the empowering “Mr. Blue Jeans,” her new single out now. ROSIE uses this one to flip the script on being stood up; choosing to spend the night enjoying the company of the most important person, herself.
On the origin of the track, ROSIE shares, “‘Mr. Blue Jeans’ is about being stood up on a first date, but deciding to make the best of the night despite the unfortunate circumstances. When I was young being rejected used to feel like the end of the world to me but this song represents what rejection feels like when you’re confident in who you are and you know your own worth. Mr. Blue Jeans is not about a boy who stood me up, it’s about standing up for myself when someone else refused to show up.”
A testament to ROSIE’s ethos, “Mr. Blue Jeans” both lyrically and visually creates a space for women to choose themselves. With her classic no makeup look, ROSIE sings her anthem for the girls, “Hey Mr. Blue Jeans, you said 5:30 / Now its way past 9:00 / So I could waste this dress / I could lose my head / I could cry in bed / Like a man made mess / You’re just like the rest and I don’t know what I’ll do / But I’m not gonna waste tonight on you.”
“Mr. Blue Jeans” follows last month’s “City Woman,”which also saw ROSIE putting herself first. Raw honesty is a constant for ROSIE, and was a theme that featured heavily on her 2024 EP, What Scares Me the Most. That vulnerable yet self-affirming set served up raw, unfiltered lyrics over a timeless swirl of folk, pop, and indie — including “Break a Promise,” a heart-on-sleeve duet between ROSIE and Nashville up and comer Caleb Hearn.
Other EP highlights include tender charmer “Big Heart,” the strong-willed “Lose Me Too,” and “Rock Bottom,” all of which, according to The Honey Pop, “you all need to have your eyes on.” She also shared moving full-band performance videos for “Blood Moon” and “I Was Wrong,” among others. Early last year, ROSIE and Caleb Hearn first came together on “Little Bit Better” which to date has over 169 million global streams and praise from Conversations About Her, who described the track as “both touching and catchy.”
In a world of hiding behind who people are, ROSIE is not afraid to be unapologetically her.
When ROSIE started posting on TikTok, the emotional-pop artist achieved every songwriter’s dream: her breakout single “Never the 1” reached just shy of 18 million views and got the attention of Arista Records, who signed her shortly after. The New York native puts into words the complexities of heartbreak, resonating with millions, as well as celebrities like FINNEAS, Olivia Rodrigo, Charlie Puth, Olivia O’Brien, and Celine Dion–ROSIE even co-wrote “Love Again” for a SONY film, which was Dion’s first song since being diagnosed with Stiff-person Syndrome. At just 24 years old, ROSIE has already earned a reputation as a self-love visionaire by championing social media transparency through her vow not to wear makeup and never edits her photos, yes, not even Facetune. Whether it’s her lyrics or her artwork, ROSIE brings forward an unpolished, human authenticity. While ROSIE had a successful 2023 with the release of her sophomore EP, 5 Songs For Healing, and her first U.S. headlining tour, 2024 has seen the songstress reach new heights. ROSIE’s music now reaches 3M+ listenership worldwide, and her recent collaboration with singer-songwriter Caleb Hearn on “Little Bit Better” has gone viral online, amassing over 22 million views across Tiktok and Instagram reels. ROSIE is gearing up to unveil her next project later this year, which includes the latest singles “Lose Me Too,” “Try Again,” “Rock Bottom” and now “Big Heart.”

In Colombia, music isn’t just background noise—it’s center stage. It’s the heart of every party, the energy that flows through neighborhoods, generations, and regions. And if there’s one thing the past decade of streaming has made clear, it’s that Colombia doesn’t just export talent—it proudly celebrates it at home.
Now Spotify is launching “Súbele a Eso” (“Turn That Up”), a new initiative to amplify the growing connection between Colombians and their vibrant cultural identity. Spotify took to the streets of Bogotá, Cali, and Cartagena to document where and how music is truly lived—on street corners and inside homes, raw and unfiltered.
Since entering the market in 2013, Spotify has been moving to Colombia’s rhythm, witnessing firsthand the incredible growth of local music. Today, Colombia turns up the volume on its local artists—literally—more than 60% of countries around the world.
This underscores a remarkable transformation in recent years. In 2020, only 3 of every 10 songs in Colombia’s Top 50 chart were by Colombian artists. Since then, the time Colombians spend listening to local artists has skyrocketed by nearly 600%. Currently, more than half of the Top 50 chart (56%) features local artists, showcasing the incredible talent and diversity of the country’s music scene.
“For the past 10 years, we’ve witnessed how streaming has not only opened more opportunities for local artists, but has also become the perfect tool for building stronger, more lasting fan communities,” said Manuela Echeverry, Artist & Label Partnerships Lead for the Andean Region at Spotify. “There are more than 700 million user-created playlists on Spotify that include our music in all its diversity. Today, we’re more certain than ever that this is our flag: the variety of sounds and voices that exist in Colombia.”
The sounds of Colombia: Vallenato, música popular, and Afrobeats
Genres like vallenato and música popular are resonating strongly with young listeners in Colombia who are rediscovering icons like Los Diablitos and Binomio de Oro. Local vallenato streams have increased by 50% on Spotify compared to last year, while artists like Luis Alfonso and Nico Hernández are capturing the hearts of younger audiences in the música popular scene.
Colombian Afrobeats are also breaking through, with a 186% increase in local streams on Spotify compared to last year. Artists like Beéle and Kapo are leading the national charts, with Kapo’s collaboration with Danny Ocean, “Imagínate,” charting for more than 20 weeks and Beéle topping Colombia’s Top 50.
Ultimately, “Súbele a Eso” reaffirms Spotify’s commitment to the Colombian music industry by providing both promotional opportunities and educational resources. This initiative is designed to help Colombian music cross borders and strengthen its roots, paving the way for a vibrant future.

After four years of lectures, study sessions, exams, and parties, college seniors around the U.S. are getting ready for a major life milestone: graduation. And if the playlists they’re making are any indication, there’s an acute feeling of nostalgia for the music and moments of years past.
To celebrate the Class of 2025, Spotify is launching Best in Class, a playlist and trend report that captures student listening over the last four years. Curated by their editorial experts, Spotify’s official Best in Class playlist blends student user streaming data and editorial cultural trends to capture the songs, artists, and throwbacks that soundtracked the Class of 2025’s college years.
Class Heroes graduate with honors
College is a time to grow and evolve—and musical tastes are no exception.
From their first year to their final, the Class of 2025’s listening habits have ranged from unabashed pop gems, to emo-drenched R&B slow jams, to high-energy club anthems. Check out the Class Heroes that students streamed the most each of the last four years:
Since the beginning of the school year, Spotify listeners in the U.S. have created more than 37,000 playlists that have “graduation” or “Class of 2025” in their title.
These playlists tend to go heavy on throwback 2010s songs with sentimental themes. In fact, nine out of the 10 most-popular tracks added to these playlists were released more than a decade ago.
Speaking of nostalgia, let’s rewind a decade. During the 2014-2015 school year, listeners in the U.S. created nearly 17,000 Spotify playlists with “graduation” in the title.
Much like their current-day equivalents, 2015 graduation playlists did not hold back on sentimentality, with plenty of throwback hits from earlier decades. Here are the 10 songs that top that list:
To round out the playlist, their team of editors has also added in a mix of hits across genres from the last four years, graduation classics, party bangers, and a few tear-jerkers as students close the chapter on their student years.
Toast the Class of 2025 and discover the hits that soundtracked their college experience by pressing play on their Best in Class playlist.

As Europe gears up for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Spotify is celebrating the spirit of unity and musical legacy with a new series of Spotify Singles. Five artists from across the continent—Nemo, Loreen, Marina Satti, BABIE LATO, and ENNIO—have come together to reimagine iconic Eurovision hits.
With anticipation building for this year’s contest, Spotify’s Eurovision 2025 playlist has already been streamed for more than 6.7 million hours by eager fans since its launch in February. These newly released Spotify Singles, recorded at their Stockholm Studio, will amp up the excitement even further, breathing new life into beloved classics from the competition.
“The Eurovision Song Contest brings all of Europe together in a celebration of music and culture,” said Federica Tremolada, EU General Manager at Spotify. “Our new Spotify Singles aim to unite Europeans across different countries and generations to showcase the lasting impact of Eurovision. The contest provides a launchpad for some of Europe’s brightest artists who continue to shape the sound of the continent. I’m proud that Spotify provides a further platform to amplify these artists and fuel the export of European culture.”
“I had so much fun recording in Stockholm,” said Nemo. “I’m thrilled to share my extraterrestrial spin on Lena’s ‘Satellite’ as the first Swiss Spotify Single.”
Swedish pop phenomenon and two-time Eurovision winner Loreen lends her signature style to Duncan Laurence’s haunting ballad “Arcade,” which brought victory to the Netherlands in 2019 and has since become a global streaming phenomenon.
Marina Satti, a former Eurovision contestant representing Greece, brings her distinctive sound to “Fovame,” a rendition of MARO’s atmospheric track “saudade, saudade,” which represented Portugal in 2022.
“The days we spent at the Spotify Studios in Stockholm were truly unforgettable, and the studio experience was crazy,” recalled Marina. “I’m beyond excited to share with you my rendition of ‘Saudade’ as the first-ever Greek Spotify Single. I can’t wait for you to hear it!”
BABIE LATO is a project by Polish artists Margaret, Sara James, and Zalia. The trio tackles Loreen’s history-making hit, “Tattoo,” adding a Polish touch to the Eurovision-winning track from 2023.
“‘Tattoo’ by Loreen really struck a deep chord in our Polish- and Eurovision-loving hearts,” they said. “We had so much fun reworking this track—discovering a new sound and weaving in a touch of Polish nostalgia made us fall in love with it even more.”
German indie artist ENNIO introduces a new generation to the classic European pop tune “Wunder gibt es immer wieder,” originally performed by Katja Ebstein for Germany at the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest.
“Recording this Spotify Single allowed me to honor a classic while making it my own,” ENNIO said. “It means a lot to me. Thank you Spotify!”
These new releases are a testament to the creativity and artistry of Europe’s music scene. Check out the Eurovision 2025 playlist to hear this year’s official song entries.
