Da Crook Champions Toronto’s Rap Scene In Unapologetic Album Release “Who Decides War”

Today, Toronto rap maverick Da Crook adds another dimension to his artistry, with the release of Who Decides War available now on all streaming platforms. Who Decides War is unapologetic and compelling, with Da Crook unafraid to get personal with internal battles with his distinctive style and elegant approach to showcasing his unique sense of self. Combining lyrical finesse, and passionate wordplay with a meticulous selection of hypnotizing production from West Coast producers like Regime Made it, Jay on the Juice and Suro, the body of work which can only be described as beautiful art derived from chaos, offers a perspective from someone who’s at street level, packaged raw and structured.

The opening track “Fight or Flight” reflects on Da Crook’s personal hardships of losing friends to the system, while “16 Grammys & Oscars” depicts not only his growth as an artist, but resounding determination to come out on top. The project sees a dynamic collaboration with Detroit sensation Skilla Baby on “Down”, and channels Crook’s romantic side with “All I Want Is You” a heartfelt melodic rhythm featuring notable Toronto rapper NorthSideBenji, that sheds a light on the unadulterated wants, desires, and temptations of love. Both features add another layer of intrigue to the Toronto native and emphasize the unique cultural influences from both cities that shape the rappers’ identities.
