Swervedriver are marking 35 years of ‘Raise’ with a full North American tour, playing the 1991 debut in its entirety at every show, plus what the band is calling “a load of extra nuggets from the back catalogue.” The East Coast leg runs mid-to-late August with Canadian stops in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto, before a West Coast run closes out the year in December.

Released in September 1991 via Creation Records, ‘Raise’ drew from My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr., and Hüsker Dü to forge a signature blend of swirling guitars and driving rhythms that cemented Swervedriver as one of the defining acts of early 90s alternative rock. Frontman Adam Franklin put it simply: “Join us in celebrating 35 years of Raise. We’ll be performing the album in its entirety, from needle-down to run-off groove.”

The North American dates follow a UK run that includes an already sold-out London show at Village Underground on October 24, with additional dates added in Bristol, Oxford, Leeds, and Glasgow.

General on-sale for the North American dates begins Friday May 15 at 10 am local via Ticketmaster and the band’s website. BrooklynVegan presale is running now with code BVraise35.
