The cornfields are calling once again. Award-winning comedian, actor, screenwriter, and producer Dave Chappelle will return to Yellow Springs, Ohio, this summer for Dave Chappelle’s Summer Camp, a new run of shows at the Wirrig Pavilion. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 10 at 12 p.m. local time at Ticketmaster.com.
The newly announced dates are July 1, 2, and 3; August 20, 21, and 22; and August 27, 28, and 29. The cornfield shows, billed as Dave Chappelle’s Summer Camp and featuring Chappelle and friends, have grown into a highly anticipated summer tradition. What started as a pandemic-era effort to support the local community has evolved into a unique and intimate experience that brings top-tier comedy to the heart of Ohio. This year’s edition marks the 6th anniversary of the cornfield shows, a testament to Chappelle’s ongoing commitment to his hometown roots.
In keeping with tradition, this will be a phone-free experience. Phones, smartwatches, and accessories won’t be permitted in the performance space and will be secured in individual Yondr pouches on arrival. Guests keep possession of their devices at all times and can access them in designated Phone Use Areas, with everything re-secured before returning to the show. Anyone caught using a device during the performance will be escorted out.
Chappelle brings a staggering résumé to the cornfield. Widely recognized as one of the greatest comedians of all time, he is the 2019 recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and the 2025 NAACP President’s Award. His work spans the groundbreaking sketch series “Chappelle’s Show,” which became the best-selling TV-on-DVD release of its era, plus multiple Netflix specials and memorable turns on “Saturday Night Live.” He has earned five Emmy Awards, including two for hosting SNL, where his 17-minute monologue in 2025 stands as the longest in the show’s 50-year history. He has also won six Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album, most recently for “The Dreamer.”
These intimate outdoor nights have become something special, and with three weekends on the calendar, fans have more chances than ever to make the trip to Yellow Springs.
