The monthly ambassador program highlights artists shaping the country’s musical identity while creating space for new voices to be discovered. As part of the initiative, both artists will be featured on Toronto’s iconic Sankofa Square billboard and curate playlists celebrating fellow Canadian musicians and emerging talent.
Dominique Fils-Aimé takes the reins as this month’s EQUAL Canada ambassador. The Montreal-based singer-songwriter and JUNO Award winner has earned widespread acclaim for her rich blend of jazz, soul and blues, creating music that explores identity, resilience and collective healing.
