Jessie Reyez opens a powerful new chapter today with the release of her fourth studio album, ‘A Little Vengeance’. Arriving via FMLY and Island Records, the project finds the Grammy-nominated and 6-time JUNO Award winner diving deep into stories of love, heartbreak, self-discovery and emotional reckoning. Listen here.
Built around three interludes that guide listeners through distinct emotional phases, the album balances explosive moments with intimate reflection. Across the tracklist, Reyez channels raw honesty into songs that examine relationships, healing and the lessons left behind.
The album features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Ty Dolla $ign, Muni Long, D Smoke, Lekan and RAAHiiM, alongside a Bob Marley sample woven into the project. Together, the guests add new dimensions to an album that remains firmly rooted in Reyez’s unmistakable voice and songwriting.
Reyez shared a characteristically candid message about the album’s themes, encouraging listeners to properly process heartbreak rather than revisit relationships that belong in the past. It’s the kind of unfiltered honesty that has become one of her defining strengths as a songwriter and storyteller.
Today also marks another major moment in Reyez’s career as she performs in her hometown of Toronto as part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony. Joining Palestinian singer-songwriter Elyanna, she’ll perform their collaborative anthem “Illuminate” for a global audience as Canada welcomes the world.
The release follows a remarkable run of music that offered listeners a preview of the album’s emotional range. Recent singles including “UR HEARTBEAT (WHO DO U THINK ABOUT AT 2AM?)”, “AIN’T U TIRED?” featuring Muni Long, and “N.Y.F.F.” showcased the many sides of Reyez’s songwriting, from vulnerability and longing to sharp-edged reflection.
Beyond the music, Reyez is launching the Jessie Reyez Fund in partnership with PLUS1. The initiative aims to create greater access to opportunities within the music industry for women and historically underrepresented communities while supporting programs focused on education, wellbeing and cultural connection.
The foundation for this work is already underway. Early initiatives have included tour and partnership activations, including a collaboration with Nando’s that helped provide 500 donated meals. The fund expands Reyez’s commitment to using music as a tool for community-building and meaningful change.
The release also builds on the momentum of ‘$TILL PAID’, her March EP celebrating the success of her acclaimed 2025 album ‘PAID IN MEMORIES’. That project featured a remix with Stormzy and followed a sold-out world tour and the release of the second volume of her bestselling poetry series, ‘Words of A Goat Princess II: The People’s Purge’.
With ‘A Little Vengeance’, Reyez continues to push her artistry forward while staying true to the fearless storytelling that has made her one of Canada’s most influential contemporary voices. The album moves confidently between genres, emotions and experiences, delivering some of her most compelling work to date.
