Nothing More Sparks Debate with New AI-Assisted Video for “EXISTENTIAL DREAD”

Boundary pushing band Nothing More has released their thought provoking new video for the single “EXISTENTIAL DREAD,” which is available everywhere out now on Better Noise Music’s YouTube page. The band partnered with AI director and editor Jurassic Smoothie for the video, a choice that sparked an immediate online debate about the use of AI to create music videos and art after only a teaser trailer was released. Singer Jonny Hawkins personally addressed the controversy, speaking with RockFeed and commenting on the band’s Instagram to share his perspective on the medium.

Hawkins clarified the band’s artistic control, stating: “AI didn’t make a video for us. We hired an artist, I plotted out a vision, theme and visuals. Then that artist used AI to start generating images that he edited together through multiple versions with notes… and then tweaked that into a visual experience for the viewer.” He added, “There is a huge difference between letting a machine create something and using a machine to create something. Nine Inch Nails is a perfect example of a prolific artist who used machines to sculpt their sound. Biohazard Reunites Original Lineup for First Album in a Decade, ‘Divided We Fall’

The legendary New York hardcore outfit Biohazard has officially released ‘Divided We Fall’, their first studio album in over a decade, which is out now via BLKIIBLK. The record reunites the band’s original lineup, delivering a blistering statement of unity amid chaos, blending their unmistakable fusion of hardcore, metal, and streetwise groove with a sharpened edge for a fractured modern world. Guitarist Billy Graziadei commented on the album’s lead single, “Eyes On Six,” saying, “Forged in fire, that strength and determination and grit and heart is the underlying credo of Biohazard. Knock us down nine times, we’ll get up a tenth time and push forward, no matter what! No matter where you come from, play your cards right, know who your friends are, and keep your circle tight!”

The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by the Grammy Award winning Matt Hyde, known for his work with bands like Slayer and Hatebreed. Recording sessions took place at Shorefire Recording Studios in Long Branch, New Jersey, and The Hydeaway in Van Nuys, California, capturing the band at their most raw, relentless, and unifying. Lead guitarist Bobby Hambel shared his excitement for the project, stating, “We are really excited to finally have the classic Biohazard lineup back together in the studio. This album has been a long time coming, and the record is straight from our hearts. We can’t wait for everybody to hear it, and to head out and play these new songs live.”

Pop Punk Powerhouse Action/Adventure’s Release Ambitious Album ‘Ever After’

Pop punk powerhouse Action/Adventure has officially released their most ambitious record yet, ‘Ever After’, which is out now via Pure Noise Records. This brand new album marks a bold chapter for the Chicago based band, pairing their signature high energy riffs and soaring hooks with deeper storytelling, unapologetic emotion, and the urgency fans have come to expect. To celebrate the release, the group also unveiled their new single “URL,” accompanied by the official music video, which explores the pain of unrequited love. Vocalist Blake Evaristo spoke on the track, saying, “Even though you’re living the life you wanted, you find yourself wondering what the other life could’ve been.”

The album, produced by Alan Day of Four Year Strong at Ghost Hit Studio, builds on the foundation of their breakthrough debut, ‘Imposter Syndrome’. Editors front person Tom Smith has officially announced details for his debut solo album, ‘There Is Nothing In The Dark Which Isn’t There In The Light’, which is set for release on December 5th via Play It Again Sam. After two successful decades fronting Editors and releasing two albums with Smith & Burrows, Smith is finally stepping into solo territory, motivated by a desire to reconnect with the raw, acoustic beginnings of his songwriting. Spike Jones’ ‘A Spooktacular In Screaming Sound!’ Stereo Classic Is Out Now

Omnivore Recordings has officially released Spike Jones’ classic ‘Spike Jones In Stereo: A Spooktacular In Screaming Sound!’, which is out now on CD and slime green vinyl. Originally issued in 1959 on Warner Bros. Records, this landmark stereo recording returns to physical formats for the first time in nearly fifty years, fully remastered and presented with new liner notes. Spike Jones’ endlessly inventive recordings had long made an art out of musical insanity, incorporating car horns, gunshots, burps, and all manner of sound effects. By 1959, monsters were big Hollywood business, and Jones, alongside longtime arranger Carl Brandt, created an astounding album that pushed the then new format of stereo audio separation to its absolute limits.

The album is credited to Spike Jones And The Band That Plays For Fun, and the vocals were handled by a host of legendary performers. Paul Frees was featured, known as the “voice” of Boris Badenov and Disneyland’s unseen Ghost Host at The Haunted Mansion. Also contributing was Thurl Ravenscroft, famous as Tony The Tiger and for singing the iconic “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” ‘Spike Jones In Stereo’ became a classic, earning appreciation from Dr. Demento and “Weird Al” Yankovic, who said, “If I’ve got any kind of goal, it’s to aspire to be in this generation what Spike was in his.” The new liners, written by Joe Marchese, feature new interviews with Spike’s children, Linda Lee Jones and Spike Jones, Jr., who believe the album’s reissue will be enjoyed by new audiences.
