A Comprehensive Guide to Invisalign

0

Invisalign has become the go-to procedure in recent times when it comes to perfecting your smile. As the orthodontic industry has progressed considerably over the years, Invisalign has been introduced as an alternative to traditional braces. As the name suggests, Invisalign consists of invisible aligners. They are made using a thin sheet of acrylics that is not easily visible to the naked eye. Contrary to what you might be misled into believing, Invisalign is extremely effective.

How Does Invisalign Work?

The Invisalign process includes the use of removable aligners. These aligners are invisible and provide amazing convenience. You do not need to worry about any pain as the process is virtually pain-free. However, you should keep in mind that you would experience some inconvenience initially. As you consistently wear Invisalign, your teeth would be straightened and aligned. Thus, your smile would be restored.

A flexible acrylic-based plastic is used to create the aligners that are customized at each stage to achieve the desired look. The acrylic is gluten, latex, BPS, and BPA free. The FDA has approved Invisalign. A great thing about Invisalign is that you get to discuss your preference with the dentist.

Digital Mapping

To create the aligners, digital mapping is done. The process involves the application and curation of aligners. Through digital mapping, an in-depth study of your teeth would be done. It would be customized just for you. The orthodontic sites within the mouth will be studied by the dentist to tailor the Invisalign.

Once digital mapping has been completed, a fully customized Invisalign would be produced for the prescribed time. As Invisalign aligners are difficult to distinguish with our naked eye, nobody would be able to notice that you are wearing them unlike metal braces which are easily visible. Moreover, you can simply take off the aligners to clean your teeth, drink, and eat. Thus, Invisalign is the best option amongst kids and teens that are worried about getting bullied.

Treatment Process

The treatment begins during the initial appointment where you would meet with the dentist for a consultation. The dentist would map out your teeth using 3D technology. Some x-rays would also be run to get a better idea of your teeth. It is followed by taking an impression of your teeth. This enables your dentist to easily map the Invisalign and customize the aligners as per your requirements. After the process is done, the dentist will contact you for a fitting. The aligners will be changed regularly.

How Long Does The Invisalign Process Last?

After the digital mapping is done, you will need to wear the aligners for about 12 to 18 months. The procedure varies from individual to individual. The aligners have to be worn for 20 to 22 hours every day. You can take them off to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As your teeth get aligned, you would not need to wear aligners any longer.

Benefits of Invisalign

Ever since Invisalign was first introduced, it has taken the world by a storm. According to the website of this expert New York Invisalign dentist, Invisalign can correct problems like spacing between teeth, overcrowding, crossbite, overbite, underbite and crooked teeth. There are many advantages of Invisalign as mentioned below.

  1. Less Consultation and Easier to Map

One of the best things about Invisalign is that it requires less consultation and is a lot easier to map. It requires minimum office visits. This makes it the perfect option for those of you that do not have the time to visit the dentist as often. Furthermore, the aligners would be completely tailored to your needs.

  1. Comfort

Another reason why Invisalign is amazing is because it provides outstanding comfort. The aligners are very comfortable to wear unlike metal braces. This means that you should have no problem wearing the aligners for 20 to 22 hours every day. Besides, there would be fewer chances of your mouth getting injured.

  1. Easy to Wear and Remove

Invisalign is designed for ease of use and removal. You should have no trouble wearing the aligners and taking them off. Thus, you can take off the aligners to drink, eat, floss, and brush.

  1. Completely Invisible

An obvious benefit of Invisalign aligners is that they are not visible to the naked eye. This makes it the ideal option for you if you are worried about anyone making fun of you.

Conclusion

Invisalign has revolutionized the way teeth are aligned. The aligners provide better wear ability, versatility, and comfort. They are a lot easier to wear and use as compared to metal braces. Hence, you should schedule an appointment with a dentist to achieve that perfect smile.

SiriusXM Reveals ‘Future Five for 2021’ and Welcomes ‘The Class of 2020’ in Music

0

The music discovery and curation team at SiriusXM announced today its “Future Five” artists for 2021 and the “Class of 2020” during this unique and unparalleled year in music.

“In this year of dramatic change and challenges, SiriusXM has remained committed to being the premier music discovery platform for artists and listeners alike,” said Steve Blatter, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Music Programming, SiriusXM. “Our listeners depend on us to consistently introduce them to music from new and developing artists across all genres, and once again our team delivered.  We are proud to present our ‘Class of 2020’ and the ‘Future Five of 2021.'”

The ‘Future Five for 2021’ consists of five new artists that SiriusXM predicts will break through in 2021. Year after year SiriusXM’s Future Five picks have proven to be successful and are often, if not always, artists that SiriusXM is first to champion.  Future Five selections for 2020 included major breakthrough success stories from Doja Cat, Gabby Barrett, and Roddy Rich.

SiriusXM’s ‘Future Five for 2021’:

Don Toliver
Drew Parker

Don Toliver: The Houston rapper’s now Gold-certified hit “After Party” was first played on SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation on May 1, 2020, in which the channel continues to lead the nation on plays to date.   As an early champion, Hip Hop Nation remains one of the leaders on the song, which peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top 100 and No. 6 on Forbes’ ‘Biggest songs of the Week’ list. Hip Hop Nation continues to support Toliver as a featured artist on Internet Money’s “Lemonade.”

Drew Parker:  Selected as a prestigious “Highway Find,” the highly sought-after spotlight platform on SiriusXM’s Highway channel, Parker’s “While You’re Gone” was first played by the channel as an unsigned artist on October 5, 2020. Past “Highway Find” artists include Luke CombsSam HuntAshley McBrydeCarly PearceChase RiceCole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Maddie and Tae, and Maren Morris.

Fousheé:  SiriusXM’s The Heat became the first broadcast outlet to play “Deep End,” in October of 2020 and continues leads the nation in airplay.  Foushee’s music is currently being supported on several SiriusXM channels across multiple genres including SiriusXM Hits 1, Alt Nation, Chill, Heart & Soul and Coffee House.

Royal & The Serpent:   SiriusXM’s Alt Nation was the first outlet in the country to play “Overwhelmed” back in July of 2020 as part of the channel’s “Critical Cut” program. The artist was also a part of  SiriusXM’s Next Wave Virtual Concert Series last week.  “Overwhelmed” has now been streamed over 32 million times and is currently in the top 10 on the Alternative radio charts.

Zero 9:36:  The rapper, singer and musician’s aggressive style and angry world view helped him become a cult figure in the Philadelphia Hip-Hop community and rise to an alternative artist with a nationwide following by the age of 22.  Now at 25, his music reflects the combination of rap and singing as guitars and electronics take on a bigger place in his arrangements.  SiriusXM’s Octane was the first radio outlet to play “Adrenaline” as an Octane “Accelerator” on November 11, 2020, which has led to increased streaming numbers and still no other radio support.

The ‘Class of 2020’ is composed of artists that SiriusXM was first to commit airplay and playlist support and subsequently went on to have a major breakthrough year. SiriusXM’s commitment to these artists extends across multiple channels. This year’s class includes artists in the, pop, country, hip-hop, alternative, indie, and hard rock:

Alt Nation was the first broadcast outlet to play and add Ashe’s “Moral of The Story” at the top of 2020, within a week of its release, while SiriusXM Hits 1 followed the support as one of the first Top 40 radio channels to add the song, leading the nation in airplay. The song has since garnered over 170 million streams.

The SiriusXM Chill channel was the first broadcast outlet in the nation to play and commit airplay to Cannons’ “Fire For You” on May 12, 2020. That same month, Alt Nation became one of the first alternative radio outlets to feature the song on its new music show Advanced Placement. Both channels have led the nation in playing the record and the song has now entered the Top 10 on the Alternative radio chart.

Having supported indie-pop singer/songwriter Clairo since 2018, it’s no surprise SiriusXMU became the first broadcast outlet in the nation to play her song “Bags” from her debut full length album Immunity in 2019.  SiriusXMU’s support for Clairo’s song “Sofia” has led the nation in total airplay by more than double.  With over 93 million streams, the song just cracked the Top 20 on the Alternative chart.

SiriusXM’s BPM channel and Diplo’s Revolution were the first to support Joel Corry’s “Lonely” at the top of 2020. In July, both channels were again at the forefront in supporting Joel’s new music by playing  “Head & Heart” within 24 hours of the song’s release and have gone on to (along with SiriusXM’s Venus channel) lead the nation in support of the track, which has now accumulated over 64 million streams. The song went on to hold the No. 1 spot on BPM’s Top 20 Beats of The Week Countdown for eight  consecutive weeks. In August, all three channels again led the way in support of “Sorry” with Diplo’s Revolution being the first to play and continuing to lead the nation in support. All three songs have gone on to reach No. 1 on the Dance chart.

Country artist, Niko Moon has been supported by SiriusXM’s The Highway since 2019, when the channel became the first to play “Good Time” as a Highway Find.  To date, the channel leads the nation in total support  for the song, which has now garnered 125 million streams and is currently breaking into the Top 15 on the Country chart. The Highway’s support continued into 2020 by leading the nation on airplay for Moon’s songs “Paradise To Me,” and most recently “Dance With Me.”

After supporting NLE Choppa back in 2019 by playing “Camelot + Remix” more than double the amount of any other radio channel to date, SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation and The Heat became two of the first radio channels to play “Walk Em Down” f/ Roddy Rich earlier this year as well.  The song has gone on to reach the Top 10 on the Urban chart, while Hip Hop Nation also currently leads the nation in radio support for his latest single “Narrow Road” f/ Lil Baby.

In April of 2020, SiriusXMU world-debuted Phoebe Bridgers‘ song “Kyoto” prior to the drop of her now Grammy-nominated album, Punisher, which the channel also supported with an exclusive SiriusXMU Session. Additional support came from The Spectrum, Alt Nation and The Pulse over the summer of 2020. To date, Spectrum leads the nation in total airplay of “Kyoto,” and the song has now accumulated 13+ million on demand streams to date. Bridgers has since been nominated for four Grammy Awards in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Performance in 2021.

In February of 2020, Alt Nation became the first broadcast outlet to play “Deathbed” from Powfu, as part of the channel’s new music program, Advanced Placement. Soon after, the song was added to regular rotation on Alt Nation as a “Critical Cut.”  The record reached No. 2 on the Alternative chart in late June, landed in the top 10 on the Top 40 charts by August and has since accumulated over 360 million streams.

Alt Nation has supported Wallows since early 2018, and has continued that trend year after year, as the first radio outlet to support their song “Are You Bored Yet?” feat. Clairo  in March of 2019, which was prior to the release of their debut full length album Nothing Happens.  The song reached No. 2 on the Alternative chart in November of 2020 and has garnered 205 million streams to date.

Rounding out the ‘Class of 2020’ are the artists selected for SiriusXM’s ‘Future Five for 2020.’ All five artists had an undeniable breakthrough year in music.  Arizona Zervas first found early support of his now multi-platinum hit “Roxanne” on SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation, The Heat and Hits 1. The now Grammy Nominated singer/songwriter/rapper/producer, Doja Cat received her first national airplay for “Juicy” on SiriusXM’s Shade45, while The Heat, Venus and SiriusXM Hits 1 have all continued to support her music in 2020.  SiriusXM’s Octane was the first to play “Right Now” from rock-band Fire From the Gods, and their song went on to reach the Top 10 on the Active Rock charts.  For country artist Gabby Barrett, SiriusXM’s Highway was at the forefront of playing her breakthrough song “I Hope” when she was still an unsigned artist. The song went on to reach No. 1 on the Country chart, No. 4 on the Pop chart and has since accumulated over 525 million streams. Finally, Grammy Winner Roddy Rich was championed early by SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation, and continues to be supported by the channel as Rich heads into 2021 with eight Grammy Nominations and his breakthrough song “The Box” has garnered over 1.4 billion streams, the most of any song across all genres in 2020.

SiriusXM subscribers can listen to music from all these artists and more via SiriusXM radios on the SiriusXM app and at home with Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant or however they stream in their house.  Streaming access is included for most subscribers. Shortly afterward, SXM-7 deployed its solar arrays and began receiving and sending signals. Next, SXM-7 will begin firing its thrusters to commence its journey to its final geostationary orbit.

SXM-7 will provide continuous, reliable delivery of SiriusXM’s audio entertainment and information services to consumers in the United States, and will expand SiriusXM’s coverage area in Canada and the Caribbean, for years to come. SXM-7 will deliver the highest power density of any commercial satellite on-orbit, sending more than 8,000 watts of content to the continental U.S., CanadaPuerto Rico and the Caribbean, increasing the power and reach of the signal for SiriusXM.

“Maxar and SiriusXM have worked together for more than two decades to build world-class digital audio radio satellites that bring entertainment to almost every new car in America,” said Megan Fitzgerald, Maxar’s Senior Vice President of Space Programs Delivery. “We are proud to have built the latest addition to the SiriusXM constellation and look forward to the launch of their next Maxar-built satellite, SXM-8, next year.”

Barry Gibb’s “butterfly” Featuring Gillian Welch And David Rawlings Debuts Today

0

Legendary singer, songwriter and producer Barry Gibb’s “Butterfly” featuring special guests Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, is debuting today.

Originally recorded in 1967, “Butterfly” is the second unveiled from Gibb’s anticipated new album, GREENFIELDS: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1, which will be released January 8. Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, the record finds Gibb realizing his long-time dream of working with some of the artists he admires the most. In addition to Welch and Rawlings, the album features collaborations with Alison Krauss, Brandi Carlile, Dolly Parton, Jason Isbell, Jay Buchanan, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Olivia Newton-John, Sheryl Crow and Tommy Emmanuel.

Gibb continues to receive widespread attention ahead of the release, including an extensive profile at The New York Times, who praises, “Gibb’s voice on ‘Words of a Fool’ is strong but also spectral…Nearly six decades after he first sang on a record, it remains one of the most otherworldly instruments in popular music.” He was also recently featured as part of Rolling Stone’s “Musicians On Musicians” issue speaking with Jason Isbell, where the pair discussed each other’s work as well as collaborating on album track, “Words of a Fool.”

Additionally, The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart—a new documentary directed by Frank Marshall—will premiere on HBO tomorrow, December 12, at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT. Already receiving critical acclaim, The Hollywood Reporter calls it a “nostalgic tour back over the decades that shines a deserving spotlight on the group’s artistry.” Watch the trailer BELOW.

Of recording GREENFIELDS, Barry Gibb shares, “From the first day we stepped into RCA Studios in Nashville (the very place where Elvis, Willie, Waylon, Roy, the Everly Brothers and so many other legends made their magic) the album took on a life of its own. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to work with Dave and all the artists who stopped by. They were all incredibly generous with their time and talent. They inspired me more than words can express. I feel deep down that Maurice and Robin would have loved this album for different reasons. I wish we could have all been together to do it…but I think we were.”

Dave Cobb comments, “It was truly an honor to work with one of my heroes. The Bee Gees’ first album has always been a staple for me and it was surreal to get to witness the genius of Barry Gibb in the studio—he’s one of the greatest of all time!”

Vicky Cornell and her children, Toni and Christopher, on behalf of The Chris Cornell Estate released No One Sings Like You Anymore, Chris Cornell’s handpicked collection of 10 cover songs, which he personally selected and sequenced to celebrate artists and songs that inspired him.

Recorded by Chris in 2016, the album, which is his last fully completed studio album, features his renditions of John Lennon’s “Watching The Wheels,” Ghostland Observatory’s “Sad Sad City,” Harry Nilsson’s “Jump Into The Fire,” Carl Hall’s “You Don’t Know Nothing About Love,” Electric Light Orchestra’s “Showdown,” Terry Reid’s “To Be Treated Rite”, Lorraine Ellison’s “Stay With Me Baby” (originally released for HBO’s show Vinyl), “Get It While You Can,” popularized by Janis Joplin, and a new studio recording of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” written by Prince. Chris’ cover of Gun’s & Roses “Patience,” which was released on his birthday this year, and earned him his first solo Billboard Number 1 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart, is also included on the album.

All instruments on No One Sings Like You Anymore were played by Chris Cornell and Brendan O’Brien, who also produced & mixed the album. In time for the holiday’s, the album is a special gift for Chris’ fans and long term supporters, but the Cornell family hopes that new fans and listeners will be inspired by Chris’ powerful and unique voice in these stunning renditions.

“This album is so special because it is a complete work of art that Chris created from start to finish. His choice of covers provides a personal look into his favorite artists and the songs that touched him. He couldn’t wait to release it. This moment is bittersweet because he should be here doing it himself, but it is with both heartache and joy that we share this special album,” said Vicky Cornell. “All of us could use his voice to help heal and lift us this year, especially during the holiday season. I am so proud of him and this stunning record, which to me illustrates why he will always be beloved, honored, and one the greatest voices of our time,” she added.

“When my dad was making this album, it was so fun – I remember waking up in the morning, having breakfast with him and going with him into the studio. We would take our piano lessons there, and Christopher would play video games with Brendan and my dad. We got to experience so much with him and have so many amazing memories. I’m really happy to be sharing this album. We love you, daddy,” shared Toni Cornell.

With Christopher Cornell adding, “We had so much fun in the studio during this time, and on days off we’d go to Tree People and hike around there. We would also play hide and go seek inside the Beverly Hills Hotel and when security would show up they would think it was so funny that my dad was running through fire escapes with us. For me this album represents who my dad was. I’m really proud of him and his work. I hope you all love this record as much as I do.”

No One Sings Like You Anymore is available for physical/vinyl pre-order today, here. The physical album will be released on March 19th.

Joss Stone Returns With Uplifting Soulful Tune “Walk With Me”

0

Platinum-selling and Grammy-winning UK soul singer/songwriter Joss Stone releases an empowering new gospel-tinged anthem “Walk With Me on December 11 via S-Curve Records/BMG. The song speaks to a different kind of love, one of love for thy neighbors, even complete strangers and anyone seeking togetherness at this time of uncertainty and ignites just in time to warm the souls and unite festive folks this holiday season after a tumultuous and divisive year.

“The song started out as a romantic song asking someone to walk through life with you, kind of like a wedding song if you will,” says Stone. “When we got to working on it so much had happened that I couldn’t take my mind off. With the pandemic and what happened with George Floyd that unfortunately sparked so much violence it got me thinking that the problem is mostly with the us and them attitude. That is the biggest killer – separation and judgement. Everyone needs to come together in order to survive this life in peace. Without togetherness nothing is OK”.

Co-written and co-produced by Jonathan Shorten who has worked with Stone since 2004’s platinum-selling Mind Body & Soul album, “Walk With Me” embraces the voices of Legato Vocal Ensemble in a heart-warming round of harmony and consolation.

Originally penned as a love song, Stone did a rewrite in light of recent events over the year.

“So I rewrote the song and I hope people take it in the way it was intended,” says Stone. “When I speak of the ‘heroes’, I am speaking of the brave doctors and nurses that have given so much of their lives to help others have one. And when I speak of ‘our brothers and sisters that cannot breathe’, it is a reference to George Floyd and the many others who have suffered injustice and suffocation in any way, be that physical or emotional. When I say ‘so take a hand’, I mean any hand, love everyone, we are in this life together. The only way things will get better is if we throw the divides and lines away and love each other regardless of colour or job or health. The fix is not to make those lines thicker. Let’s walk together. Through it all”.

The accompanying music video for “Walk With Me” also premieres today. Joss’ glorious performance is visualized in the headlines of a newspaper among all the overwhelming news around the world.

The often-barefoot performer has long portrayed an element of freedom and peace and Joss Stone further radiates these characteristics in her newly-launched “A Cuppa Happy” podcast which kicked off in July 2020. Stone’s feel-good show goes beyond her life as an entertainer and digs deep into various perspectives with guests that range from British comedian Bill Bailey to sex therapist Laura Berman to recording artists Shaggy and Boy George.

The first-time mom-to-be is also taking advantage of being at home cooking up something in the kitchen every Sunday on Facebook Live with “Cooking With Joss.” The raw and humorous interactive cooking show with recipes that include everything from garlic soup to British macadamia flapjacks to deviled eggs.

Joss Stone has been captivated by soul music since she was a little girl. As she moved through her early teens she intuitively honed her now trademark gravely-but-lustrous vocals by singing along to Aretha’s Franklin’s Greatest Hits. She began pursuing a singing career at thirteen, securing a record deal at 15, and recording her star-making Critically acclaimed debut album, The Soul Sessions, which was released in 2003. EMI/S-Curve Records.

Grammy and Brit award-winning Stone has since released 7 studio albums as she has continued in her journey of musical exploration.

At just 33 years old Stone has already enjoyed a long career. She has kept the company of musical royalty from the outset. Performing alongside many legendary artists such as James BrownHerbie HancockStevie WonderGladys Knight, Sting, Van Morrison and Melissa Etheridge amongst many others. She has collaborated with and contributed to albums for many of the world’s finest musicians, including Jeff BeckMick Jagger and Damien Marley.

Her love of music and fierce independence has led Stone to break away from the constraints of being tied to a label and has enabled her to explore many different genres of music. The joy that she finds in her chosen artistry has helped her to forge ahead, always looking to break new ground both musically and in her life.

In 2015 her album Water for Your Soul was released, achieving the spot of the number-one reggae album upon release and voted best reggae album by Billboard. Water For Your Soul is rooted in reggae and sprinkled with world influences. Clearly demonstrating how the teen soul prodigy has blossomed into an artist of style and substance. It is an album that pulses with liquid grooves and dazzles with the mix and match sonic adventure of hip-hop, shimmering with the exotic sounds of world music while delivering the emotional belt of RnB.

Joss has completed her most audacious project to date – The Total World Tour – in which she has performed a gig and collaborated with local artists in over 200 countries around the world.

It is evident that Stone is an independent soul. A true free spirit. Some may call her rebellious, others would say that she is a young woman who is completely confident in her chosen direction and is at peace with all that that means.
