0

Walk Off The Earth, the Juno Award winning indie-pop band known for their chart topping originals and unique covers of current hits, have announced their upcoming world tour and new full length album, to be released in the early summer of 2019. Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 14th. On the same day, the band will perform on GMA Day, airing across all of the United States.

Comprised of five multi instrumentalists (Sarah Blackwood, Gianni Luminati, Marshall, Joel Cassady, Beard Guy), Walk Off The Earth originally gained massive public attention when their interpretation of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” went viral on YouTube, garnering over 180 million views. Since then, the band has released a string of successful original songs including “Red Hands” (#1 at AAA), “Fire In My Soul” and “Rule The World” (both of which went platinum in Canada), sold out venues across the globe and collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the world (Keith Urban, Snoop Dogg & Steve Aoki). Walk Off The Earth have been nominated for two Juno Awards, winning one in 2016, and appeared on television shows such as Good Morning America and Ellen.

Walk Off The Earth’s most recent original single, “Fifth Avenue,” premiered on Billboard.com. The track was added to Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlists in over a dozen countries and garnered more than a million streams in the first week after the release. The band performed the single on both Good Day New York and a Paste Magazine & Daytrotter live session. Their rendition of “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5 won the 2018 “Best Cover” Streamy, beating out Greta Van Fleet, James Bay, Leroy Sanchez and Morgan Saint for the honor of receiving the award. Also in 2018, Walk Off The Earth released a holiday EP, Subscribe To The Holidays, which was the #1 charting independent release in Canada for the last week of November.

In 2019, Walk Off The Earth will embark on their biggest tour to date. They’re currently putting the finishing touches on their new full-length album, which will be released to coincide with the tour.

Barney Bentall And The Legendary Hearts Announce 30th Anniversary Dates

0

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of their debut, self-titled album, Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts have announced a few Canadian dates in 2019. The Juno Award-winning band, whose present-day lineup features Bentall and Legendary Hearts Mike Crozier, Jack Guppy, Colin Nairne, and Dave Reimer, released the platinum-selling album in June 1988. The eponymous album featured their chart-topping single “Something to Live For,” as well as radio playlist staples “Come Back to Me,” and “The House of Love (Is Haunted).”

Canadians first met Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts when MuchMusic embraced an indie music video for their heartland anthem “Something to Live For.” Soon after, they released a self-titled album via Epic Records, which sold over 100,000 units and earned the band a JUNO Award for Best New Group. As life began moving at a dizzying speed, Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts were swept into a circle of peers that included Blue Rodeo, k.d. lang, The Tragically Hip, Colin James, 54.40, and The Odds. Their career education took place in parlaying strong grassroots popularity into a national following, and by playing to crowds in seedy bars, concert halls, and arenas all over Canada. At its peak, the band was playing 200 shows a year, graduating from touring in a van, to a motorhome, to tour buses.

Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts released four further studio albums: The Lonely Avenue (1990), Ain’t Life Strange (1992), Gin Palace (1995), and Till Tomorrow (1997). A Greatest Hits 1986-1996 was released in 1996. Their body of work amassed twenty Top 30-charting radio singles and multiple platinum or gold-selling albums. Toward the close of the 1990s, the band members each transitioned into their own musical endeavors, including Bentall who went on to release four solo recordings. Since going their separate ways over 20 years ago, the band still performs live together on special occasions, and will take this 30th anniversary celebration to select cities throughout Canada in March 2019.

“Bohemian Rhapsody”, the iconic single by British rock legends Queen, has officially become the world’s most-streamed song from the 20th Century, as well as the most-streamed Classic Rock song of all time. UMG’s teams around the world have actively promoted discovery across streaming platforms, physical reissues, merchandise and experiential programs to introduce “Bohemian Rhapsody” to new fans more than 40 years after it was first recorded. Today, the original song and official video for “Bohemian Rhapsody”, taken from Queen’s seminal 1975 album A Night At The Opera, surpassed 1.6 billion streams globally across all major streaming services.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” is regularly cited as one of the greatest songs ever recorded. In 2004, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and Freddie Mercury’s vocal performance was named by the readers of Rolling Stone magazine as the best in rock history.

The instantly recognizable anthem also has been buoyed by the success of the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody, which tells the incredible story of the band’s storied career. In just five weeks on release the film has become the highest grossing music biopic in history.

How to Increase your Fan Page and Audience Engagement

0

In a technology and social media-driven lifestyle today, it is natural to rarely find people with no social media accounts. There is at least a Tom, Dick and Harry who have their social media accounts on any one of the long lists of social apps in existence today thanks to the smart gadgets. Even businesses have begun to maintain their pages on all forms of social media, the most common being Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube etc. Even celebrities across the globe make use of the social media platform to interact with their fans.

In that process comes the question of maintaining a separate page. The more popular the celebrity is, the more is a requirement to maintain a page. Most countries have a celebrity-crazy fandom culture in existence today. So how do you increase your fan page followers and reach a wider audience?

Facebook Ads

The simplest of all methods as it mostly involves running advertisements consistently against your target audience. However, it involves quite some amount of money to boost your fan page. If not, the best alternative would be the organic growth. Using Facebook Ads can bring out several advantages. It is one of the fastest ways to increase the traffic to your page, is quite measurable and can also increase your customer attribution rate.

Organic Growth

This method involves reaching out to your audience without using any paid method. Be it any inspirational images, humorous and engaging content that the audience can relate to. That is a ‘slow and steady step’ to build your fanbase. How much ever large the fanbase is, unless there’s some engaging content, no one’s ever going to respond to the posts. So, in short, the three main fundamentals of organic growth on Facebook include:

  • Consistency
  • Knowledge
  • Authenticity

Build your authority on the FB page by attracting the right audience on to your fan page. It would not be much of a Herculean task, given it’s a celebrity fan page. Hence not much influencing work is required.

Analysing your audience could also help to build a target persona specifically for the social media account. Each social media account tends to have a different kind of audience. Like, say, what is applicable to Facebook may not apply to Twitter or Instagram. Having a strong posting strategy could also help. It can comprise a mix of the following steps-

  • Posting often to engage with your audience
  • Variety of content is a must (try to include more photos, links to the blog posts)
  • Mixing up your content combination
  • Also including images that are viral on the social platform could also help

The above-mentioned tips brought to you by the https://www.theonlinecasino.co.uk/, which is one of the leading providers of casino games such as online Roulette, Blackjack, Poker games. Creating a good action-based incentives plan would certainly help you to reach out and effectively engage with your target audience.
