The Rolling Stones’ Tour of Europe ’76 scratched the surface of the band at the peak of it’s powers, debauchery, and demand. Tickets were in high demand; on 1 April the promoters announced that they had received more than one million applications in the mail for tickets for three shows at London’s Earls Court; subsequently three more dates were added there. The routing also saw two dates in Yugoslavia – the Stones’ second visit to a Communist country after 1967.
The tour began a few days after the April 23rd release of the group’s album Black and Blue, and is documented by the 1977 concert release Love You Live. Much of the material on that album is from the shows at Les Abattoirs in Paris from June 4 to June 7.

The Dead Weather have released the final of four technique and instrument-based videos. In this fourth episode, vocalist Alison Mosshart lets us in on her favorite way to come up with ideas for lyrics. The video, directed by Jack White, concludes with a full band live performance of the smoldering voodoo of “Lose the Right” from the new album Dodge And Burn.

Invisible Touch is the thirteenth studio album from the band, released in 1986. The album was written entirely through group improvisations; no material developed prior to recording was used. It spawned five top five singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Invisible Touch”, “Throwing It All Away”, “Land of Confusion”, “In Too Deep”, and “Tonight, Tonight, Tonight”, with “Invisible Touch” reaching the top spot, the only Genesis single to do so.

Hold On To My Heart was released as the third single from their 1991 album We Can’t Dance. The song proved to be successful in both the UK and the U.S. reaching number one on the US Adult contemporary charts, Canadian singles chart and number twelve on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, it also peaked number 16 on the official UK singles chart. It was the last Top 20 single for Genesis on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
