Lakelin Lemmings Debuts Official Video for “Parking Lot”

0

QHMG / Stone Country Records’ newest signing, girl-next-door singer-songwriter Lakelin Lemmings, has released her debut official music video, “Parking Lot.”

A laid-back modern country waltz offering the perfect groove for just hangin’ out with friends, “Parking Lot” is Lakelin’s loving tribute to a favorite meeting spot among small-town teenagers.

Directed by Sam Aldrich, the track’s official music video was filmed in the parking lot of Chester County High School in Lakelin’s hometown of Henderson in West Tennessee, a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Nashville. The video captures Lakelin and her friends tailgatin’ and talkin’ amidst the highs and lows of teenage life.

Penned by Lakelin alongside co-writer Tiffany Goss and the track’s producer, Ash Bowers, the official audio for “Parking Lot” was released on Sept. 5.

“It’s your friends you meet there who make it special, but I wanted to write a song that shows some love to country parking lots,” says Lakelin. “This is a song for all my friends, and anyone else our age, who knows what it’s like to live in a small town, to sometimes have nowhere better to hang out than the parking lot, and all the memories you make at that place.”

OLLIE Unveils Soul-Stirring New Ballad “Guardian Angel”

0

Tallinn-based alt-rock artist and producer OLLIE (Oliver Mazurtšak) returns with his most emotionally powerful release to date, “Guardian Angel,” a soul-stirring ballad that dives deep into the complexity of grief, memory, and hope. Known for his genre-fusing productions and raw honesty, OLLIE once again delivers a track that balances vulnerability and power, channelling soft rock, pop-rock, and alternative country into a cinematic, heartfelt anthem.

Coming off a wave of national recognition following his back-to-back second-place finishes in Estonia’s Eurovision pre-selections with “Venom” (2023) and “My Friend” (2024), OLLIE continues to strike a deep chord with fans both at home and abroad. With “Guardian Angel,” he reaches new emotional heights, offering listeners a mirror into their own experiences of love, loss, and the search for meaning.

Written in a single sitting while reflecting on his own grief and that of loved ones, “Guardian Angel” came together in a rare and inspired flow. From its haunting “huuuuu-huuuu” opening to its sweeping production, the track blends acoustic intimacy with soaring emotional peaks. Collaborations with bandmates Karl (drums) and Charles (keys) brought depth and groove to the arrangement, creating a warm, layered soundscape that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.

In classic OLLIE fashion, the production strikes a delicate balance between polished detail and raw authenticity. His signature blend of modern rock aesthetics with 2000s post-grunge, nu-metal, and alternative influences is here given a softer, more introspective twist, without losing the dynamic energy that defines his sound.

With “Guardian Angel,” OLLIE once again proves that his greatest strength lies in emotional honesty. The track is a timeless ballad for anyone who’s ever mourned, remembered, or hoped. A reminder that love doesn’t disappear, it transforms.

Sabaton Charge Forward With New Single and Video “Hordes Of Khan”

0

Sabaton have unveiled their second single and cinematic video, “Hordes Of Khan” from their forthcoming 11th studio album which is due out later this year, marking their Better Noise Music debut.

“The story behind our new single ‘Hordes Of Khan’ was a great one to take a deep dive into,” says singer Joakim Broden. “The song actually turned out to have way more depth than we expected. Genghis Khan wasn’t just a conqueror; he was a complex figure who left behind a huge legacy. He built the largest contiguous empire in history, stretching far beyond Mongolia, and his influence only grew after his death. Honestly, we couldn’t have picked a more suitable subject for the new direction SABATON is heading in! ‘Hordes of Khan’ hits hard, and it’s heavy for good reason. We know our fans crave heavy music, and we’re pumped to see how they react to this one. Hopefully, it’s a track they’ll be blasting on repeat!”

As bassist Par Sundstrom explains, “Joakim wanted to write a proper heavy metal song, and as we’ve seen from past releases, a lot of our fans appreciate pure f***ing heavy metal! That’s what ‘Hordes Of Khan’ is, and when you listen to it and close your eyes, you can imagine Genghis Khan on his horse, galloping to battle. Joakim composed the music and I actually wrote the lyrics for this one. When I started to work on them, I realized the melody was pretty complicated. Honestly, they were some of the most difficult lyrics that I’ve ever written. All in all, I’m very happy with the result, especially as Joakim has said that parts of the lyrics are some of SABATON’s best to date.”

The music video for “Hordes of Khan” is based in the future, in the year 2045. It was filmed in London at two different locations, the Natural History Museum and at Harrow School, and follows the main character–a young girl–who plays in a heavy metal band and loves Sabaton, but she won’t ever have the opportunity to see the band play because in 2039, all wars have miraculously ended. The world is now peaceful, and war is obsolete and therefore, so is Sabaton. The girl hears about a museum that’s featuring a Sabaton exhibit with all of the band members’ musical instruments. The girl and her band sneak into this museum to check it out. Once inside, they are greeted by a hologram telling the story about the musical instruments of SABATON that contain magic that brings history to life. The kids take no notice, pick up the instruments and begin to play.

Once the music begins, a ferocious Genghis Khan comes to life along with five other legendary soldiers played by the band members. Their mission is to stop Genghis before he escapes the museum to take over the world.

“When reflecting on all of the music videos we’ve ever created,” says Par Sundstrom, “our ‘Hordes of Khan’ music video was the most exciting in a lot of ways, even though ‘Christmas Truce’ is a much more emotional topic and story. I think this one specifically contains much more depth and action, and in combination with the locations and the actors, I’m confident that it will resonate with everyone!”

The children acting in the music video had their work cut out for them. They didn’t just want it to look like they were playing the instruments, they actually wanted the kids to really play the instruments and perform the song correctly. They thought it was going to be super challenging, but in this case they all learned the song by heart and performed it. “We were really proud of them all! What people see in the video is playback, but all of them know their parts and they can play ‘Hordes Of Khan’ for real,” Sundstrom continues. “We loved seeing that happen! Our ex-drummer Daniel Mullback’s son played the drums and acted in this music video as well, and he absolutely nailed it. Another amazing drummer in the making!”

Arily Michele Shines With Dreamy New Single “Komorebi”

0

Nashville-based, but originally from the Colorado Rocky Mountains, singer-songwriter Arily Michele just released her first song of the year, “Komorebi”. The song is the first taste of what’s to come on her upcoming album. Known for blending soulful vocals with dreamy synth soundscapes, Arily delivers a song that feels like floating in warm sunlight.

“Komorebi” takes its name from a Japanese word that describes sunlight shining through tree leaves. Arily says she’s always loved the idea and wanted to capture it in music, and with this song, she did just that.

The lyrics paint a picture of a Rocky Mountain sunset—golden light fading over places like Fairplay, Leadville, and Mount Elbert. It’s about slowing down, holding onto perfect moments, and finding beauty in the middle of life’s chaos. Lyrics like “The arrow of time is sluggish and heavy, but it still marches onwards” remind you that time moves on, even when you want it to stop.

At its core, the song is a love letter to nature, connection, and living in the moment. The repeated line “Stay wild, choose love, forever isn’t long enough” feels like both a personal mantra and an invitation to listeners.

With “Komorebi”, Arily Michele gives us three minutes of calm in a busy world.
