Rico Nasty Unleashes Fall ‘LETHAL’ Tour Across North America

0

Rico Nasty has announced a Fall North American headline tour in support of her new album LETHAL, out now via Fueled by Ramen (Atlantic Music Group). The tour kicks off on Sept 19th at Chicago’s Riot Fest and ends Nov 4th in Los Angeles at The Fonda. Tickets on-sale this Friday, June 13th at 10am local time.

Always the rap world’s biggest rock star, Rico Nasty is known for her own particular brand of rage-rap and for her outrageous on-stage, online, volume-up persona. But as she grew up, she started to feel trapped by the character she created.

LETHAL is a reckoning of who Rico is at 27 with the trap-pop teen persona she created more than a decade ago. Executive produced by GRAMMY nominated producer Imad Royal, the album still features all the hallmarks of a Rico Nasty record – female rage, heavy guitars, humor – but there are also notes of femininity, introspection and a more complex framing of all the angles of Rico – the performer, the mother, the adult.

Alongside the new record, Rico will make her acting debut in Apple TV+ & A24’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, created by David E. Kelley and based on the 2024 novel by Rufi Thorpe. Rico will star alongside Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfieffer, Nicole Kidman, Nick Offerman, Lindsey Normington & more.

Briston Maroney Drops Psychedelic “Tomatoes” Video From Explosive New Album ‘JIMMY’

1

Briston Maroney releases the music video for the fan-favorite song “Tomatoes.” From his newest album JIMMY, released last month, “Tomatoes” maintains an unconventional, gritty sound that explores the psyche of adrift young adults.

The video encapsulates a psychedelic take on the dazed and confused purgatory that is post-adolescent adulthood. The video was directed by Amalia Irons, who Maroney collaborated with for his “Better Than You” music video, the album’s current focus track.

JIMMY is the new record from Maroney — a guitar-heavy, explosive and engrossing project released last month via Atlantic Records. Earlier this year, Maroney teased the record with his first single “Real Good Swimmer,” a masterful and magnetic rock song over which Maroney presents a snapshot of the people who he grew up knowing. He followed the track with a double release of “Tomatoes” and “Bullsh*t,” two songs depicting two worlds at work.

Maroney currently boasts a catalog with over 500 million streams and over 2 million monthly listeners. He is currently on tour with Peach Pit for their co-headline Long Hair, Long Life Tour. Having already performed at New York’s Pier 17, and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, Maroney is on track to perform at the beloved Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre and the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston.

Christopher Cross’s “Ride Like The Wind” Gets First-Ever Music Video, Celebrating a Timeless Classic

0

Seeker Music, the songwriter-led music rights, publishing, and record company, is releasing a music video for Christopher Cross’s iconic debut single “Ride Like The WindtodayJune 10th. Originally released in 1979, just before the dawn of MTV, the platinum-selling track’s first official music video comesmore than four decades after it first hit the airwaves, affirming Cross’s place as a timeless artist whose work continues to resonate across generations. The project also marks the creation of Seeker’s first ever original music video for a track in their catalog.

Starring Rainey Qualley, Sadie Scheufler, Syd Kilroy, and Kandia Nzinga, directed by Andrea Calvetti, and commissioned by Seeker Music, the music video channels the gritty spirit of 1970s carsploitation cinema. Drawing inspiration from cult classics like Zabriskie Point, Vanishing Point, and Two-Lane Blacktop, it pays tribute to a genre of filmmaking where the road was both a battleground and a metaphor for conflict and resistance.

Director Andrea Calvetti said, “With ‘Ride Like the Wind’, the goal was simple: to have fun, lean into the pulse of the track, and unleash that wild ’70s energy — muscle cars tearing through the desert, chasing something just out of reach. What makes me most proud is how we reimagined the genre’s legacy. This time, it’s an all-female cast behind the wheel — not passengers in someone else’s story, but drivers of their own wild ride.”

The video arrives on the heels of Seeker’s expanded edition of Christopher Cross—the GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter’s self-titled 1979 debut album—which was released digitally on May 2, with a deluxe 2LP vinyl edition coming this summer. The reissue includes never-before-heard material such as early demos, Japan-only tracks, and fan treasures like “Mary Ann,” “Passengers,” and “Smiles of Angels,” all accompanied by new liner notes from acclaimed music journalist Gene Sculatti.

Since it was founded in 2020, Seeker Music has taken a unique approach to catalog acquisitions, identifying existing music with the most creative potential, and designing fresh strategies to get those songs heard in new and different ways, the way most companies only would for new artist campaigns. Since acquiring Christopher Cross’s catalog in 2023, Seeker has brought Cross’s catalog to all-time streaming highs through a series of creative campaigns, including the new music video, the Christopher Cross expanded edition, and the release of Cross’s original “Sailing” demo alongside a new version by Dutch pop artist Benny Sings. The company also recently acquired the publishing and production rights to the catalog of Michael Omartian, the hitmaker who produced Cross’s debut in 2024.

Talking Heads Release First-Ever “Psycho Killer” Music Video Starring Saoirse Ronan for 50th Anniversary

0

Talking Heads premiere the first ever music video for their classic song “Psycho Killer,” directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mike Mills (C’mon C’mon, Beginners) and starring Saoirse Ronan (Little Women, Lady Bird). The release also marks the 50th anniversary of the Talking Heads’ live debut at CBGB on June 5, 1975, when they opened for the Ramones.

The music video follows a young woman (Ronan) unraveling while stuck in her daily routine. She moves through the same unchanging settings—bedroom, kitchen, office, car—while becoming a different version of herself each day. Her outfits loop across the days in a steady visual rhythm, as her emotions veer wildly from content to furious to numb and spiral into sudden outbursts or haunted silences. Mills’ disquieting portrait of isolation echoes the tension at the heart of the song.

“This video makes the song better- We LOVE what this video is NOT – it’s not literal, creepy, bloody, physically violent or obvious.” – Talking Heads

This album literally changed what was possible in life for me, so to get to play with the subversive, uncategorizable beauty of Talking Heads, and to play with Saoirse who brought so much surprise, power, vulnerability and mischief to the party, it’s one of the best things I ever got to be a part of – still can’t believe it actually happened.” – Mike Mills

To simply be mentioned in the same breath as Talking Heads is hands down one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me, let alone making a video with the singular Mike Mills to accompany one of their most iconic songs – ‘Psycho Killer’. I have grown up listening to their music, so this truly is a childhood/teenage/lifelong dream come true. Mike, myself and the rest of the creative team had so much fun making this, and I can’t wait for Talking Heads fans to see it!” – Saoirse Ronan

First released in 1977, “Psycho Killer” introduced Talking Heads to a wider audience and was the band’s first charting single. It remains a cornerstone of their legacy and is featured in countless films and playlists.

The video arrives amid the quartet’s yearlong 50th anniversary celebration. Formed in 1975, Talking Heads became one of the most influential bands to emerge from New York’s CBGB scene. A run of groundbreaking albums charted their evolution—from art-school minimalism into bold sonic and rhythmic experimentation—making them unlikely pop stars along the way. Critically and commercially successful, the band—Tina Weymouth, David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison—helped shape the language of modern music and expanded the creative possibilities of the music video.

The Evolution of AI Writing: Making Technology More Human

0

By Mitch Rice

In today’s digital landscape, artificial intelligence has revolutionized content creation, but the challenge lies in bridging the gap between machine-generated text and authentic human communication. As AI-generated content becomes increasingly prevalent across industries, the need to humanize ai text has emerged as a critical factor in maintaining genuine connections with audiences and ensuring content resonates on a personal level.

The Rise of AI in Content Creation

Artificial intelligence has transformed how we approach writing and content generation. From marketing copy to technical documentation, AI tools can produce vast amounts of text in seconds. This technological advancement has enabled businesses to scale their content production, meet tight deadlines, and maintain consistent output across multiple platforms.

However, the rapid adoption of AI writing tools has revealed an important truth: while machines excel at generating grammatically correct and informative content, they often lack the nuanced understanding of human emotion, context, and cultural subtleties that make writing truly engaging.

Understanding the Human Touch in Writing

Human writing possesses unique qualities that make it compelling and relatable. These include:

Emotional Intelligence: Human writers naturally incorporate empathy, understanding their audience’s feelings, concerns, and motivations. This emotional awareness allows them to craft messages that resonate deeply with readers.

Personal Experience: Authentic writing often draws from personal experiences, anecdotes, and real-world observations that add credibility and relatability to the content.

Cultural Sensitivity: Human writers understand cultural nuances, idioms, and references that may not translate effectively through AI generation alone.

Intuitive Flow: Experienced writers develop an intuitive sense of rhythm, pacing, and structure that creates a natural reading experience.

The Importance of Humanizing AI-Generated Content

While AI writing tools offer remarkable efficiency and consistency, raw AI output often exhibits certain characteristics that can feel mechanical or detached. These may include repetitive phrasing patterns, lack of personality, or missing the subtle touches that make content feel authentic and engaging.

Humanizing AI-generated content involves refining and enhancing machine-produced text to incorporate human-like qualities. This process ensures that the final output maintains the efficiency benefits of AI while capturing the warmth, personality, and authenticity that audiences expect from quality content.

Key Strategies for Creating More Human-Like Content

1. Inject Personality and Voice

Every piece of content should have a distinct voice that reflects the brand or individual behind it. This involves using conversational language, incorporating brand-specific terminology, and maintaining consistency in tone across all communications.

2. Add Contextual Relevance

Human readers appreciate content that acknowledges current events, seasonal considerations, or industry-specific trends. Adding these contextual elements makes content feel timely and relevant rather than generic.

3. Include Real-World Examples

Concrete examples, case studies, and practical applications help readers connect abstract concepts to their own experiences. These additions make content more actionable and memorable.

4. Vary Sentence Structure and Length

Human writing naturally varies in rhythm and structure. Mixing short, punchy sentences with longer, more complex ones creates a more engaging reading experience that feels less robotic.

5. Address Reader Concerns Directly

Anticipating and addressing common questions or concerns shows empathy and understanding of the audience’s perspective. This approach creates a sense of dialogue rather than one-way communication.

The Benefits of Humanized Content

When AI-generated content is properly humanized, it delivers several significant advantages:

Enhanced Engagement: Content that feels more human naturally generates higher engagement rates, including longer reading times, more shares, and increased interaction.

Improved Trust: Audiences are more likely to trust content that feels authentic and relatable, leading to stronger brand relationships and customer loyalty.

Better Conversion Rates: Humanized content often performs better in terms of driving desired actions, whether that’s making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or engaging with a brand.

Broader Accessibility: Content that uses natural, conversational language is more accessible to diverse audiences, including those who may not be experts in a particular subject matter.

Best Practices for Implementation

Successfully humanizing AI content requires a systematic approach that balances efficiency with authenticity. This involves establishing clear guidelines for voice and tone, creating templates that incorporate human elements, and developing review processes that ensure quality and consistency.

Regular analysis of content performance can help identify which humanization techniques resonate most with specific audiences, allowing for continuous refinement and improvement of the process.

The Future of Human-AI Collaboration

The relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence continues to evolve. Rather than replacing human writers, AI tools are becoming sophisticated collaborators that handle routine tasks while humans focus on strategy, creativity, and relationship-building.

This collaboration model allows content creators to leverage the speed and consistency of AI while maintaining the emotional intelligence and cultural awareness that only humans can provide. The result is content that combines the best of both worlds: efficiency and authenticity.

Conclusion

The future of content creation lies not in choosing between human or artificial intelligence, but in finding the perfect balance between technological efficiency and human authenticity. By focusing on humanizing AI-generated content, businesses and content creators can harness the power of automation while maintaining the personal connections that drive meaningful engagement.

As AI technology continues to advance, the ability to create content that feels genuinely human will become an increasingly valuable skill. Those who master this balance will be well-positioned to succeed in an increasingly digital world where authentic communication remains the key to building lasting relationships with audiences.

The evolution of AI writing represents an opportunity to enhance human creativity rather than replace it, creating new possibilities for content that is both efficient to produce and genuinely compelling to read.

Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers Celebrate 20 Years with New Album ‘Lovin’, Fightin’, Losin’ Sleep’

0

Celebrating two decades of authentic, heart-driven bluegrass, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers are set to release their 12th career album, Lovin’, Fightin’, Losin’ Sleep, on June 27 via Billy Blue Records. The 10-track collection showcases the band’s harmonic mastery with three lead vocalists on a fresh batch of songs from revered writers.

The album’s title is drawn from the opening track and the previously released first single, “Time Adds Up (If You’re Lucky),” a fitting summation of the band’s journey and the timeless themes woven throughout the record. “I hope the title of our latest album is intriguing,” says bandleader Joe Mullins. “I think it’s entertaining! Each of the subjects has been sung about for decades, and believe it or not, new songs are always coming our way about some of these familiar topics. We didn’t plan the rest of the album’s material because of that line, but when we analyzed the content, it was perfect.”

The band has always enjoyed songs with a message and “The Good Old Days” fits well within that theme. Written by Flatt Lonesome’s Kelsi Harrigill and her father Dolton Robertson, Adam McIntosh poured his heart into the lyrics, and the harmony vocals are made even sweeter with the addition of Harrigill. The toe-tapping tribute to the working man, “Black and Decker Blues,” penned by Larry Cordle and Jim Rushing, is a masterclass in well-written, timeless bluegrass. Band member Chris Davis, who previously worked with Cordle, delivers a standout lead vocal.

Fiddler Jason Barie brings a defining sound to the band, especially on Conrad Fisher’s “The Bluebirds Are Singing For Me,” an intimate arrangement paired only with mandolin by Davis. Another standout is the reflective “Something To Look Forward To,” written by Ronnie Bowman and Billy Strings, exploring the life of a traveling musician—territory the Radio Ramblers know well.

Mullins also contributes original material including the instrumental “Cancellation Blues,” inspired by pandemic-era tour cancellations, and the tongue-in-cheek “Circling The Drain,” a light-hearted look at a man being kicked to the curb co-written with Jerry Salley.

Ahead of the full album, the band is showing a completely different side to their multi-faceted vocals with a spirited rendition of “End Of The Line.” Originally recorded by supergroup The Traveling Wilburys, the Radio Ramblers’ take is a celebration of vocal harmony and rhythmic energy. “’End of the Line’ was so much fun to arrange and record,” says Mullins. “Each Rambler can sing most any harmony part so, much like the originators of the song, four of us take turns delivering the verses, and Adam, Chris, and I all take turns singing three different harmony parts. The contagious beat of the song, supported by Ben Isaacs (bass) and Mike Rogers (bluegrass drums), keeps us all focused and energized. The lyrics are positive and inspiring—heavy on the lovin’ and not dwelling so much on fightin’ or losin’ sleep.”
