Singer/Songwriter Tate Irving Tells an Up-Tempo Tale of Hardship & Growth in “She Said”

Canadian singer/songwriter Tate Irving electrifies with his signature pop-punk sound to tell a tale filled with hardship and personal growth with his catchy new single “She Said.”

“She Said” is an upbeat melody brimming with a charm that showcases Irving’s penchant for storytelling while demonstrating his life-long commitment to music through his abilities as a multi-instrumentalist. With the benefit of hindsight, Irving draws on his own experiences and setbacks to convey his uplifting message of self-acceptance in an authentic way.

Irving wrote “She Said” at 20-years-old, initially framing it as a series of life lessons passed down by Irving’s mother. He started his first band in his teens called Muppet Nectar after picking the drums up from his uncle. After returning to Canada, Irving met another pivotal figure in his music career, audio engineer Ryan Frampton. This collaborative relationship would lead to a publishing deal with Bedroom Records that continues to strengthen over time. Sami Chohfi has lost his heart, and he’s asking her where she’s taking it on his new rock single, “Little One.”

The Extraordinary World singer/songwriter from Seattle mashes up rock and blues on his latest offering; an exciting sonic journey through love and love lost…

Expertly spinning the yarn on a familiar fable of falling for and failing to reckon when it falls apart, Chohfi’s exquisite lyrics, delivered in his signature rasp and undeniable singing prowess, bring a modern flair and uniqueness to the track’s unrequited love story.

“‘Little One’ was written while watching an episode of one of my favorite TV shows, AMC’s The Walking Dead,” Chohfi reveals. “I was watching a woman devour her lover and it got me thinking, ‘wow, this is a lot like a real relationship…’”

Marrying fact with fiction, Chohfi spins the tale on the ups and downs, craziness, and realities of relationships. The track features a variety of flair including ukulele, a 1960’s vintage piano solo, and a cameo by Kellii Scott (Failure) on percussion. “I wanted to write a catchy blues rock song with a unique vibe inspired by the one thing that inspires us to be at our most crazy, love,” Chohfi says.

Paired off with a visual component, the music video for “Little One” brings Chohfi’s story to life… Or, rather, ahem, to death.

Featuring an undead cast of characters for a Zombie-apocalypse-esque mini-drama, Chohfi’s unique double entendre is spelled out in his creativity to tell a tale. (‘Where are you going with my heart, Little One?’ he croons both figuratively, and in this video, literally.) Our protagonists make a quick stop at a gas station where the lead actress becomes infected. From there, her unassuming partner is seemingly ignorant of her venture into the land of the dead and, as she slowly descends into making him her next meal, the world around them is falling further into the hell flames of a full Zombie take-over.

“The intro features the voice of legendary radio personality, Marco Collins, over the car radio,” Chohfi explains. “We hired makeup artist Christina Kortum, who worked on the American TV show Grimm and is currently working on the new season of American Horror Story, to ensure the special FX makeup was top notch.

“The song and video tell the story of a romantic relationship that is not only infectious but consumingly toxic in all the right ways,” he continues. “Sometimes we find ourselves in love with the wrong person but, for some reason, we love the way it hurts and we keep coming back for more.”

“Little One” and “The Awakening” both serve as Sami Chohfi’s latest singles and, with the world slowly regaining its footing after a multi-year pandemic, the songwriter is venturing out on tour overseas this winter.

Alt-Rocker Sivan Langer Reveals Electrifying New Rock Anthem in “Three Monkey Song”

There’s no monkey business involved on Sivan Langer’s electrifying rock anthem, “Three Monkey Song”… The grunge rocker with a song on his soul bursts out of the jungle with this exciting up-tempo track.

“The song was written when I lived in Tel Aviv as a student, finishing my first degree, but I didn’t finish all the parts,” explains Langer. “The outro section was added just before the recording sessions started because the song was too short.

“I liked the idea of the ‘stops’,” he continues. “It’s unusual in music since it requires considerable coordination between the instruments.”

The result is a handcrafted, energized and supersized prose on annihilation told through Langer’s perspective of where he was emotionally during the creation of the track. The Blues-enthusiast borrows from his years as a musician influenced by an eclectic array of genres and artists to concoct a song that resonates on every level of the human condition. His music allures the Seattle grunge scene; his lyrics tackle societal woes and subjects.

Mixed by Darrell Thorp (Beck), and mastered by Gavin Lurrsen (Foo Fighters), Langer reveals “Three Monkey Song” was recorded in his home studio with the assistance of a friend and fellow drummer. “The track was recorded in my house,” Langer shares. “A friend of mine is a talented drummer and I tried to convince him to join. Eventually, he was more of an advisor.

“It wasn’t clear if we had a budget for a professional recording studio so we went for a home studio,” he continues. “The project studio route is much easier for computer-based music. For acoustic music, it was a pain, but you learn a lot, and there is some fun in the process (when you are not crying).

“Interestingly, each person involved in this track was at their project studio. That’s the way the whole album is recorded.”

“Three Monkey Song” nips, tugs, and pulls from the earliest sounds made famous by Nirvana and Pixies while masterfully maneuvering into modern rock. Langer’s agility to roll through lyrics that resonate, while laying down the hooks that acquiesce the listener from listening to experiencing, is no small feat. His delivery is flawless.

“Music is an emotional endeavor,” Langer says, adding that listeners are invited to join him on his musical journey.

Other than bringing in Colombian artist Rafa Soto to introduce some creative flair to the song’s second verse, D.K. LYONS relies on the same team to bring the magic into this remix — creating a ripe harvest of summertime roof parties and late sunsets throughout this awe-inspiring energetic production.
“The original lyrics were inspired by a rooftop party that I attended during the summer of 2020 as COVID restrictions lifted in NYC,” D.K. LYONS shares. “The song is a direct response to my previous lead single, ‘Danger’ — a song that represented the struggles in embracing an unknown future and identity questions.
“‘Summer Lullabies’ confronts these feelings head-on through self-discovery and an individual focus on growing in the moment and not lingering on the end result,” he adds.

When the Byrds released “Mr. Tambourine Man” in 1965, they introduced Bob Dylan’s songs to a new audience and launched a career that would make them among the most influential rock bands of all time. With their unmistakable harmonies and Roger McGuinn’s innovative 12-string Rickenbacker guitar, the Byrds never stopped experimenting. Paul McCartney Announces ‘McCartney I II III’ Box Set

Written, performed, and produced entirely by Paul McCartney, his three eponymous career-spanning solo albums (1970’s McCartney, 1980’s McCartney II, and 2020’s McCartney III) will now be packaged together and available in one special boxset for the first time.

McCartney I II III box set will be available in three different formats – Limited Edition Color Vinyl, Black Vinyl Edition, and CD – each including three special photo prints with notes from Paul about each album. The newly created boxset cover art and typography for the slipcase are by Ed Ruscha.

Bookending 50 years of unparalleled work, each album demonstrates Paul McCartney’s restless creativity and adventurous artistic spirit. McCartney, the Number One Album was Paul’s first solo album released in 1970 and features timeless tracks “Every Night” and “Junk,” along with the immortal classic “Maybe I’m Amazed.” This album saw a global music superstar pioneer a novel homespun approach to recording that would, in time, become a sought-after sound and the highly influential precursor to the “lo-fi” alternative genre.

Just as McCartney marked the end of an era with Paul’s first release after leaving the biggest band in history, Paul did it again in 1980, this time signaling the end of 70s rock giants Wings. Taking a fresh approach to things, Paul wrote, performed, and produced the avant-garde masterpiece McCartney II, which reached Number One in the UK, and Number 3 in the US, producing such classics as “Coming Up,” “Waterfalls,” and “Temporary Secretary.”

With McCartney III, Paul went back to basics again to create some of his most revealing work to date. Released in December 2020, just two years after Paul’s Billboard-topping Egypt Station album, “Rockdown,” saw Paul turn unexpected time on his hands into an opportunity to get into the studio on his own. An intimate and loose record featuring “Find My Way” and the now live favorite “Women and Wives,” McCartney III features Paul’s melodic gift at its forefront throughout. Upon release, McCartney III charted at Number One on the UK’s Official Album Charts and Number One on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart.

In an unrivaled career, Paul has always been willing to take risks and have fun along the way – his musical projects have included classical albums, electronic albums, ballet scores, writing for video games, and left-field collaborations — along the way, breaking chart records, box office records, winning countless awards and remaining one of the world’s most influential and revered artists of all time. McCartney, McCartney II, and McCartney III captured and documented landmark moments of his singular career, each offering a personal snapshot of a unique artist at a particular moment in time.
