6 Unexpected Ways Social Media Provokes Divorce

0

According to statistics, a third of all American marriages begin with a meeting on a social network or on an online dating site. But you know what’s most interesting? Most of them end in the same place where they started.

And this is just the case when the technologies that were invented in order to improve and facilitate our lives only create additional problems. According to the studies of psychologists, in the modern world, social networks are direct provocateurs of divorce. How does this happen? Find out about this in our article.

Endless Possibilities for Suspicion

Social networks are real klondike for finding personal information. And incredulous guys and girls deal with it like the best cyberpolice experts. Tracking likes, comments, visited pages in the history of a browser is a common thing.

In addition, on a social network, it is always easy to compare yourself with the ex of your husband or wife, start reflecting on why he or she have choosen him or her, feel a surge of desperate jealousy, and so on according to the list, right up to the scandal.

The Illusion of a Second Life in Which There Is No Room for a Partner

Studies tell us that some users set privacy settings in their posts so that they are not visible to the second half. Well-wishers, of course, will always help and send a screenshot, but the number of suspicions from this will only increase. Probably, the one who does this, really has something to hide, but in this case, social networks are a bad data warehouse.

When Social Networks Take a Lot of Time

Another reason for conflicts in the family is the time spent on social networks. Not surprisingly, one of the partners begins to feel abandoned, unnecessary, begins to get angry and jealous. And again, this raises the suspicion that there is someone more important and significant on the other side of the screen.

You Probably Have Something to Hide

Although it would seem, what information can be hidden from the person whom you have chosen as the companion of your life? However, everything is not so simple. Many users prefer to keep passwords from their social networks secret. A seemingly innocent request to let your profile be seen is perceived as a frank invasion of personal space. Even if there is really nothing to hide. As a result, there is a conflict and mutual suspicions of distrust and lies, which are only exacerbated.

The Opportunities for New Relationships Are Always Near

Do you remember where we started this article?  Social networks are a great place to meet a new person, start chatting, fall in love and begin filling divorce forms, adding your personal story to the statistics about which we spoke at the very beginning.

And those who in principle do not trust their partner, are not sure of his or her love and fidelity, are aware of this and are tormented by endless suspicions.

And now let’s add here all the factors that we talked about earlier, and we will get a holistic picture. Social networks are a bridge to a past life with all former relationships and a very easy path to new ones.

Everything You Post Will Be Used as a Statement in the Court

And here is another interesting fact. Divorce services lawyers adore social networks when they need to find evidence of the guilt of the other side of the process. Remember we talked that social media is an endless resource of personal information that users share voluntarily?

Therefore, a photograph on Facebook or Instagram can be excellent evidence of marital infidelity, rampant lifestyle, drug or alcohol addiction, domestic violence or any other family problems that caused the divorce. Miranda rule has no exceptions.

This is a very effective tactic for lawyers, and it really works in court. But if you do not have extra money to hire a specialist, you can start the divorce proceedings with a special service, for example, OnlineDivorcer, and save a lot at the initial stage.

Conclusion

Social networks certainly do not bring benefits to the relationship, but it turns out that the underlying reason is different. Social networks are an intermediary or an additional trigger.

But the root cause of divorce on the basis of social networks lies in internal distrust, lack of confidence in oneself and one’s soul mate. People who do not suffer from these qualities do not seek non-existent (or even existing) evidence of cheating or deceit. They just live in reality, and even if family life turns into a crash, calmly complete divorce online and begin a new stage.

Therefore, the only advice that can be given to those who suffer from distrust and suspicion when your other half enters the social network is to start with yourself and with your self-sufficiency.

Harsh Realities of Social Media Marketing

0

The moment social media started to gain popularity, it became the pacesetter for global communication by having users send messages, share music, photos, videos, and other content locally and globally. Since everyone turned spends so much of their time on social media instead of radio stations and televisions, business owners were encouraged to give their marketing strategies a new face.

Too often, social media marketing has been seen as the solution to the difficulties and challenges brands face frequently. You are told to post on social media for increased customer retention, to increase your customer base, or boost your business by 1000%. It sounds simple and juicy.

While social media isn’t something you should ignore, the truth is that it will not instantly or eventually help you solve your business problems. Don’t be disappointed. When you discover the truth about how social media helps grow your business, you will know the best way to use it.

Nowadays, it is almost impossible to measure the output and effectiveness of work done in SMM area. There exist several options to check the result of social media marketing specialist:

  • Do not forget to look up to coverage, user involvement, conversion of paid traffic into social. Moreover, remember to track ROI;
  • Keep in mind the growth rate of ER – engagement rate;
  • Bear in mind the place of social media marketing in the associated conversions. Thus, you will be able to assess employee payback.

This guide highlights 3 harsh realities of social media marketing for business and what to do about them.

Reality 1

No Matter How Awesome Your Content Is, Many People Won’t Pay Attention

Content creation consumes time. Even a short and simple tweet has to be carefully written before sharing it. Since digital marketers place a lot of emphasis on content because it is important for expanding your reach and it is good for SEO, one would think that good content would impress their online audience. However, this is not usually the case. You can spend the whole day creating a web course that you know will help your audience achieve their most challenging weight loss goals, and yet, sometimes, your audience will not give an impressive reaction.

If this happens, instead of focusing on those who are not acknowledging your awesome post, focus on those who are. Find out what they loved about the post and create more like that. Then for those who aren’t paying attention, try out different types of contents to see if they will like it. Just note that not everyone will like your content. Moreover, there are a lot of content services like Pro-Papers, which will help you to boost your content making it more engaging and useful.

Reality 2

Even If They Work For Other Businesses, Many Guaranteed Social Media Hacks Will Not Work For You.

You can read about social media hacks that are “guaranteed” to get you more audience, increase your reach, etc. While the tricks may actually work, what works for others may not work for you. Some of these tricks don’t even work for most businesses.

The smart way to handle this is to work on your ability to identify the social media tricks that will work for your brand. You have to get to know your brand and your audience better. Find out your brand voice, if it is clearly defined, if it is effective, where your audience love to hang out online, and where your potential customers love to hang out. Once you get this information, you will know which tactics work for you better.

Reality 3

You Can’t Make Your Content Go Viral

The truth is that no one has actually figured out how to make a content go viral, although there are many strategies you can use to improve your chances. Factors that determine if your post will go viral include what trending that day, the time you share the content, etc. Instead of trying to make your content go viral, create awesome content.

Conclusion

Social media marketing may be complicated, but it is great for business, so if you are consistent and stick to it, you will succeed.

Nick Offerman reads new Calm Sleep Story – “The Big Bad Wolf Learns Anger Management”

0

The latest new Sleep Stories on Calm, the sleep and meditation app, are a series of “Fairy Tales De-Stressed” offering soothing new takes on scary old tales. Today comes “The Big Bad Wolf Learns Anger Management” read by actor Nick Offerman.

That comes on the heels of such recent Sleep Stories as “Rumpelstiltskin Learns To Meditate” and “The Wicked Witch of the West Discovers Mindfulness”. Celebrities Jerome Flynn and Keegan Connor Tracy narrate those bedtime stories.

The shared theme of the new tales is the power of meditation, mindfulness and other mind tools to transform our lives. The three new tales are written by Christina Yang, an American writer of Sleep Stories for Calm.

“We all know the story of the Big Bad Wolf,” says Offerman, the actor, writer, comedian and carpenter, best-known for his role as Ron Swanson in the sitcom, Parks and Recreation. “But in this new version, you hear what happens next – when he goes on a journey and becomes … a different, better kind of wolf. Having blown down the houses of the three little pigs, he has a change of heart and decides to help rebuild them.”

The Big Bad Wolf undergoes a comparable transformation. “The three little pigs suggest that he starts calling himself the Big Good Wolf,” says Offerman. “But he prefers the Big Calm Wolf. And they’re down with that.”

Even Offerman himself goes on a journey of his own, as narrator of the wolf’s tale: “I think I’ve found my new calling – as a Sleep Story narrator,” he says.

Four out of five small Canadian businesses don’t pay to broadcast music

0

A Leger study on Background Music in Canadian Small Businesses commissioned by Stingray sheds light on Canadian small business owners’ lack of awareness of the legal framework governing the use of music in public spaces: 82% are unaware of the applicable legislation and of their legal obligations to performers and composers.

According to the study, while music is considered essential by 71% of respondents, only 11% pay rights to music creators. Also according to the report, 63% of those surveyed are unaware of any regulation preventing them from using a private streaming account to broadcast music publicly in their business. The study also reveals that 48% of business owners consider it important to broadcast Canadian music but only 18% declared being willing to pay tariffs to right holders.

Based on the study’s findings, business owners do not realize that a license is required to broadcast music in a public space. Without a license, they are liable for copyright infringement fines and performing rights societies may decide to pursue the matter through legal channels.

“The Leger study on Background Music in Canadian Small Businesses makes abundantly clear that the work of music creators is often taken for granted,” stated Mathieu Péloquin, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Content of Stingray. “While we commissioned this study to gain a better understanding of the public use of music for our commercial division Stingray Business, we are happy to share the conclusions with the entire music industry. The results reveal that there is a pressing need for stakeholders, policy-makers, and business owners to join forces to address this crucial issue in support of our artists. Today’s findings confirm that further efforts are required to strengthen and communicate the existing legal framework.”

Stingray leverages over a decade of music distribution expertise to provide a turnkey service to broadcast music legally in commercial spaces at a price that is affordable for even the smallest business. Stingray’s hundreds of commercial-free music channels are designed for businesses, screened for inappropriate content and lyrics, and promote Canadian content and creators.

The survey was conducted among 510 small businesses (1 to 9 employees) across Canada with a physical space open to customers. All survey respondents are owners, managers or assistant managers in the following industries: retail, restaurants and bars, personal services (e.g., hairdressers, dry cleaners, and photographers), leisure and entertainment services, hospitality, and veterinary services.
