Nearly two decades into her storied career, 9-time GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, pianist, and 2020ās most livestreamed artist Norah Jones will release her first full live album āTil We Meet Again on April 16. The collection presents globe-spanning performances from the U.S., France, Italy, Brazil, and Argentina that were recorded between 2017-2019. The first single āIt Was You,ā which is available to stream or download today, was recorded at the 2018 Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California with Pete Remm on organ, Christopher Thomas on bass, and Brian Blade on drums. Additional musicians featured on the album include bassist Jesse Murphy, guitarist Jesse Harris, flutist Jorge Continentino, and percussionist Marcelo Costa. āTil We Meet Again can be pre-ordered now on vinyl, CD, or digital download.
The 14 songs featured on āTil We Meet Again also span Jonesā entire career from her 2002 debut Come Away With Me (āDonāt Know Why,ā āIāve Got To See You Again,ā āCold, Cold Heartā), 2004ās Feels Like Home (āSunrise,ā āThose Sweet Wordsā), 2012ās Little Broken Hearts (āAfter The Fallā), 2016ās Day Breaks (āFlipside,ā āTragedyā), as well as her more recent singles series (āIt Was You,ā āBegin Again,ā āJust A Little Bit,ā āFalling,ā and the GRAMMY-nominated āIāll Be Goneā). The album closes with Jonesā stunning solo piano performance of Soundgardenās āBlack Hole Sun,ā a tribute to Chris Cornell that was recorded at the Fox Theatre in Detroit just days after Cornellās death following a performance at the same venue.
